Beautiful home with privacy. This home is cute as a button with the character and charm of early architectural design. Built during the railroad boom in Roanoke. Fire pit and hammock for relaxing. Next to a 75 acre park with bike trails, 30 miles of walking trails, BB courts,Playground and place for picnics. Brand new Queen bed and 2 twin beds.Great way to relax! Original Roanoke home with lots of character. Listen to the country yet 7 blocks into town. 35 miles to VT. Close to Rosies gambling casino, Berglund Center, and hiking trails. Great place for families, . Lots of Kids books/games/puzzles pac n play.hugh chair upon request.. Mountain Views, front porch with rocking chair, views of Mill Mountain and park. this Home is one of our personal homes and very well loved and we hope you will love it as well. Just FYI, we do have two outdoor video cameras for the safety and security of our guests. One is located at the front of the house and one is located at the back of the house.

i met the host and she was super friendly. everything was clean and set up nicely for us to stay and had a nice vibe going for us when we got there will be booking again.

A getaway with family and friends

We really enjoyed our stay at Missy's home. It was a great base for events in Roanoke and for hiking and biking in the area, with very easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway. A very quiet and peaceful environment in a lovely and comfortable home.

Beautiful natural setting

The location was excellent. House is open and spacious. We all enjoyed the house cats, chickens and other wildlife. Missy responds quickly to messages/questions. Would definitely stay again.

Best home/experience all over!

My family and I had a wonderful stay! We loved the sunrise out our window that filled the kitchen with so much Joy! The kids loved the huge playground across the quiet cul de sac street. Hubby and I enjoyed the walking trails right next to the home. I would highly recommend this Beautiful home to anyone traveling. Amazing and kind host! If I could give more than 5 Stars I would!!!!!

Quick overnight trip

Missy was nice and easy to communicate with but the house seemed like people currently lived in it. There were clothes in the closest and opened food in the refrigerator. It seemed clean but there was trash/take out containers under some of the furniture.

Wonderful family Thanksgiving getaway

We hosted our 2022 family Thanksgiving at this home, and we were so happy with our stay and the location! Missy (the host) made sure everything was perfect for our stay and we had excellent communication during our stay - she is super responsive. Beds were very comfortable, ample linens, kitchen supplies, and sitting room for our party. We loved sitting around the firepit in the backyard and the front porch to watch the sunsets. It was truly a wonderful country escape. Thanks for being a gracious host, Missy, and would highly recommend!

Nice Little House

This is a nice, little house. It says it has two queen beds and that one is a sofa sleeper, but we pulled the cushions off the couch and it was not. Thankfully, my sister is not picky and happily slept on the couch. It also said there was a game room, but there wasn't. There were games on the coffee table, which was nice, but it should not be listed as a game room. The hot tub was an inflatable one. I did not realize this when I booked it. It would not have fit all of us, and it had ants in it, which I am allergic to, so we did not get to test it out. Bummer. It was, however, clean, and that is my biggest concern when traveling. An added bonus was the two friendly cats on the property, which made our stay better. We all enjoyed petting them. Missy was very nice and extremely quick to respond to any text messages.

Such a perfect “stop for the night” location

My husband and 3 kids were traveling for a full family trip. To shorten our drive for the kids, we booked this place and missy had all details ready to go on check in day! The hot tub was perfect for my kids and the fire pit was perfect for my husband and I! Missy’s cozy house really allowed my family to wind down before the next long drive. Thank you very much for the fond memories my family made:)

Charming place

The outside of the house is quaint with lots of spaces to enjoy family time, from sitting on the front swing to a great screened in porch to eat or play games. Enjoyed the quick trip!

Beautiful Getaway!

We only wish we were able to stay longer than a weekend! The house is situated up small hill in the mountains - you're away from it all... but not... Roanoke is minutes away! If you're looking for hiking, breweries, wineries, peace, quiet, and relaxation: this is it! Missy is a fantastic hostess and ensured we had everything we needed throughout our stay!
