Hideaway Cottage - Renovated Private Retreat, just steps to the beach!

Welcome to Hideaway Cottage - an adorably renovated beach bungalow just steps from the beach! This lovely cottage has been lovingly restored to include SubZero and JennAir appliances in a modern take on a 1950's beach cottage. Tucked away out of site and well off the street, Hideaway Cottage is nestled at the back of a large private yard. A mere 380' (5 houses) away from having your toes in the sand, you can see the beautiful beach and Gulf of Mexico from the street out front.

The cottage features a screened in front porch with a small table and chairs to enjoy your breakfast while taking in the beautiful landscaping, or snuggle up with a book on the porch swing. Inside the cottage you will find a living room with seating for four and a wall mounted TV. The kitchen offers a SubZero refrigerator and freezer, a JennAir cooktop and microwave, as well as a dishwasher. At the back of the cottage, you will find the bedroom and bathroom. The spacious bedroom offers a plush queen size bed, two bright and stylish chests to put away all of your clothes, and a desk - perfect for working remotely. The bathroom features Toto fixtures and a walk in shower.

Just outside the rear door lies the wooden patio. Rinse off after your beach time in the outdoor shower and then relax in the rocking chairs will you dry off in the sun. The outdoor dining table seats 4, with an umbrella to provide shade during the summer season. A charcoal grill is perfect for grilling up your favorite meal after a long day on the beach.

After the sun sets, fire up the fire pit and relax under a star filled sky. We provide complimentary firewood, and the fire pit is always a favorite feature of our guests!

*There is another cottage at the front of the property on the street. This cottage is not rented, and is only used by the homeowner a handful of times during the year. The entire yard and rear cottage are exclusively yours to use throughout your stay!

Within walking distance are Thomas' Donuts (2 blocks away) and the Carousel Market (6 blocks away). You can go to Thomas' Donuts for breakfast and lunch or their freshly baked donuts and coffee every day, or the Carousel Market for your groceries, great beer and extensive wine collection, and eclectic gift choices.
Within 2 miles are the local post office, Winn Dixie grocery, the Sandpiper Restaurant and Boar's Head Restaurant, and Buddy's Seafood - the cleanest fish market you will ever find! Buy your fish there and broil it at home, or have them steam your shrimp to your preference right there and eat it on the beach!
The beach and the beautiful Gulf of Mexico are only 5 houses away and NO high rise condominiums to block your view! You can see the beach from the street! Plenty of options for activities including deep sea, lake and bay fishing, surf casting, boating, kayaking, water skiing, jet skiing, and visiting Gulf World the zoo. Lots of wonderful clubs in the area!

Larger vicinity....: Further afield are Pier Park, with its 16 movie theaters, wide assortment of restaurants including Jimmy Buffet's 'Margaritaville' and extensive shopping venues. The City Pier is also located here if you wish to fish. Frank Brown Park is located across from Pier Park. Target and Walmart are located in Pier Park. Nearby also are both Holiday Isle Golf Club and the Hombre Golf Course. Holiday Isle offers a night time driving range for your use if desired. The villages of Seaside and Rosemary Beach are nearby on County Road 30-A.

The shops at Sandestin are about 28 miles away to the west. Destin is 35 miles west. Antique stores everywhere! The Marina Civic Center in Panama City hosts a variety of performers and acts which you can access on the web. Laguna Beach is located in Bay County, west of Highway 79.
