Modern Garden Apartment with High-end Amenities on Jones by Lucky Savannah

The Metal Oak suite encapsulates the "Scandinavian Modern" style. This garden-level suite on Savannah's historic Jones Street -often cited as one of the most beautiful streets in the United States- has undergone a complete facelift. We have exposed the original 1862 brick walls in the living room, had a custom metal barn-door created in the kitchen entry way, re-worked the kitchen to raise the ceilings, open the walls and add luxury features, including high-end leathered granite countertops, brand new stainless steel appliances, a wine chiller and beverage cooler, and open black walnut shelves custom-made by Black Dog Salvage, as seen on DIY Channel's Salvage Dawgs. Additionally, we've added a game room for guest enjoyment that features a pleather of family fun board games, air hockey table, and much more.

The luxury features continue into the bathroom where you'll find an additional custom-made black walnut vanity from Black Dog Salvage, matte black fixtures and both subway and black and white geometric tile. Step into the shared courtyard, where there is an ample amount of seating for everyone. The courtyard is truly an oasis; featuring luxury Castelle furniture and a fire table for your enjoyment. This suite is one of the most exceptional you will find in Savannah- but it doesn't stop there. We've included luxury amenities throughout the suite, including:

- Wine Chiller
- 65" TV in the Living Room; 55" TV in the Bedroom
- Luxury Robes
- High-end ROAM Bath products, as well as complimentary ROAM shaving and dental kits
- Nespresso Coffee/ Espresso Machine
- Handicap Accessible - no stairs.

What is parking like for this home?
Parking for this home is on-street and metered, which is enforced by the City of Savannah from Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Guests may conveniently pay using the ParkSavannah app, feed the meter or parking kiosks directly, or park on a nearby non-metered street. Please take note of posted Sweep Zone signs when parking on the street.

Location was wonderful. Small quaint place perfect for 2 people. Everything was in walking distance. The only downside was the cleanliness, sheets were stained and dingy. Other than that, We will for sure be back in the area.Thank you

Our resent stay in Savannah

This is our seventh visit to Savannah and have stayed on Jones St five of them and realy enjoy the Jones street location. The accomodations are very nice and well equiped. This location is right accross the street from Mrs Wilkes Kitchen which is nice experience and close to Clary's if you read " In The Garden of Good and Evil " and we also enjoy Crystal Beer Parlor and Noble Fare

Perfect Spot in Savannah!

I absolutely adored staying at this apartment. Having a ground level stay was incredible and easy as can be. Just steps away from all the big sites you will want to see. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to do and never moved our car the entire trip. The apartment is exactly as pictured. Perfect for a couple or 2 people. The game room was an awesome addition and my husband and I used it every night for some extra fun. Very clean and like I said just as pictured. Being on the beautiful Jones street was highly worth it. So picturesque and exactly what we wanted. I highly recommend and would 100% stay here again!

Great location for a long weekend

The apartment was very clean and modern and in a great location for walking around historic Savannah! The kitchen was stocked with clean newer pots and pans and appliances which was appreciated since we did some cooking. Parking is metered but only M-F so for a weekend stay, it was easy to find free parking right out front of the apartment. The apartment is a garden unit so it only has 4 small windows. We knew that going in but found we missed natural light and kept the door open at times for light and fresh air. The unit also had a strong air freshener smell that was not ideal if you are sensitive to smells. But overall a great spot for a long weekend!

Not for tall people

This condo is fine, but not great or what we were expecting. This hole is really the basement, and many of the ceilings and doorways were very low. Any time the upstairs guests moved around, you could hear it very loudly through the old floorboards. The game room set this apart from other listings, but the Pac-Man game and the ski-ball game were both broken. There was a lizard in our bed, and centipedes all over the baseboards. We could not get any info on the bicycle locks to use them. A fine enough stay, there was a lot about this place that was fine. But the pictures were misleading.

Lucky Savannah was fantastic. Right after we checked in, I called to ask for help figuring out the large smart tvs. They sent someone right over! The Olympic Games were about to begin so this was important. I highly recommend the company and this unit.

