Wilkes Pied-a-terre comparte su nombre y edificio con nuestra propiedad original de Wilkes House, y es un apartamento en el segundo piso ubicado sobre la famosa Sra. Comedor Wilkes. Te despertarás cada mañana en la hermosa calle Jones, donde los adoquines y los antiguos robles que gotean en el musgo español obligaron a la revista Southern Living a nombrarla la "calle más bonita de Estados Unidos".

Rica en detalles arquitectónicos, esta casa cuenta con pisos de madera noble originales, chimeneas de mármol y techos de 12 ’complementados con muebles majestuosos. Disfrute de una vista de Jones Street desde la comodidad de su sala de estar, donde un televisor de pantalla plana se encuentra discretamente escondido en el armario. El comedor conectado tiene mucha luz y hermosos muebles antiguos. La cocina recientemente renovada está totalmente equipada con todo lo que necesita para una escapada de fin de semana o una estadía prolongada, que incluye una lavadora y secadora.

Great Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The huge positives: one of the largest and most beautifully furnished vacation rentals ever and at an excellent price compared to other downtown Savannah accommodations, great location and street parking is easy except that the Park Savannah app only works on old Android phones and you have to go to the website and renew every two hours on weekdays during the day. The minor negatives: cheapest toilet paper ever, hardest bed ever, and there was some confusion because the front building entrance was closed due to construction and we had to use the back door. That led to ten minutes on the phone and three tries to get the correct lockbox code for the key.

The apartment was perfect! It was like stepping back into time with all the antiques. I felt as if I had visited somewhere a President had stayed. The location was perfect for walking to see all there is to do in downtown Savannah.

From the front door to the back door, everything was excellent. The added bonus of getting a free lunch at Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room was a pleasant surprise. We've already told our friends about this place and highly recommend it.

The Wilkes House

We were in the unit on the first floor, (not the ground floor which houses the restaurant ). It was huge and furnished to look like the 1800s, but with all the modern conveniences in the bathroom and kitchen. It was clean, well stocked, and the bed was comfortable. We felt as though we were staying in the lap of luxury. The only downside is that they used strongly scented detergent to wash the sheets which then not only affects the sheets and pillowcases, but also the pillow since the pillowcase encloses it. They must have used a deodorizer in the living room as well because the sofa and chairs had a fragrance. It was very strong. Luckily there were some extra pillows and pillow cases in the closet, and the fragrance had mostly worn off. I didn't sit in the living room because of the fragrance, and we spent our time in the bedroom and the dining room, but mostly we weren't in the apartment that much because there is so much to see and do in Savannah. The included lunch for one day at Mrs. Wilke's was wonderful. The fried Chicken was fabulous. There were about 15 or more different dishes on the table served family style. It was like Thanksgiving dinner. I hope that they see this and change to unscented products like Tide free or All free. Other than the perfume smell from the laundry detergent, we had a wonderful stay.

You are away from the crowds of the tourists, but close enough to walk or grab a quick Uber to the tourist spots.The pictures of the rental do not do it justice. It is even more beautiful in real life. Having a dining room table, and a full kitchen was nice, even if I only used it to heat up leftovers.And the free lunch at Mrs. Wilkes is an added bonus. You will love the food, and if Mrs. Wilkes is there, she is very nice, and signed the cookbook I bought.

Absolutely stunning place, in the perfect location, and wonderful attention from the property management company that helps run it.My person and I loved every inch of the place. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed, but now we have an excuse to come stay here again. Really appreciated the friendly and kind communication with the property management team. Had several questions and they were just wonderful. Stay here!

Above the restaurant

Beautifully appointed era-matched furnishings. The area is wonderful for walking to many other restaurants and shops. Close to the beautiful squares. Should note that long lines form around 10:30 weekday mornings to get a seat at Mrs. Wilkes dining Room, so if you want a quiet late breakfast on the front patio, be prepared to have many folks as guests!!

Perfect location, and historic vibe.

Loved our stay at Wilkes’ House. Easy to walk around town and see everything. Home was comfy and super clean - and kept the old charm, which is what drew us there to begin with. Would stay again.

And Elegant Place from the Past

Loved the high ceilings, curving walls, furnishings, furniture, layout, and more. The location was great, with Mrs. Wilke's Dining Room right downstairs. They had excellent food and plenty of it. Despite the age of the place, it smelled fine and was plenty warm despite it being cold and rainy outside. Beautiful place inside and out.

We felt completely at home and loved the location on beautiful Jones Street, a few steps away from the DOT free trolly. Of course, being above the Wilkes House restaurant was a plus! Lunch for two is included in a three night stay, which provided wonderful family style meal. We will be back soon, as there is so much to see and do in Savannah. We felt like we took a step back time exploring this beautiful southern town.
