Treetop Escape Prime Location & Privacy in One

PRIME LOCATION & PRIVACY rolled into one! Welcome to our Treetop Escape! Located high atop Appalachian Ski Mountain, our newly updated home is just a few minutes from Blowing Rock, 10 minutes from Boone and close to every high country attraction. You’ll enjoy breathtaking views of both sunrise and sunset from the deck of this private spot! Drive up the paved driveway as the trees open up to welcome you to this 4 bedroom, 2 bath home with loads of entertainment, parking and high speed internet.

The Space

Walk into the home’s main living area where you’ll be greeted with natural light from the floor to ceiling windows. The stone fireplace with exposed flutes, two sitting areas and a large sectional provide a cozy atmosphere for relaxing, sipping coffee, playing games or catching your favorite shows on the large Smart HDTV. Enjoy tall Adirondack chairs on the deck for taking in the view or the wet bar stocked with all the tools you’ll need to prepare the perfect cocktail.

The charming kitchen has stainless steel appliances and windows over the sink for even more views. The back corner holds the dining room with a large round table and extra seating, as well as a buffet. Connecting the kitchen and dining room is a small hallway with a washer an dryer and a large pantry for storage.

The main floor also hold two master bedrooms each with King beds, smart HDTVs and vanities. They share a full size bathroom with newly updated fixtures and cabinetry and a walk-in shower.

Behind the stone fireplace, take the stairs down to find the second living space full of entertainment. Relax in the seating area around the second fireplace to watch a movie or enjoy a game of shuffleboard or Foosball behind you.

Downstairs also holds the bunk room with a twin over twin and full over full. Let the kids enjoy this room with their own large Smart HDTV, dresser and small desk. Across the living room is the fourth bedroom with a queen bed, Smart HDTV and private vanity. Another full size bathroom with newly updated fixtures and cabinetry and a bathtub/shower combo is also downstairs. The lower deck has a table with seating for four to enjoy the views.

Venture out to the garage for more entertainment with a ping pong table and dartboard. Enjoy using the grill for dinner or making s'mores around the fire pit.

Great Get Away

We planned a little mountain getaway with our family of six (four children 9 and under) and my elderly parents. The accommodations were extremely clean, kitchen stocked with any utensil/pot/pan you would need, a room of bunk beds (great for my older 3 children), games galore (ping pong, arcade games, fuse-ball, etc). The location is beautiful… high on a mountain with wonderful sunrises and sets. Very close to town. We had a wonderful, restful time. Thanks so much!

A Lasting Memory. We Can’t Wait to Return!

From the moment we arrived and looked at the view off the porch we were enamored. Perfectly located between Boone and Blowing Rock. Central to the Blue Ridge Parkway and everything else we wanted to see/do. The kitchen is perfectly stocked and the bar tools! Oh my! I went home and ordered my own. I will say there is no air conditioning downstairs and these July nights were tough. But that can be fixed with bringing a fan or two. All the games downstairs kept all of our guest entertained. I will say we did establish the high score on Pacman and we can’t wait to be back to defend that score. We had late night ping pong matches worth bragging over. We felt like we were in a treehouse high away from the hustle and bustle. We will most definitely return.

The house is amazing it suited our family perfectly! The biggest drawback was NO AC on the lower level!😓My son is a huge “ hotbox” and he was close to miserable. The other very disappointing thing was no propane to cook our dinner!!!!🙄🤔😩 Note: When we arrived there was water on the hardwoods from the red AC pipe. I never noticed it after that. Might I suggest getting mini splits for lower level. It’s not winter in August. Thank you for sharing your home with us! We made wonderful memories!!

Wonderful Place to Stay!

We stayed here with 9 people from our extended family; grandparents, parents, and kids! We loved the view, walking in the quiet neighborhood, and all the games in the basement! We came to the mountains for a trip to Tweetsie Railroad, and the location was perfect for that. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautifully decorated home!

