The Shack at Sugar Creek

Charming House on Desirable Lake Oconee. This home sits at the end of a private cove just off deep water 1/2 mile from the Sugar Creek public boat ramp and Marina. Home has small wharf dock perfect for pontoons, small boats, kayaks and paddle boards. Canoe, double kayak and single kayak available for guest use. This home was completely remodeled in 2018. It has 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths and almost 1900 sq ft. Home has a large, screened porch with a tin roof facing the lake sitting on a 1.2 acre quiet tree filled lot. “The Shack at Sugar Creek” is the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the every day grind.
Downstairs master has king bed, upstairs master and 2 other bedrooms have Queen beds.
To ensure home and guest security, we have 2 outdoor security cameras on a tree in the backyard which has coverage of the door entering the property and yard down to the lake.

My grand daughter loved the dock and the wide open space to play outside. We celebrated my daughter’s 30th birthday and your place worked out great for everyone. We brought our fishing boat the dock was great! We loved it!!

Perfect location on lake!

Perfect property for quick get away. Boat ramp (literally) 2 blocks away! Shallow water but perfect for pontoons and jet skis. The walk to the dock is effortless; not a steep leg burn :)

Life on the Lake

We enjoyed our stay at the Lakehouse. Accommodations were clean and comfortable with nice finishing touches. The screened back porch was a cool hangout spot. We would definitely stay here again.

Disappointed in condition of property. Property needs serious cleaning outside. The Inside is surface clean and nicely decorated. However, needs major TLC . Foundation cracks in walls. Stained bath/ kitchen towels, spiders in bathroom, urine stained toilet seats. Submitted concerns to host and he did respond to broken door lock. He did provided us with hidden key to another door. Yet to hear from host concerning other issues.

Sugar Shack delivers!

All of the amenities and the cooking essentials to include a multitude of spices and other items that are not normally found. The lake was pristine and the dock was perfect for using a rented pontoon boat. We loved our time on the porch as well as meals at the beautiful dining room table. This is a wonderful place at a wonderful location.

Perfect Retreat

We really enjoyed our stay. We kept commenting on how at home we felt and the house was well stocked for all our cooking and relaxing needs. We loved that we each had our own rooms and bathrooms. The screen porch and dock were the perfect addition and were used daily. The hosts answered any questions we had promptly. Would 100% book again for our next trip!

Amazing and Cozy Lakehouse

Friends and I were heading to the Masters and found this gem in between Atlanta and Augusta. It was in between both cities and a great location for us so we are not sitting in the car for hours. The bedrooms were spacious and had everything we needed. Bathrooms were clean and towels were fresh. Kitchen was large enough to hang out and have a few drinks as well as the family room. The screened porch was perfect for an evening sitting outside. Hosts were so great and very responsive. Everything was just easy and perfect. Will stay here again!

We rented this property for my daughter and her bridesmaids to stay in for her wedding weekend. Wish we could have used the lake aspect of the home more but it was a busy weekend and they were there a very short time. The home was clean and beds were comfortable.

Really enjoyed how nice the house was, used the grill, made smores at the fire pit, upon arrival it looked like it had been a while since anyone had stayed there, overall very happy with the house, the price was great, would definitely rent again

Comfortable, cozy, and perfect lake retreat

The Shack at Sugar Creek is one of the most comfortable and cozy places that we have stayed in our travels. We loved it! By "cozy," I mean that there are so many comfortable and relaxing places to be in this lake home...and the owners extend their hospitality to you through having everything that you may need right where it should be...there's a side table by the sofa with something good to read, a lamp, a coaster for your drink, and a candle (used when we lost power during a thunderstorm). We enjoyed our evening by candlelight. We didn't have to worry about needing something that wasn't provided--it was all there. Great towels, blankets, pillows available right where you need them. Many places to curl up to read a book, take a nap, have a cup of coffee, etc. The screened-in porch is one of the best features--just perfect. The rain hitting the tin roof was just the best! Kitchen was fully equipped and made cooking-in a real pleasure. We enjoyed lots of great meals, laughter, family time, and of course, much entertainment on the lake. We towed our boat, had a great place to store the trailer and tied up to their dock. Perfect for the daily boat trips. Jason and Stacee have created a really quaint and wonderful place to kick back and enjoy time at the lake. We will surely return. Thank you.
