Follow a quick trail to crystal clear Lover’s Lake where you can enjoy the natural vistas from the provided two paddle boards or two person kayak. Plan your picnic and barbeque at the private deeded lake park. Take a quick bike, walk, or drive and enjoy Chatham quaint shops and spectacular beaches. 1 mile downtown Chatham, 1.5 miles to lighthouse beach, 100 yards to Lovers Lake, and 50 yards to the Rail Trail. Wow! Stunning property: immaculate, stylish, practical, whimsical & thoughtfully decorated with lots of modern, extra special amenities. We loved the outdoor grill & eating area & lounge sofas, the espresso pods & house warming basket, proximity to the lake w kayaks & SUP boards, and the comfort, cleanness, and beautiful decor of beds, sofas, linens & decor. A perfect stay for our family.

Wow this place has it all. The hosts were easy to communicate with and the house is even better than the listing. You really just need to bring clothes- they have every house and beach need covered. The bikes are super convenient for older kids and families and they have many baby items inside including high chairs, pack and play, toys, and more. We had 2 families with kids ranging from 1-9 and it was the perfect place to be. And don’t miss out on the lake- the kayaks and sups were so great and fun to use.

Vivian's Hideaway is a beautiful home in one of the nicest neighborhoods in Chatham. It is a ten minute drive to downtown Chatham and 20 minutes from Nauset Beach on the Atlantic and Skaket Beach on Cape Cod Bay. The house is decorated with lovely furniture and is stocked with everything you will need. It also has a large outdoor deck with dining table and furniture around a gas fire pit. The landscaped property is wonderful. Scott and Maggie are thoughtful and helpful hosts. Enjoy a great vacation at this special home!

Absolutely perfect! Everything recently renovated/new. Outside is immaculate, new deck, grill, great stocked shed with bikes and beach stuff. The lake is great too. Loved the beautiful inside. Stocked kitchen, thanks for the wine and paper products also! Literally like a new house.

The house was incredible. One of the many highlights of our trip. Location was great. They thought of everything we could possibly need from bikes, to beach chairs, beach bags and towels, games, puzzles, extra propane tanks for the fire pit, etc. Even tooth brushes if you forgot one :). Very comfortable and very clean. We are definitely looking forward to our next visit.

Best VRBO we've stayed in!

It had everything ! Close to the lake, close to the beach, close to downtown Chatham, included bikes, included paddle boards....great patio to hang out, kitchen included everything...coffee pods and lobster pot...we enjoyed ourselves immensely! Thank you so much! Hope to come back soon!

Great family getaway

Our group of 3 adults and one 2 1/2-year-old just enjoyed a wonderful week at this hide-a-way vacation home. The house was extremely clean and well stocked, anything we needed was provided from linens to paper products and cleaning supplies. As a tea drinker, I really appreciated the assortment of teas and the tea/coffee nook. We had gorgeous weather so took full advantage of the deck, grill, firepit, outdoor shower and short walk to the lake. Loved the layout of the home and the cozy bright family room on the first floor - also great to have laundry facilities. The location in Chatham is ideal for access to route 28 - bay beaches are a short drive as is downtown Chatham, the fish pier, playground, grocery stores, etc. The hosts provided all the information we needed for smooth check-in & check-out, property details and local favorites to help with our experience. The home is in a lovely quiet neighborhood. We all agreed we would stay at this property again without hesitation.

Vivian's Hideaway Chatham

Vivian's Hideaway in Chatham is a lovely home in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood, ten minutes from downtown Chatham and 20 minutes from the local Cape Cod Bay and ocean beaches. Scott and Maggie are terrific hosts. They are helpful, always available, and encouraging to their guests to have a fantastic vacation. The home is impeccably decorated with furniture and modern appliances. The outdoor patio with dining table and comfy furniture around a natural gas fire pit is a wonderful gathering space. This home deserves respect and care from its guests to match the respect and care of its owners. Our family enjoyed every moment.

Family Vacation

We spent a week on the Cape and had a great time! The house was perfect for the 4 of us - we enjoyed the Lake, going into town and being able to drive to different parts of the Cape as it was so centrally located. The house was well equipped, furnished and made us feel at home right away. We would definitely come back!

Everything you need for a memorable Cape Cod vacation

Great vacation rental in a convenient location, just a short drive into the village of Chatham. Neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Lovers Lake was a nice place to enjoy the setting sun on the shoreline or on kayak. The beach gear provided made us feel like we had packed our car up with everything we needed, though traveled here by plane with just our carry ons! Beach chairs, towels, easy to set up shade, coolers, toys and metal detector made for several fun days at multiple different beaches. Also a hit with the teens was the vintage typewriter and many books in the hallway desk area. This was the only place the owners displayed their personal mementos, giving you a sense of their love for Cape Cod, yet allowing you the rest of the property to feel like your own for the week. My husband love the portable JBL speaker provided for use. This place is fully stocked with everything you may need. The wonderful shampoo and body wash in every shower including the outdoor one was just the touch to make this accommodation luxurious!

