Das Mueller Haus is located just minutes away from downtown. This 1940’s vintage cottage is typical of Fredericksburg’s homes built in that period. The overall décor is antique with contemporary pieces sprinkled about for comfort. The guesthouse features all hardwood floors and a big back yard. There are two large bedrooms - one bedroom has a queen-size bed and the other has a full-size bed. There is a full bath with tub and shower. The kitchen is spacious and has a stove, oven and large refrigerator. There is also a microwave, and coffee maker furnished for your use. An ideal retreat for a family, a group of friends, or a couple.

Valentines Weekend

When we got to the house; the key would not work. We called the # we were given & were told it was a text only #. We finally reached housekeeping & they came and opened the door and gave us their key. We never got the TV to work with the instructions that were left. Loved the house itself, but there were several inconveniences.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was cute, very much a 1940's cottage. It was very dusty and musty from the furniture and rugs needing a good airing out. The full size bed was not comfortable as it had a board with metal right under it. If those things could be changed, I would readily recommend this property.

Reviewer Comments: Having to go to the prop mgmt to pick up and return keys is very inconvenient. The furniture is very low to the ground and needs restuffing.The front door lock is taped!We had to get someone over to get the tv to work

Reminds me of grandparents house

The house was in a good location just a few blocks from Main Street. The neighborhood was older, but well kept. The house was small but cute, and has probably not been updated since it was built in the 50’s. The furnishings matched the house decor. It reminded me of my grandparents house growing up. The owners had everything well stocked, and even left pastries, juice, milk and cereal for breakfast. I would stay there again if it was only me and my wife. Anymore than that might be an issue with just 1 bathroom.

Adorably Vintage and Welcoming

My adult daughters and I had a great stay in Das Mueller Haus. We loved the decor. It was in a quiet neighborhood. Check in and check out was so simple and appreciated. We look forward to returning soon.

Great location

This is a cute grandma’s cottage. It was a bit older but clean. The location could not be better. It was an easy walk to down town. Check-in and check-out was easy.

It was conveniently located and easy to navigate the area. On the first night, while sitting outside. We were greeted by a cute kitty who lounged while we were sitting on the patio. It was comfortable and clean inside. They had plenty of space and great wall art to look at throughout the house. If you are looking for a comfortable place to rest and relax, Das Meuller Hais was perfect.

Great Place to stay. Close to everything. Had some issues with love bugs in the back bedroom. They were coming in through the window. Need to get an exterminator. Overall stay was nice.

Nice place to stay but had some issues

This is a nice little home but too many things show there age. First the good….. Great check in and people in the office. Super nice and helpful. Very responsive. The house was cleaned well and pretty well stocked. Some nice special touches like some fresh pastries, milk and juice and a nice set of China to use. Beds are comfortable, furniture is old, eclectic but serviceable. Now for the negatives. This place is old and has not been renovated as they claim. Chairs in the dining room are coming apart, the tub looks terrible. It is old and looks dirty. There are black marks on the tile in the grout and caulking, cobwebs galore between the windows so you really cannot enjoy the views if you want, the flooring in the kitchen and bath are close to 40 years old and show their age. The blinds are about the same age and are yellowed. They look dirty and that’s the first impression you get when you see them. Bedroom door very hard to open and bathroom door does not lock. There are other things but by now you get the idea. Basically was told the owner does not want to spend any money here and it shows. With a small investment this could be a great place especially with the management company running it. They really were very pleasant to deal with even when I expressed these issues. I am not a complainer and if I’m not mistaken this is the first time I’ve ever written any type of negative review. One of the main reasons I’m doing this is because in the description they use the word renovated. That is a falsehood. I hope is to make people aware of what this will really be like and have it advertised properly. Can not force anyone to do any repairs.
