Aspectos positivos: Limpieza, llegada, comunicación y ubicación
Beautiful location/plenty of amenities but had an issue with the undisclosed surveillance.
We would have rated this higher had it not been for the undisclosed video surveillance. At least 3 cameras outside-which are allowed if properly disclosed. But most bothersome is the indoor camera in the Lakehouse (just one-as far as we could find).
When we contacted the host about the camera concerns we were told that 1) she didn’t feel the need to notify us since she received an alert that we unplugged it-thus we “already knew about it”, 2) the indoor camera was there since there were contractors & cleaning crew & she wanted to know who came in when she couldn’t be there. However the outdoor camera on that side of the Lakehouse would show that door, 3) when a member of our group reached out & even sent her a link to the VRBO rules, which included exactly how to disclose the outdoor cameras (one example is right in the VRBO listing itself-and it’s not optional, it’s required) the host said that she’d been renting for 3 years and she didn’t know of the rules and that no one ever complained. And again, any indoor cameras are NOT allowed when you have paying guests.
When you take on the responsibility of renting you have a responsibility & an obligation to know & properly apply the law.
The only reason we didn’t rate this property lower is we all had such a great time and the property was absolutely beautiful. Our guests ranged from ages 15-81 but every one of them felt a bit creeped out to feel like someone was watching their every move-or could have been.
