Good value for the location

Very clean property. But the furniture could use an upgrade. The sofa was very small and there was no place comfy to sit. Nice pool area and close to the beach. Lots of conveniences.

Wonderful Stay!

We totally enjoyed our time here and would come back. The staff here was amazing! So warm and attentive. They really made the stay so nice. Also the apartment was perfect, we cooked in the kitchen and had all we needed. Nice having a laundry too. Only 5 minute walk to the best private beach with soft clean sand. Excellent location close to the grocery store and very good CVS store. Loved watching sunsets and walking to the state park. We didn’t want to leave!

Centrally Located

The complex that the Condo is in is older but they do a good job of keeping it clean. The room is average, however we only stayed there at night, cooked dinner, sleep, wake up and go. We were there for a tennis tournament and it was perfect for us. No frills, however much more convenient and cost effective than staying in a hotel. The management and cleaning crews are extremely nice and responsive. We ended up having to purchase hand soap, paper towels as there were none, but that was pretty minor as we had to shop for food/drinks any way. Added bonus, the have free and private access to the beach which is very nice, very beautiful and clean. Overall, a very good experience. I left it at 4 Stars as we went to the Ritz Carlton for dinner one night so it was hard to give 5 Stars in comparison.

PASS ON THE CORAL REEF CONDOS

This property was mischaracterized on reviews and in photos. The property was very sparse. We were given 2 bath towels - no hand towels or wash cloths or soap. Two of 3 hair dryers were not functional. It was very noisy at night and early morning. Dogs barked next door even though it said no pets allowed. The elevator was broken so we had to lug our heavy suitcases up the stairs. One of us was locked in our room as the door knob wouldn’t work. The sliding glass doors didn’t lock & we were on the 2nd floor. The location is great but we cannot recommend this property to anyone. There were dishes/pots in the kitchen but nothing else. No paper towels, no salt/pepper, etc. It was too expensive for the lack of amenities. Choose somewhere else!

DONT STAY HERE

Location was the only thing going for this property. The room looked nothing like the photos. There weren’t as many amenities as promised, most were broken. Microwave broken and washing/dryer was broken, dishwasher was broken and coming out of the wall (washer and dryer was located next to the lobby not in the room and required money to use…but wasn’t functioning). The whole condo was filthy…human hair and clogged shower drains. The condo had an awful smell as well as stains and hair on the beds. Not to mention the couch in the living room was a futon with stains all over it. Trying to communicate with staff was a nightmare, never responded to us. No napkins, no paper towel, only three rolls of toilet paper for our whole stay. Extremely limited utensils (couldn’t even cut our fruit without the only knife breaking). The place left us 3 towels for the whole week…had to constantly go ask for more. Hand towels weren’t there nor were they ever offered. They closed their pool because it did not meet FDA standards AND disclosed that their kitchen utensils did not meet FDA expectations for cleaning AFTER we checked in our room. i don’t know what kind of scam this was but it was truly the worst experience with VRBO. Do not stay here, VRBO should disclose all of this information before charging an arm and a leg to stay somewhere. Trying to get a fix was impossible and I’m infuriated that we have not yet been talked to or compensated. Extremely unprofessional and non communicative.

Not a place to relax and recharge

Unfortunately this rental was not as advertised. We knew we would not get the exact unit shown but this place been neglected. We were taken aback by the stark furnishings. The futon was stained and low/uncomfortable. It looked as though it would be something picked up by the roadside. We covered it with a sheet we found Although the place was clean (kudos to the cleaning staff) the cement walls painted white made us feel like we were in a prison cell block.(not relaxing at all). Two other chairs in lv were bamboo with no cushions. The two deck chairs looked more comfortable as plastic rattan but were unraveling). (The slider from the queen bedroom didn’t lock. The bedrooms had no dresser so nowhere to put suitcase and clothes except on the floor. The one nightstand in each bedroom had lamps on them that were wobbly looked like they had come from a yard sale.I called the manager and asked if we could be moved she said she didn’t have anything available but maybe in am. Never contacted us in the am. The internet and tv was spotty..kept going in and out the first 2 days. we ran the shower/tub the water backed up and wouldnt drain. We were given 2 bath towels per bathroom but no hand towels or wash cloths. When asked we were told they don’t have any.. if there were any openings at the Ritz next door we would have left. So disappointed. We book through VRBO to be protected from this type of thing. They did not do anything for us

Clean, Quiet, and Priced Well

We had a great time in our 2 bedroom apartment. My husband, 8 yo, 2 yo, and. myself stayed for a week, and it was truly serene. The place was clean, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed except the microwave. We had a toaster oven, though, and that sufficed. There is one small TV in the living room of the unit, and there aren't any in the bedrooms. This didn't bother us, because we were there to be beach bums and sight-see, but it's something to note if you like to watch TV. The only complaint I have is there are no bathroom or ceiling fans, so we went out to Walmart to buy a fan for me to sleep. I have to have that humming noise to sleep, but that's just a personal preference, and I wouldn't fault the property for that. Check in and check out were are BREEZE. The man who checked us in was very nice, and the process took all of 5 minutes. Checking out was a little stressful for us, because in the online correspondence it said 11am, but the morning of we read the papers given to us, and it indicated 10am. However, the process was easy - all we had to do was text a number and leave the keys, and the cleaning ladies were on their way. And man are they serious! But I appreciated that they were so gung-ho about their jobs, and the cleanliness of the place. The location was amazing. The apartment is right in between the beach and the places to eat along with grocery and pharmacy, so you can walk everywhere you need to within 10 minutes. The beach was beautiful and relaxing. Beware of the locals: Most of the people that live in Key Biscayne are extremely rude, and they don't speak English. We didn't find a single English speaking employee at the Winn Dixie the entire 7 day trip. Many of the locals gave us mean looks. The apartment we stayed out was the exception - everyone was very nice to us. For the price I was honestly expecting the place to be very sub-par or dirty. We booked our vacation late this year, so our options were very limited. To our surprise We got a heck of a deal, and had a wonderful time. We will come back here, and we recommend it to anyone wanting a nice chill family getaway!
