CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: AMENITY CLOSINGS EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 27, 2025

SunDestin Beach Resort is currently undergoing exterior construction around the property. The indoor pool, outdoor pool, and on-site restaurant are projected to be closed until the beginning of January 2026.

Please be aware that construction activity may result in noise between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM daily. Our goal is to keep you informed ahead of time so you can make the most of your stay with us.

Parking in the main lot may be limited. Please note that the drive-through area at the main lobby entrance, typically used for loading and unloading luggage, may be temporarily closed. Each one-and two-bedroom condo is allowed one vehicle only. Any additional cars will need to park in the overflow lot across the street.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding as the resort works to improve and enhance the overall guest experience.

Welcome to the SunDestin Beach Resort by Scenic Stays, the premier condominium in the heart of Destin situated on a private beach overlooking the Gulf of Mexico! The onsite Scenic Stays team at SunDestin looks forward to welcoming you to your next beach vacation at our 24-hour front desk. The experience of a lifetime awaits! SunDestin Beach Resort features expansive onsite amenities including a newly renovated outdoor pool, indoor pool (heated seasonally), outdoor hot tub, steam room, sauna, newly renovated onsite restaurant , outdoor tiki bar (open seasonally), workout facility, event/meeting space, gift shop, complimentary DVD rentals and much more!

Upon entry to SunDestin Unit 111, you are greeted by a fully appointed, well stocked kitchen for home cooked meals or a quick snack to take to the beach. An open dining and living room concept immediately follow, with comfortable seating for 4 guests and a relaxing sofa and armchair set after a long day at the beach and pool. Sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico and the emerald waters welcome you from the living room and spacious balcony with seating for two. Enjoy beautiful sunrises and calming sunsets directly overlooking the beach!

Refresh every night in the comfortable king bed located in the master bedroom, while the kids relax in the double sofa sleeper located in the living room. Enjoy the flat panel televisions located in the living room and bedroom both equipped with DVD players. DVD rentals are available in the lobby directly across from the gift shop!

Guests under 22 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone throughout their stay. Pets are unfortunately not welcome and are subject to immediate departure if found to be inhabiting a property. Smoking is strictly forbidden.

Please note that La Dolce Vita is the beach service vendor for this property. While beach service rentals are not included in your stay, you can easily contact them directly for all your rental needs.

No Splash Pad and not clean

When we arrived we had to ask why the splash pad wasn’t on and Managament informed us the parts had been sent out and they had no idea when they would be returned. The room was covered in sand before we even went on the beach. From your knees down the place was dirty and not well maintained. There is also a window to the hallway in the bedroom with a giant light right next to it. Even with the blackout curtains it looks like a tv is on in the room permanently from the amount of light.

Super clean, every employee we talked to was kind and helpful, clean rooms, and quiet. The only complaint we had was the splash pad was broken. Excellent place to stay!!

Great family vacation!

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this resort. The only gripe we had was that there was no washer and dryer in the unit. We had to go upstairs and pay to use the one on the 2nd floor. The unit seemed a bit outdated -- sofa and cushions seemed somewhat old, damp and unclean. Other than that, this 1st floor unit was pretty convenient and decent for the price.

Perfect condo for young kids!

You can't pick a better location if you have young children! The patio walks right out to the splash pad, indoor(heated)and outdoor pools, and outdoor hot tub. I could sit on patio and watch my kids play on the splash pad. Beach access is steps away and carrying all our stuff with 3 kids this was a must and you can't beat being close for lunch and bathrooms. The DVD rental actually was nice and we were able to watch several great movies. The king bed was very comfortable but the pull out sofa is what it is, so keep that in mind. We stuck the small kids on it so not too bad, although my 10yo complained. Do bring a blanket if you plan to use the sofa and thankfully we brought one. Plenty of towels, enough tp and paper towels for us but no seasonings at all(not even salt and pepper). Front staff was able to give me a handful of those tiny packets in disposable silverware. There are S&P shakers so I'd recommend that the management fill those at least a little. Dish soap and dish washer detergent are provided along with a packet of laundry detergent but the laundry is not free, it's on site coin operation. You can walk across the st to chick fil a, shake place, and surf shop. Drivable and close to lots of restaurants, shopping, groceries, Walmart. We had a random fluke of an accident with a glass baking dish from the condo exploding and this could have been very serious but thankfully my husband was only minimally hurt and staff seemed very concerned. They even called to check after we left. Oh and I'd recommend management getting a new dust pan since the one provided is very cracked and makes cleaning sand up difficult. Also if you having trouble sleeping with any light then bring a mask as the bedroom window is facing the hallway with a light on all the time. There are blinds and curtains and we were fine but just fyi. And I recommend a sound machine if people in the hallway bother you also(very minimal sounds but some people get up super early). The rest of the condo we couldn't hear any neighbors or anything. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall okay

The location of the room is perfect. Upon arrival it appeared the floors had not been vacuumed. I understand that you are at the beach, but having a vacuum handy to attempt to rid the floors of sand would be nice. Or a rug of some sort by the sliding doors. The hot tub was closed the majority of the week which was a big disappointment. The indoor hot tub just doesn’t have the same relaxing appeal as the outdoor one.

Older resort

The room was great for a five year old with pool and splash pad right at patio. Beach access 50 feet away. Left items on patio undisturbed. The king bed was comfortable. The sofa and love seat had few stains,, asked for extra sheets to cover with,, no problem.. kitchen clean and well equipped.Ladies at gift shop were outstanding. However, best of all we left four pair of shoes there, one being grandsons brand new pair of vans and they were found by house keeper, turned into desk. Called and they were more than happy to help me retrieve the items, Bryant being one, but big thanks to house keeper, do not have that persons name. Over all, it was not fancy but it was totally comfortable, the bath towels smelled great.
