We enjoyed this property very much! Highly recommend kayaking the waterway for dolphin and manatee sightings. Beautiful views!

Relaxing Florida Getaway

House was lovely: very clean, very spacious. Yard and view were absolutely beautiful. Very comfortable: like a home away from home. We have already recommended this place to friends.

Ed was great, check in was easy. Really nice house, very well equipped, kitchen had everything we needed. Incredible views, great grill and fire pit.

Phenomenal

We really enjoyed our stay. The property is outstanding, particularly if you are outdoor oriented. Great variety of wildlife and spectacular view. Ed could not be more accommodating and responsive.

Great spot

A great place to stay. I find this house very comfortable for up to six people. The view is amazing. We sat on the deck and watched fish jump from the water. The house was clean and we were able to prepare our fresh caught fish in the kitchen. We love this place and will be returning in the fall.

Great vacation home!

The place looks even better in person. The location was great, very well communication from the host. I would totally reccomend this property to other guests. My only recommendation to the owner is to have tvs in the other rooms and cable or online apps available to watch TV. Only air antenna available.

Waterfront Welcome

The house was comfortable; the porch was perfect for relaxing and watching waterfront activities (quite a stream of boats passing by) and wildlife (lots of water birds). The kitchen had all the necessary utensils and equipment for us to make two holiday meals, which was a nice surprise.

Excellent Location for Fishing and Overall

Just a few minutes down the road from Matlacha, this property is excellent. Right on the water we enjoyed fishing off the dock and renting kayaks (there was one kayak and a canoe provided). Everything was easy and Ed was a great host. The property was spacious and had everything we needed and more. For fishing in particular, there are tons of Snook that run up the canal. Fishing the endless mangroves was a blast and we hope to visit again sometime.

Great Stay!

A great house, location, and manager make this an easy choice. The split floor plan is great for families or couples that want a bit of privacy while staying in this large home. The view speaks for itself for the beautiful location with nice neighbors and a steady flow of locals going by in the canal. The sunroom facing the canal and mangroves is the BEST room to have coffee, work, or smell the the steaks on the grill in the back yard. Ed, the manager, is polite, fun, and professional.

ShoreView Drive

This is an older property, but well maintained, great layout, and conveniently located. The pictures are accurate and Ed, the property manager is excellent. He responds quickly to any questions or issues, resolving everything professionally. The use of the kayak, canoe, water board, and bikes is a big plus, especially given the launching convenience.

Home with a view

The house was spacious and comfortable. The photos of the house and property are on target. The view is amazing and we were able to fish off the dock. Ed was great. He responded quickly to any questions. The only drawback was the TV. Beautiful sets but not able to view the channels we wanted. I did find the sliding glass doors didn't seem to move easily. Also, on our last day we did a load of laundry and realized the dryer was not heating up. Overall a great place to stay and would recommend . On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give an 9.

Great Matlacha Bayview location

One of the nicest places we've stayed in over the last 30 trips to the area. The house was very clean, well furnished and Ed, the property manager, was very responsive. We went for a fishing trip and were very happy with the location (an 8-minute trip to open water) and the boat lift was great. There is a bit of traffic passing by in the channel and you will appreciate the lift. Some notes not in the listing... There are both Keurig and pot coffee makers, so you can plan accordingly. There is a gas grill that was in really good condition (sometimes, there are really bad grills at these properties). The canoe, paddle board and kayak were great for checking out the shallow bay just off the dock. There were two bikes also available, but we didn't use them, but looked in good shape. There's a 5-minute walk to Miceli's Restaurant, which is a favorite restaurant of ours. In summary, we could not have been happier with our rental in the area. We will definitely be coming back.

Kayakers dream

House was nice, comfortable and clean. Just my wife and I but the house would have been very comfortable for three couples. We rented for the location to go kayaking for the week. The location is perfect for kayaking and kayak fishing. Nice sandy area right off the sea wall to get in and out of kayaks. Do bring water shoes as there a lot of oysters shells around as well. The location takes you directly into the mangrove flats for miles and miles. I fly fished from my kayak and caught snook, sea trout and mangrove snapper. Many sandy flats areas where you can anchor the kayaks and hop out to cool off in the water. Also fished off the dock in the evenings and caught several kinds of fish. Saw several red fish but could not hook up on one. Sea life is incredible with rays, sharks, and schools of fish swimming by the kayak all day. Saw dolphin every day off the dock or while boating. Had Manatee swim by the dock one evening while we were enjoying the sunset. Great location for local restaurants as well. Walking distance to Micelis bar and restaurant. Rented from Gulf Coast Kayaks and were very happy with their boats. Also they are less than a mile away if there are any problems. If you like kayaking this is the place. If you like fishing this is also a great place. A flats boat would work here for fishing as well. Hope to come back in the future.

Relaxing getaway.

Terrific water view off the back three season seating area. Plenty of separate seating areas in this house. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, pots and pans. Lots of towels, so you didn’t have to do laundry every day. We had an issue with the refrigerator, but our property manager Ed M., tackled the issue right away. The home owners made concessions on our behalf. If we’re back in the area anytime soon I will check this property’s availability.

Beautiful Matlacha Stay!

Property was perfect for the six of us. Clean, well stocked with toys for the water, beautiful areas for gathering and spending quality family time!! Fishing off the boat dock and admiring the view from the gorgeous back porch was our favorite thing’s to do! We will be back for sure!!

Wonderful

The view says it all. We spent a lot of time sitting in the lovely, shaded yard watching the boats go by, the osprey fish, and the mullet jump. We saw dolphins and manatee. The house was just perfect.; it had everything we needed and then some. The enclosed, screened porch meant we could watch the bay at all times and eat “outside.” The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was well- supplied. There was a Publix about a mile away and a store called Farmer Joe’s just a little bit further. There were several fresh fish places in Matlacha and fruits and vegetables were available at a little store near the Publix. Restaurants were plentiful and close by in Matlacha. The manager was fantastic. He was very easy to reach and responded immediately. We had a wonderful stay and hope we can return one day. It was so peaceful.

Great location

The home was spacious for our family. The teens loved the TV room and recliners. Enjoyed our mornings drinking coffee on the enclosed back porch, watching for manatee and waving to the boaters as they went by. The water was calm and warm. Everyone kayaked or canoed on the provided equipment. We cooked dinner and ate as a family several nights. Kitchen was well equipped and easy to entertain in. We had a lovely time as a family and were grateful to call this home for a week.

Wonderful Matlacha Getaway

Fantastic place! We loved watching all of the boats, kayaking, fishing from the dock and grilling out. The sunroom is the perfect place to read or work and the neighborhood is quiet. Easy bike ride to all of the restaurants and shops in Matlacha. Ed was great...easy check-in process, very helpful and promptly answered our questions. Would recommend!

Beautiful location and peaceful

We saw manatees, dolphins, crabs and jumping fish right from the back yard and dock. Lanai is large, very comfortable and was able to work a bit while enjoying the wonderful view of the bay. Best office Ive ever had. Neighbors were kind and welcoming too, felt right at home. Had a relaxing stay. Close to stores when you need it too. Ed was easy to reach and gave us helpful tips!
