We have stayed at Litchfield By The Sea in the Bridgewater building many times. This condo(BW 425) was bare bones minimum and could use a really good refresh. We stayed for 3 nights over Labor Day and the check in process was very easy. There was only one roll of toilet paper provided so we had to buy more. There were no tissues, no forks, and only two spoons in the condo. The murphy bed had no mattress or sheets so our son slept on the pull-out couch. There were no blankets for the main bed, just the sheet and the bedspread. The toilet seat could stand to be replaced as well. There was a cockroach on the wall when we arrived. The other furniture in the condo and on the balcony was fine, and of course the views are always great. We saw some negative reviews about this condo but we took a chance as it was the last one available. We will not return to this condo.

Left After 3 Days Due to Condition of Property

This unit needs serious disenfecting and updating. The smell of mold and mildew was actually affecting our breathing it was so bad. There was rust inside and out of the refrigerator. Mold on the walls above some of the baseboards. We went and bought moisture/odor absorbers, helped a little bit. As bad as the smell was in the rooms, it was horrendous when we opened the murphy bed. Our plan to have family in for a night was not possible. We paid for an entire week, and left after 3 days.

Overall the property was a very nice place and we enjoyed our stay. However, the elevator broke three different times during the week. Our condo had an unpleasant odor and the shower curtain was rather dirty. We will stay in Litchfield again but not at at this condo.

Needs updates

There are several areas that should be updated. The main bed’s headboard is musty and molded. The toilet is temperamental about filling. We had to remove the tank lid and address this daily. The refrigerator has several rust spots near the food prep area and has no working light. No curtains in the main bedroom made the room bright at all hours which made sleep difficult. Kitchen cabinets have a musty smell. The Bridgewater property itself is nice but this specific condo needs to be updated.

Almost there

Unit could use some upgrades to include new functional toilet, mold free shower curtain, new sofa. Refrigerator served the purpose although it didn't look like it belonged in a Bridgewater condo. Door needs sealing so you don't hear the wind howling all night. Didn't particularly care for the old school door keys.

Wonderful property

We had a great stay! And we’re very pleased with our condo! Although it could use some minor updates, like toilet wasn’t reliable flushing, and some water pressure issues, could use a new shower curtain (mildew spots) and head (pretty cheap), railing on balcony was loose and missing screws, refrigerator door didn’t seal great, and sofa mattress you could feel every coil. Also sheets werent great quality, and carpet probably needs replaced. A table with 4 chairs is needed, and a curtain for that bedroom window because the outside light make its feel like day all night lol. But Property itself did some great renovations from last year! And we’d definitely stay in the condo as is again because none of it was a deal breaker, but would prefer these suggestions to be considered and believe it would benefit the owner to invest in them for future stays. I was very happy with the updates they did appear to do though! And the place was clean! I have no complaints! So overall Great condo, and had a perfect relaxing stay!

Sparse Condo

The listing for this condo indicated it is somewhat sparse - very accurate! It is rather bare bones, but some may like that. It sure could use some hooks for towels and/or bathing suits. Or some shelving to place belongings. PLEASE fix the sliding door to balcony, it still has construction debris in the tracks and is very hard to move. We made it work though and enjoyed our stay. Great view!

Unit. Bridgewater

The unit was very clean and great for 2. Excellent view. A little dated and the carpet and couch needs to be replaced. The grounds were beautiful but I did have an issue with the lazy river. We have stayed at Bridgewater for several years because of the lazy river. There were not many tubes and there were kids in and playing and about knocked me over. Do not want to be mean but there is a pool right there where they could play. I hope this issue will be addressed because guests need to enjoy this part of the entire experience.
