This was our fourth stay at the Snowbird Get-away, but our first stay in the fall. The Get-away is a beautiful single-story home in a beautiful neighborhood on a street lined with old oak trees drenched in spanish moss. A short walk will take you to a dock where depending on the tide you will either see small watercraft coming and going or oyster farms in abundance. While route 117 is to be avoided at all costs, scenic back roads will take you to the beach effortlessly and there are excellent restaurants within walking distance or a short drive within the community. Our host was wonderful. I highly recommend the Snowbird Get-away

We had a wonderful 5 nights/6 day stay at Jeff’s condo, everything was as listed and then some, communicating with Jeff was very easy, he answered all of our questions very quickly. Great location, well stocked kitchen, very comfortable master bedroom bed and the couch was very easy to fall asleep in. Enjoyed the screened in porch every morning as well. We look forward to future stays at Jeff’s condo.

Great location! Home was beautiful and well appointed. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Easy access to the main road however was quiet and peaceful in the neighborhood.

We had such a wonderful stay! Everything about the home was beautiful! We loved all the natural light, the landscaping and especially the screened in porch. The layout of the home is perfect!

Thank you Jeff and Ellen for sharing your wonderful home. Loved the open floor plan. Everyone had their own space and the family was still together. Games, tv, music and conversation all at the same time. The live plants were beautiful and well loved. I thought some were silk! Had a wonderful time. Hope to return.

If you are looking for a getaway from the beach crowd but still close to all the action, this is the place to be. The home was very clean with comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms. There's plenty of room to spread out or gather in comfort. We really enjoyed our mornings at the kitchen breakfast bar where we could drink coffee, talk and plan out our day. The screened in porch was the perfect place to hang out at night and watch the baseball playoffs. The home is filled with plants, which we loved. It was too warm to use the fireplaces, but I imagine that would make for cozy evenings. The community is serene and quiet with friendly families enjoying the evenings outdoors riding bikes or taking walks. If you are a kayaker, the community has a private dock for launching and exploring the Intracoastal Waterway. Thank you Jeff and Ellen for making our Wilmington vacation a memorable one.

We had a wonderful stay at Jeff’s home and would absolutely give it five stars! The location was perfect for our son’s wedding weekend. It was close to downtown Wilmington for the church and wedding festivities and just a short drive to Wrightsville Beach, where we hosted the rehearsal dinner and enjoyed a couple of relaxing days afterward.The home was comfortable, beautifully laid out, and had plenty of space for us to gather and for family to stop by throughout the weekend. We especially loved the quiet neighborhood, beautiful live plants and orchids throughout the house, and the peaceful outdoor spaces. Jeff was a wonderful host. It truly felt was a relaxing home base during a very special and busy weekend. We would definitely stay again!

We truly enjoyed our stay here. The kitchen and house were well stocked with anything we could need. The rooms were nicely decorated and there was plenty of space. We loved the deck and gazebo and particularly enjoyed the screened in porch. We'd stay here again and highly recommend it.

It's just a beautiful house in a beautiful neighborhood. While not far from College Ave and the traffic that brings, this house feels remote and you don't have to get on any busy roads to get to the beaches

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is beautiful and there are several outdoor sitting areas. The kitchen is well-equipped, the beds are comfy, and we did not want for anything! There are also a couple of restaurants within walking distance. We definitely plan to stay here again!

This home is an absolute sanctuary full of lush greenery, and sunlight. It is immediately clear how much love and care has been poured into every inch of the property. We enjoyed exploring all the little sitting nooks inside and out. We especially enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch, sipping wine and listening to the bird calls.
