Beachfront home

A quaint beachfront cottage on the Gulf of Mexico! Leave your car and cares at the Marina (Eldreds or Gasparilla) as this piece of paradise is only accessible by boat or water taxi! Enjoy gorgeous sunsets every evening, shelling, or world class fishing all out your front door.

If you are looking for a quiet tropical island to relax and unplug, LGI is your dream spot! This 2 bedroom home has a king bed, queen bed, full bed, and a pull out couch to accommodate any family comfortably. Everything you need is here, just bring your swimsuit and fishing pole. Full kitchen with all cooking utensils, microwave, toaster, keurig, central air, remolded bathroom, outside shower, washer/dryer, charcoal grill ready on the bottom deck, plenty of hammocks to relax. Beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels all provided. Golf carts available to rent from the golf cart shop on the island to tour the island and go to and from the dock.

This is a bridgeless, barrier island, which GREATLY adds to the old Florida charm of a uncrowded, relaxing beach vacation! There are no paved roads or commercial establishments on the island, only miles of sandy trails and beach walks. The beautiful beach and clear water allows for swimming or beach relaxing all day, shelling, bird watching, dolphin and manatee viewing, playing with your children, but best of all-the BRILLIANT sunsets at the end of each perfect day! Our nightlife consists of giant sea turtles laying their eggs, sunset walks, or golf cart rides around the island! Come get away from the mainland madness and visit our little hidden gem at LGI!

Accommodates: 6 guest maximum! We can not exceed capacity in our island home due to the fragile septic systems.

Sorry no smoking, pets are permitted (1 dog under 50 pounds) upon owner approval and requires a $200 non refundable pet fee.

Minimum renter age is 25. Guests will be evicted if found not to meet age requirements upon check in.

LGI FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.....
*You can not drive your car to the island and the only access is via boat or water taxi. There is no vehicle ferry.
*You must park your car at the Marina, Eldreds Marina, parking is $8/day and is perfectly safe.
*The water taxi will take you directly to our lanes dock. Pirates water taxi 941-697-5777.
*All homes come with a grill. This one is a charcoal grill so please remember to bring charcoal and lighter fluid with you.
*You must bring all groceries with you-no stores are on the island.
*There are first responders on the island if needed.
*You can fish off the dock or off the beach but fishing licenses are required.
*Gold carts are NOT necessary as the island is only 2 miles long and 100-200 yards wide. They are fun to explore but not necessary. If you do use one you are not allowed to drive a golf cart on the beach.
*Turtle season is May 1st thru October. During this time no personal items, chairs, umbrellas, etc can be left in the beach.

beach relaxation

Nothing luxury expected on this quiet island, just the basics and a lot of relaxation, which this property provides adequately. Beach access is right there, so you can save beachfront money and still essentially have beachfront access. Firepit was a great way to end the day, and that sunset!

Great house

The house was amazing. The location could not have been better. There was so much wildlife to see everyday. The beach was quiet, which is what we enjoy. It is shame that there is a monopoly on the water taxi. We would of liked to get off of the island for a day to explore more of Florida, but his fees are unreal. The couple of people who seemed to think that they could just park their golf carts at the house to walk to the beach was frustrating.

Peaceful tranquility

The perfect location

Our trip was for a quick 4 day getaway to the island. Communication with the host was quick and easy. The location is ideal for its access to the beach and enjoying the sunsets. Boat dock was convenient and our overall experience was perfect. Would definitely book again!

Great Stay on Little Gasparilla

This house is a great option on quiet, funky Little Gasparilla Island. The property is extremely clean and comfortable. The location -- twenty steps to the Gulf beach--- is amazing. The house is quite near Don Pedro Island State Park which has two miles of dune trails, a long empty beach, and a dock on a small sheltered bay. This property is a perfect way to explore LGI.

Relaxing Stay

Quaint and comfortable cottage conveniently located near it’s dock space on the bay side and steps from the beach. Enjoyed the hammocks, beach chairs and floats that were available for our use. Loved sitting out on the upper patio as well to enjoy the beautiful beach view. Susie was an amazing host and so helpful every step of the way!

A Piece of Paradise

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Little Gasparilla Island. If you are looking for a gateway with lots of peace, and quiet this is the place for you. I would say plan accordingly- large grocery bags are a must unless you are going to arrange for trash pick up. Make water taxi arrangements days before you arrive, they are busy and fill up quickly. Same for golf carts. Bring plenty of bug repellent and sunscreen. Our host, Susie is great, very attentive, and responsive. This is a lovely place and we can't wait to go back.

LGI cottage

The cottage was great! Beach front gulf views, nice spacious front porch. The area under the raised Beach house style cottage was a great space to spend lazy afternoons. Complete with plenty of seating, a charcoal grill and a tiiki ring toss game to enjoy. Beach at one end if the lane and a fishing dock on he other end if the lane... what else could you ask for. Little Gasparilla Island is s great getaway and everyone we met on the island was super friendly.

Paradise

This was our first visit to the island. The beach view was beautiful. This house was beautiful and conveniently located to the beach. It was amazing to sit out on the front deck and just watch the beach. Which we sat out on every morning and night listening to the waves. This was a place where you could truly just bring your swimsuit. There was also a beautiful lower deck where we had bbq’s and enjoyed relaxing on the hammocks. I would highly recommend this home, we will be coming back time and time again. 5 stars

Just What We Needed

We have been staying at LGI for the past 6 years; this was actually our 5th house and 8th stay on the island, and it was our family favorite. The house isn't particularly large, but the kitchen and living room is open and spacious. The beds were comfortable, except for the top bunk bed. There were plenty of pillows and sheets and towels. There is no dish washer, but the double sink was perfect for washing and drying dishes. If you need to wash any clothes, the washer and dryer on the bottom deck (1st floor) are large and conveniently located. The house had everything we needed. Honestly, we spent more time on the beach and the wooden porch/deck than inside the lovely home. From the deck, you can sit and enjoy the ocean view and listen to the waves and get lost in the sunsets. The home is so close to the beach that you can literally see the dolphins swimming by! Our 7 year old and 9 year old would go to the beach and play in the sand, and we could watch them from the deck. Our small dog loved the open space and chasing the squirrels and sniffing the turtles. Since the house has a large area in front of (and behind) it, we had a bit more privacy, which was really nice. The owner, Susie, was a sweetheart and extremely responsive, kind, and accommodating. It was a truly magical stay, and we look forward to returning soon!

Our home was built by my husbands father back in 1973-1974! His grandfather and many other family members built houses here on the north end of the island. My husband has been coming down to LGI since he was three years old and spent most summers here and any other breaks as his mother was a teacher. We took over the home in 2005 and have raised our kids coming here to the island any break and time we can get down here! It is our little piece of paradise and such a great place to get away from reality and embrace family time! We can’t imagine life without LGI

We are right on the beach but have 3 extra lots so we have space in front of the house for bonfires and back yard for family game time! We have an upper deck to relax or eat dinner on and watch the sunsets and a lower deck with hammocks to relax on after a long day at the beach. Down stairs shower is perfect for rinsing off or taking an outside shower if the upstairs one is taken. Also this is our cherished getaway and not just a rental so we do open our doors for you to enjoy but don’t rent often or constantly. Perfect home for the perfect beach getaway!