Beautifully updated in a great location

My family had a wonderful vacation at this property. It was ideal for a two family getaway as there are two separate areas of the house. My parents stayed downstairs in the king bed. My wife and I and our 2 kids (3 and 1 year) were upstairs in the remaining 3 bedrooms. The house is super modern with high end finishes and a fully stocked kitchen. We cooked every day at the house and never ran into kitchen utensils or anything that we would have needed and weren’t available. The deck was incredible. A retractable awning was easy to operate and gave some shade. There is a new Webber grill and gas fire fixture as well. This was such a beautiful house. The landscaping was great too. Our kids loved the outdoor shower. The shed is loaded with outdoor activities. The bike path is right down the road and the lake is a short walk away. If you have little kids like we do I would just recommend bringing some kind of tension gate for the stairs. We had to rig something up so that my rambunctious 1 year old wouldn’t fall down the stairs. Once again we had a wonderful time here and would certainly book again in the upcoming years.

Wonderful!

Vivian's Hideaway is a beautiful home that offers all the amenities you need to have a fabulous vacation. Very stylish, immaculately clean, and comfortable. Have stayed in many rental properties and this was by far the most well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The outdoor space was lovely for dining and relaxing. Close proximity to lake, downtown, and beaches. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend this property!

The perfect getaway

We absolutely loved our time at Scottie and Maggie’s beautiful home. They were so responsive with any questions we had and are so friendly. The house was incredibly clean and spacious, and the location was perfect. It was also extremely well-stocked with everything we needed (kitchen, bathrooms, shed, grill supplies, etc.). The outdoor patio is also such a gem. My entire family would highly recommend Vivian’s Hideaway for your Chatham stay!

Family Cape Cod Getaway Chatham 2023

Vivian’s Hideaway truly is the best of both worlds!! We felt right at home. Our family loved the house and location! The house was immaculate and had every amenity possible. We loved the tea and coffee draw, the abundance of towels, the lovely colors of the plates and cups, and the aesthetics of the home!! Absolutely stunning! Every morning we walked down to the lake to paddle board, fish, and kayak. Having both at our disposal was heavenly! We even got up at 6:30 our last day so we could have a final go around the lake. Pretty amazing! The outdoor shower was lovely and the only shower we used! Every evening we sat around the fire pit and played games and had so much fun! The house had easy access to the bike trails and walking paths which we took advantage of and had a blast! We did explore the beaches on the list provided, but the lake was so lovely we never went to the beach! Spent every moment at the lake reading or on the water. The owners Scott and Maggie were lovely to deal with! I requested a Dutch oven and they had a brand new one for us! So nice to not have to bring ours! The beds and bedding were EXTREMELY comfortable! So much so, I asked for the make. Lol It was also lovely to have central air! 10 out of 10! Loved every minute there. Thank you Scott and Maggie! See you next year!❤️ Thank you for the lovely basket, it made us feel very welcomed.

Excellent property

Stayed at property from 7/29-8/5. Wonderful time. House has all the amenities you could ask for and centrally located to numerous beaches and town. Great deck with my favorite thing, a large outdoor shower. Also really liked the propane fire pit and expresso maker - nice touches. Would definitely return.

Superb

We had a fantastic family vacation at Vivian’s Hideaway. The house is great. The patio, with fire pit, is a terrific place to hang out. The kitchen/eating area and downstairs living room are as well. The location is also excellent—an easy bike or car ride into Chatham. The lake nearby is less than a 5 minute walk and is great for swimming, kayaking, etc. What is truly remarkable is the degree to which Scott and Maggie have thought of everything guests might need on the Cape—from beach chairs to bikes to extra towels and toiletries and kitchen equipment. They were incredibly responsive to our questions and provided an amazing experience. We’d definitely recommend it!

Mid-westerners enjoying the Cape

Great place to stay in Chatham. Very clean lovely cottage, decorated in a beachy style. Comfortably living room for gathering the family together. The home has a kitchen to die for. Everything you could possibly need, probably more than you have at home. The best part is a sliding door leading out to a huge patio. Lots of seating with cushioned chairs couch and a large table.

Everything, and then some!

Not only was the property beautiful and immaculate when we checked in, but the hosts were some of the most accommodating I’ve experienced through rental sites. We felt right at home from the start and Vivian’s Hideaway is stocked with anything families with children could need. The patio is also a lovely addition for a relaxing afternoon or dinner by the fire pit. I highlight recommend this stay!

Fantastic home!

We had a fabulous stay at Vivian’s Hideaway! The home was immaculate and decorated beautifully. They had everything we could possibly need and we loved the outdoor area. Location is close to bike path, tennis courts and it’s so easy to get to town, beaches etc. The hosts couldn’t have been more responsive or attentive to making sure we were comfortable. We love Chatham and this home didn’t disappoint. We’ll be back!

Absolutely delightful stay!

Our stay at Vivian’s Hideaway was wonderful! The house was beautifully decorated, well appointed and extremely clean and comfortable. We appreciated the thoughtful welcome basket and thoroughly enjoyed cooking in the ample sized, well equipped kitchen. The incredible selection of tea (and coffee) delighted all of us . A favorite was relaxing in the lovely outdoor patio space and indulging in the outdoor shower with tastefully selected body wash, shampoo and conditioner in all the showers. The bikes, chairs and many other outdoor amenities were appreciated and well utilized by the whole family. Of particular note was the ever present attentiveness and warmth of owners Scottie and Maggie. They were absolutely terrific to communicate with! Would highly recommend this home for a memorable and wonderful Cape Cod getaway!