House Highlights

Some highlights about this house others may not post reviews about but definitely are worth a mention: 1. The cooking supplies were very nice - and they had a crock pot which we really needed! 2. The game room area downstairs was perfect for our boys to play and keep them occupied while the rain poured outside. 3. The slope of the driveway is steep, however, we were able to park 4 cars without having to park any on a slope. There is no more room for any additional vehicles though - which is pretty typical of a mountain house. 4. If you like to run in the mountains I suggest going left out of the driveway. ;)

Long Weekend

We loved our stay at this property! The view was beautiful and the location was perfect for us, right between Boone and Blowing Rock. The house had everything we needed, plenty of space for the 6 of us, and was clean and comfortable. Tom was very helpful. We definitely recommend this property. Thanks for a great long weekend in the mountains!

Already booked another stay!

We had the best time! We loved the 2 levels so that one family could be downstairs and the other upstairs. The games were a lot of fun. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked. We also enjoyed the area! Cannot wait to return!

Wonderful home

Treetop Escape has a lovely feel to it. A well maintained home with good bones, beautifully furnished. The bed was so comfy we took a peek at the labels. The location is perfect, high up, between Boone & Blowing Rock, 5 mins to the BRP. Views from the deck are spectacular. Highly recommend

Lovely Mountain Home

We had a wonderful weekend in this home celebrating my daughter’s 13th birthday with a couple of her friends. They LOVED the bunk room and had lots of fun playing ping-pong, darts, and foosball, so the adults were able to relax and enjoy conversation and movies upstairs. The property owners are very nice and responsive, and the home was exceptionally clean and comfortable.

Beautiful home, great location, perfect for families!

We rented this home for a big family weekend, and it was lovely! The house is located about half way between Boone and Blowing Rock, which made it easy for us to go to Blowing Rock for the park and shopping, and also have access to the easier food and grocery options in Boone. The house itself was very clean, beautifully decorated, and very well stocked for a weekend rental (Roku TVs in every room, plenty of linens and towels, fire pit, wood burning fireplaces). We had a group of 10 people (adults and kids) and there was plenty of room for us to eat together, sit in the living room together, and sleep comfortably! The driveway and parking was also easy to navigate with 3 big cars, which is unique for mountain rentals.

Great location and comfortable accommodations

The pictures don't do the place justice. It living space is even nicer than the pictures represent. The beds were very comfortable and all the games in downstairs location are in good shape (ping pong, shuffleboard, etc..). We honestly didn't use them as much as we had planned since we spent so much time visiting nearby locations. The location is fantastic for visiting Blowing Rock, Boone and ASU - each one is ~ 10 minutes away. The home is very private and has a very nice firepit outside as well. The owner communicated with me via text and was readily available for any questions.

Beautiful home in a great locations

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. We visited with our extended family and this home was perfect for both children and elderly grandparents. Our elderly family members had access into the home, their bedroom, and the common living spaces without having to use many stairs or steep hills. The children enjoyed the game room and the privacy of the downstairs living spaces. Kitchen was well equipped, the views were beautiful, and the home is located very close to town. The home owners were very responsive to any questions and made special accommodations for the trash as the usual trash dump location was closed during our stay. We would caution other visitors specifically looking for air conditioned homes that the downstairs bedrooms are not air conditioned. The top floor is air conditioned and the flow of air easily kept the living room downstairs cool. However the downstairs bedrooms were warm on the warmer days of our visit. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and would love to visit again in the Fall when air conditioning is not needed.

Private Mountain Retreat

My wife and I have 4 kids, but were smart enough to leave them behind for some peace and quiet. The owners reached out to introduce themselves and provided detailed instructions. The property was easy to access, pristine and comfortably furnished. The upstairs area was inviting and the bedrooms cozy - it definitely felt like a home away from home. The downstairs felt like it's own apartment and entertainment area. The shuffleboard, table tennis and other games where in perfect working condition. We've stayed in the area probably a dozen times over the years and will be looking here first next time we visit, especially when bringing the whole family.

Beautiful Home

It was a pleasure staying at this house. It was the perfect size, super cozy, and beautifully decorated! My only advice would be having a better system with trash removal especially if the guest are checking out on a Sunday. We had to drive home with trash in our car. Other than that, we will definitely be booking again!

Perfect Stay

This home was the perfect mountain getaway. Very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is well equipped and there are a lot of fun games for the kids (and big kids). The Wi-Fi is great and so are all the smart TVs in the home. Close to Boone and Blowing Rock, you are close to all the popular destinations. The owners are very responsive and provide great communication. We can’t wait to stay here again!