Great Stay at Metal Oak

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay (5/4-5/9) at Metal Oak, a quiet location with ample metered parking. Forsyth Park and the river all within walking distance. This garden level rental offers private entry via the front door on Jones or the rear gate into the courtyard. We found it easier to unload/load our bags using the courtyard entry. The roomy bedroom, located in the rear, was well appointed with large dresser, end tables with lamps, comfy king bed, and large flat screen TV. A closet with sliding glass doors houses the washer and dryer, and offers space to hang clothes. A short hallway leads to the bathroom; while modest in size, a glass enclosed walk-in shower was roomy with plenty of hot water and good pressure. Further down the hall, a well-lit kitchen with large round dining table was perfect for preparing meals and enjoying breakfast/dinner. A Brita water jug, ice maker, and wine cooler ensured cold beverages. The kitchen was clean but would benefit by the addition of cooking supplies and pantry staples. Beyond the kitchen was the large living room with another large flat screen TV and comfy leather sofa with front door leading to Jones St.The courtyard was small, uncovered but adequate. It’s enclosed on all sides and we found it somewhat hot and stuffy. Luckily we found a box fan in the rental so we used our emergency travel extension cord to give us some air flow. There is a terrace deck for the above rental, which when in use detracts from the semi-private spaces for both rentals. The small space and furniture do get littered with leaves from surrounding foliage.As others have commented the wifi was sketchy. The rental was supposed to have cable but that technology eluded us and it was difficult to figure out the TVs. We've learned to travel with our Firestick so all was not lost. We did have to call the main office to request some listed but missing items; but as always Lucky Savannah was very responsi

Lovely property and awesome location

This property has everything a couple visiting Savannah could want. Open style kitchen/living area, back yard to hang out, etc. Everything is modern and updated and the location can't be beat. We were visiting my daughter who is a student at SCAD and the game room was great addition to the happy hour that we hosted for her and her friends. The only issue with the house is that the wifi was not very strong and we had to restart it a few times but that didn't bother us much but if you needed to rely on it for a business meeting or work, it may be an issue.

Awesome place, Awesome Location, Perfect Stay

Could have not asked for a better place to stay. Location was great, walking distance to everything. Very clean. Very Very Quiet area. Would highly recommend to any couple. One small item that needs to be addressed; the game room is great but two of the three electronic games were not working. Called management company and they stated that they would report but no resolution while there. The game room was one of the reasons for choosing this apartment. Still an awesome place even without the working games. Highly recommend.

Perfect!

Location, cleanliness, high end, quality, safety, convenience, fun, beautiful, and comfortable are just a few adjectives I could say about the Metal Oak. Our family truly enjoyed our time here, cooking and playing games together and the tv was PERFECT to watch LSU in the World Series. Thank y’all for such a pleasant stay!!!

Only a few issues....

We've stayed here multiple times. This time, we felt the bathroom was not as clean. Both the bathroom grout and the shower needed scrubbing. There also remains a few planks in the kitchen that need replacing. Lastly, we thought there was quite a musty smell upon entering the apartment.

Beautiful Metal Oaks

Wonderful unit (Metal Oaks), everything was modern, worked & in good condition which is important! Please let me know about the lamp in the living area! ❤️ The only negative the unit did not have add’l cooking supplies & condiments (oil, salt&pepper etc) and having to call to get door code. It would have been nice to have received our “door code” through email or text the day of checkin. I would advise calling that day of checkin before 5:00 to get your code. We were encouraged to use the hospitality app which is generic used for all their properties. We had groceries so time was important in being able to get into our place. I had a great time in Savannah, Jones St. was centered around most of the sights downtown most everything in walking distance. We bought a 48 hour parking pass which helped in not having to check the meter & there is street sweeping so you will need to be mindful of what day/time. I would suggest the $20/day regular trolly which can be used throughout the day getting on/off for sightseeing for the day. We saw more of the regular trolly than dot, old Savannah trolly and a pedal taxi bike for transportation. Also, make restaurant reservations before arriving. Wish we had more time than 2 days unable to see & experience everything, great area with a lot of history. Thank you. ❤️

A lovely place!

My husband and I stayed for a week, and it was excellent. We had some issue getting in initially as 3 different codes were provided, but none seemed to have worked. However, the staff are incredibly helpful and had it resolved in minutes. It was very neat and tidy, and we greatly enjoyed our stay!
