Enjoy one of the Southeast's most beautiful beaches just steps from your door! Our 7th floor unit at Pelican Beach Resort offers some of the most spectacular views on the Emerald Coast!
Our guests enjoy a choice of three pools, a spa, fitness center, conference center, pool/beach bar, deli, tennis courts, covered garage parking, game center and much more!

Beach Policies:
*NOTE - CALL AHEAD TO RESERVE! THE SOONER YOU RESERVE THE MORE LIKELY YOU WILL GET FRONT ROW*

• All beach services are managed by La Dolce Vita under agreement with the Pelican Beach Resort Owners' Association. Policies are applicable to all guests and owners of the resort. Beach set-ups may be rented directly on the beach the day of, based on availability. To reserve a beach setup in advance or for more information, please call or reserve.

• Due to changing tides and weather conditions, beach setup placement may vary without notice.

• The use of personal beach equipment (including chairs, umbrellas, etc.) is allowed, but they cannot be placed in front of beach service setups. Personal beach equipment may be placed in back of setups and may not be left overnight.

• There is a 20' public access easement from the high water line along the entire coastline to allow visitors to walk freely and enjoy the Destin shoreline. We refrain from any chair setups in this area to allow all of our guests plenty of unobstructed access to the water.

Great stay fantastic view.

Highly recommend this property. Beach is great food and attractions within walking distance if you mind a few blocks. Owners respond quick and are very helpful.

Wonderful stay

Second time staying at the Pelican. We love the resort. This condo was very nice for the price. Mostly updated. They provided beach chairs which was nice. The bedroom balcony door needs fixed and the garbage disposal gets stuck. Kitchen supplies were not clean but didn’t cook much. Would stay again.

Amazing!!

This was such an amazing condo!! It was gorgeous with an amazing view of the gulf. We had a blast on vacation. The property was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the pools and beach daily. I would definitely recommend this property and resort!!

Great property! Expensive beach rental service!

Property was amazing and just as described. Check in was easy. The only thing I would suggest is stating in the description how expensive the beach chair/umbrella rentals are and how you need to book those early to get on the front row.

Relaxing

This property is amazing! Enjoy the beach front balcony along with access from the bedroom. Recently updated but owner should consider new bedroom sheets and a shower lining for the master. Bed sheets old with fuzzy balls, the bedspread had makeup and the shower lining dirty soap scum. My husband and had to share the kids shower.. but overall nice place! We will visit again!

Beach Chairs were not allowed

We were warned about having chairs near the water. This is the first place we have stayed that didn’t allow personal beach chairs near the water.

Guests that choose not to rent beach service are reqired to set-up behind La Dolce Vita's paid set-ups. We recommend that guests reserve their beach chairs and umbrellas early through La Dolce Vita Destin. The earlier you reserve allows guests better chances to receive a front row set-up.

On the beach?

The facility was nice but the aggravation of waiting on elevators and the super strict (rent beach chairs from us or else) policy ruined the freedom of enjoying the beach. We were forced to stay in a crowded area when the adjacent areas were wide open. I was expecting a property where I could walk right out onto the beach. Major disappointment

We are sorry that you were not satisfied with the beach situation. We recommend that guests reserve their beach chairs and umbrellas early through La Dolce Vita Destin. The earlier you reserve allows guests better chances to receive a front row set-up. Guests that choose not to rent beach service are reqired to set-up behind La Dolce Vita's paid set-ups. Pelican Beach Resort has over 340 units so typically there is a bit of a wait for elevators during busy season.

Great family condo

We booked this condo for a week long stay. The condo was comfortable and had everything we needed. Plenty of space for all 5 of us. My only complaint is the outdoor patio furniture. We love to sit on the balcony and look over the ocean. The chairs were terribly uncomfortable and some were falling apart. The balcony would greatly improve if it had better seating options. This was our first time at the Pelican, it has it all! Tiki bar, breakfast and lunch cafe, 3 great sized pools and of course you can’t beat the beach access. One thing we were unaware of was the beach service regulations there. If you do not opt for the chair and umbrella service, you have to sit behind 5 rows of the La Dolce Vita chairs and umbrellas, essentially giving you zero view of the Gulf. You are not allowed to sit in front of the rows, even just putting a towel down to sit next to your young children while they play in the edge/sand is prohibited and the security will quickly tell you so. I wish that were different as it’s pricey to stay directly on the beach and you don’t get to enjoy watching the waves from a chair unless you pay for the beach service and get lucky with a front row spot as they do not stagger the setup either. All in all, great unit, amenities and hosts!

Nice & Clean

The condo was very clean, well stocked just as pictured. It was nice having the extra chairs, boogie boards & floats. We didn't cook but the kitchen seemed to have what you would need other than I suggest some containers with lids, we needed something for watermelon and cantaloupe once we cut it It was nice the few extra things that was provided like plastic wrap, foil and coffee filters. If I had any complaints at all it would be I feel the furniture could use a good shampooing, we would get a whiff of BO Every now and then, not major but just a suggestion. Also the same thing with the balcony furniture, it needs cleaning as we would smell the same thing. The other thing which isn’t the owners fault is there isn’t enough luggage carts. When everyone is checking in at the same time we had to wait a while for one. That was the other thing, after driving 14 hrs, I asked if we could check in 30 minutes early and I didn’t receive a response until the following day which I was told they do not allow early check ins during busy season and it was just 30 min 😳We were able to stay an additional night which we greatly appreciated. Security is very strict not allowing you to have a drink near the pool and although we aren’t smokers, the whole resort including the beach is non smoking/vaping of any kind so be mindful even if you vape. The resorts itself is very clean and well maintained, the tiki bar & cafe was great.overall fantastic week, thank you for sharing your home :)
