The house was clean and decorated as shown in the pics. The beds…not good at all. My spouse and I are not by any means “huge” people. We are within normal limits for our weight/height. So we did not expect to “sink” in the master room bed. We turned over the foam crate cushion and we still “sank” in the bed. There was a huge hump between us. We decided to check out the other two bedrooms and those beds were just as bad.
The river in front of the house is full of tree limbs making it impossible for our children to even get in the water or swim off the pier. I realize there may be DNR rules regarding removing the tree limbs but this should have been declosed in the house description and pics.
My spouse found a hot tub “screen” sitting on the bottom of the hot tub. I texted the homeowner to let her know so we wouldn’t be responsible for what the may have occurred while the last renters were there. The home owner did respond quickly to my texts. The water in hot tub was not very clean even though the home owner stated in her texts the maintenance person was there the day before. Not sure how well the maintenance person cleaned or looked over the hot tub before we arrived.
Our experience on the sand bar was far from exciting. It was completely ruined after a grown woman on another pontoon was vomiting in the water right next to us.
For the amount of money we spent to stay at the Trace, we should not have to “start a load of laundry” before we check out.
