Salty Hippo Condo on New Smyrna Beach sleeps 6

Come and enjoy this beautiful 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo right on New Smyrna Beach. Our Salty Hippo Condo can sleep 6 adults all in beds with 2 double beds in the guest room and a queen bed in the master. The condo is on the 2nd floor so the view of the beach is fantastic. The living room has a comfy couch and a large flat screen TV.  The kitchen is equipped with all your appliances and dishware to prepare your own home cooked meals if you would like. It also has a large breakfast bar with plenty of seating to enjoy your meals. There are 2 full bathrooms one with a tub and shower combo and the other with a stand alone shower in the Salty Hippo. It also has a Wii for the kids to enjoy some family game time. The Salty Hippo  has a community outdoor pool and large kiddie pool to soak in after a long day in the sun. The private beautiful beach is just a short trip down a flight of steps and you have an all access pass to one of Florida`s best kept secrets, New Smyrna Beach. The beach is safe fdor kids as they do not allow cars on this beach at all. So sit back and relax on the beach at our lovely Salty Hippo Condo.

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving week in this beach condo. Found it to be very satisfactory in every way. Particularly liked having upstairs bedrooms. The location was perfect for our needs with restaurants and Publix nearby.

The condo was great. Other than when we got there the cleaners hadn’t come but the host was very responsive and got the cleaners out as soon as possible. And there was a little bit of a mildew smell.

Nascar Weekend

We came to Daytona for a Nascar race and found this perfect condo for our family. We decided to make it an extended weekend getaway and this was the best part! The condo was well stocked with Linen and dishes, was very clean, and had a great location! Will definitely come back here as we go to Nascar a couple times a year. Thanks for a great stay!

Electrical problems

Electrical problems not fixed until Wednesday. Great location, beautiful beach but no beach chairs. We loved the condo but will look for another rental within the same location.

Exceeded Expectations

The Salty Hippo was a well appointed and very clean, even duvets were washed between guests. We throughly enjoyed our stay and will be back. Do bring your own beach chairs. The complex/ pool area was also well maintained and very nice. Check in time is actually 4:00pm rather than 3:00pm, which was listed on VRBO.

Relaxing and easy to get around area

Very nice area. Everything from condo to pool was clean. Easy beach access. Lots of great restaurants in area. Great place for our grandchildren to enjoy.

Wonderful Stay

The condo was excellent, very comfortable furniture, good wifi, good TV selections, well-equipped kitchen, responsive owner. The location was on the quiet end of the gorgeous beach, perfect for us on this Spring Break week! Coin laundry on property was clean with ample machines. I would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyable two week stay

Salty Hippo is a great location. The property is right on the ocean with private beach access. It was wonderful to have Cape Canaveral National Seashore a few miles down the road with its beautiful nature and a short drive in the other direction for shops and restaurants. The place is clean, quiet, and comfortable. Absolutely perfect! We would stay here again.

Served our needs

We were in New Smyrna Beach celebrating Thanksgiving week with extended family who were also staying in NSB. This condo was quite adequate for housing part of our family. The only complaint I have is that the pool and beach access were closed while we were there due to extensive landscaping work being done. This was not disclosed at any point of the booking or check in process, we discovered this inconvenience after arrival. It was not a big problem for us since we had options with other family accommodations for both pool and beach access, but it should have been disclosed.

Easy and Comfortable Condo

Pros: This condo was as advertised - and very clean. It was so easy to get to the pool and the beach. It is ideal if you want to be right on the water. The manager was very responsive and pleasant. It was nice that it was two floors and had two showers. The entire condo was quiet and the neighbors were friendly. Cons: The back patio door would not lock, but we communicated this to the manager so we assume it will be fixed for anyone staying there in the future. You also can't really walk anywhere but the businesses are only a couple miles away so it isn't a huge issue. Overall, we had a great experience!

Great Trip!

This was our second year at the complex. Our stay lasted 10 days and we were with two other families at the complex. We really enjoyed the Salty Hippo Unit! The unit was clean and the check-in/out process was so easy. We loved the fact the beach was not crowded with people and it was easy to go to/from the ocean to pool. We would definitely stay here again on our future trips. Thanks for a great family vacation!
