The whole experience of staying at Rumbling Bald at Lake Lure was great. A couple of things in the unit were old and broken but didn't effect our stay. Every was listed correctly and we had a good time.

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay. The accommodations were more than we expected. Everything was clean and anything we could need was supplied. The only complaint we had was that we had no television except for the first night and internet was spotty. I will say that storms rolled through every evening which may have contributed to the tv and wifi problem. We would definitely stay here again.

I don’t want to write a negative review, and I tried to tell the host about the issues and she somewhat blew us off and said she will resolve the issue for the next people. The front screen door was broke, the back screen door was off leaning on window, the bathroom sink did not drain, the floors were dirty and cobwebs on the light fixtures, it smelled horrible like mildew, musty, smell, the cable kept going out and we had to keep resetting the TV, the upstairs unit you could hear everything, which isn’t the hosts fault, but loud. I booked there because it said we were only 14 miles from our wedding venue that we were attending and it was more than an hour to get there so I’m not sure where the 14 miles came from. We tried to find a new spot, but everything was booked so we were kind of stuck there and made the best of it.

This property was perfect for a nice getaway. The surrounding area is breathtaking. The pool area was amazing. My three year old had so much fun.

Perfect location to take advantage of multiple entertainment opportunities. Perfect size for us. Many recreational opportunities with the property. Will I’ll stay again

Great stay

Overall the place was clean . The bathroom window latch was broken and wouldn't lock. It was nice that we had access to the indoor pool at Rumbling Bald resort because it rained almost all weekend, other than that we had a great stay.

It was a great getaway! Place was as shown on the pictures and good for 2 people. The walls and the connecting door (we guessed that’s what it was) were too thin and we could hear the other villa’s tv. Overall it was good!

Perfect location!

Casey is super responsive and the listing is 100% accurate. The studio was perfect as it has everything you could need and is comfortable in space. Super clean. Location is a 4 min drive to the Rumbling Bald resort and having a pass to enjoy the resort was amazing. The studio is pet friendly and the restaurants with seating outside are as well which made it even better for us to have a true family stay!

Lake Lure vacation

Place was very nice. Most important we had was heating. Was so cold during our stay. We were comfortable. Also, was quiet. Bed was also very comfortable and we felt safe. Host was very quick to response every time we text her. We had a wonderful time in this property. Highly recommended.

Perfect stay!

Perfect studio mountain/lake villa for myself and 2 sons! We were close to both chimney rock and lake lure! My kids loved mini golf and basketball at the clubhouse! The twinkle lights on the balcony at night was my favorite way to wind down the action packed day! Casey was great with sending any info i needed for the rental and answered all of my touristy questions! Will definitely book again!

Cozy Studio perfect for 2!

The studio apt is cozy, clean and has everything you need! It's a short drive to Rumbling Bald resort and has free passes to use their facilities! There is also a convenience store a 5 minute walk away. The studio also has a sleeper sofa where 2 small children would be comfortable! Definitely recommend!

We stay here because my daughter live less than 10 mins away. Overall our 4 night stay was fine. Housekeeping really needs to come and freshen up the studio before guest arrive- the ceiling fan had not been dusted for several weeks and the patio had fine paint particles all over the furniture from carpenter ants. I dropped my reading glasses under the bed, which had not been cleaned under for quite sometime. It would have been nice if the AC could have been turn on before we arrive- it took the ac unit several hours along with the ceiling fan to cool the room. The kitchen had a decent stock of dishes/silverware/glasses etc. No toaster but there is a toaster oven which we did not use.. Thank goodness I bought extra paper towels- no dish cloths provided to wash dishes and only 1 dish towel and there was no stopper in sink. Bed pillows were hard and flat and mattress was so-so. Watch your shins and ankles, the bed frame corners stick out. Bring your own hangers they only had 5; plus they need to fix the dresser drawer. There were several lamps and wall sconces but the lighting in the room was dark unless you open the patio curtains which faces the road. Lighting over the vanity is awful, especially if you like doing daily make-up. The water in the shower is not hot, but very warm. I'm thankful my husband is somewhat a handy man, our bolt lock got stuck from the inside and he used a knife to remove the screws to lock so we could get out. The unit just needs some TLC.

Cozy Villa Vacation

I wanted to take a solo trip for the first time in my 27 years on this earth, and I wanted to stay near Asheville. I chose Lake Lure because of its proximity, but also because I wanted to be in the woods so I could have a nice and relaxing escape. I couldn't have picked the more perfect spot with this listing! The bed is big and comfy with plenty of pillows, the heater in the bathroom was perfect for showering in the colder months, and the TV was plentiful with options for when I was tucked in for the night. There wasn't much traffic on the road outside the villa, but the traffic that was there was hardly noticeable. I woke up to see the sunrise one morning and sat on the back porch with a cup of tea (complimentary in the kitchenette!) And watched the sunrise and heard the birds chirping. If you're looking for a serene get away, definitely book here! The host was in constant communication, and the check out instructions were easy to complete. I would definitely stay here again.
