Great place and location!

We loved the property and the cute beach decor in the condo. We were pleased with the cleanliness and how well equipped the condo was. Looking forward to returning.

Family stay at OOB

The property is very nice, clean and comfortable. You cannot beat the proximity to the beach - we loved being able to head back for lunch and a sun break. The pier and restaurants are walkable, but your far enough that its not crazy busy. As others have noted, the train is close by - but it didn't bother us or our kids. Communication with the 'host' company was great. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Location!

We stayed in a great little two-bedroom apartment which was large enough for our family of 5. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, and having a washer and dryer inside of the apartment was a HUGE bonus. Location is great as it is only one block from the beach entrance, and it is a short walk to the pier. I was happy to not be so close to the pier that we could hear the noise and traffic all night. The train behind us didn't bother us at all. We will definitely consider this spot the next time we visit Old Orchard!

Nice place

We enjoyed our stay. The apartment was small but clean. Close to the beach and a small store around the corner that serves food and groceries. The only downside is access to the building. It was very frustrating getting in and out. The lockbox at the front door, accessing the key and bringing things in and put was incredibly frustrating.

First time family vacation to Maine

Overall it was a pleasant stay. The property is very clean and updated. Located just a short block from the beach; however it is right alongside an active railroad. Property managers were very helpful with communication before and during the stay. We did have an issue with the front door key not working and it was inconvenient not being able to leave until the issue was resolved. They use lock boxes with keys as opposed to electronic keypads for entry. The unit was well equipped with essential items as well as plenty of extra towels, pillows etc. Last negative about our stay was the thermostat program was somehow locked. We were able to make the unit cooler, but it must have been programmed (intentionally or accidentally) to increase the heat to 85 degrees at 3am. Went to bed comfortable but woke up stifling hot every night. Nevertheless, these are small issues that can be properly addressed in future.

Fun week at the beach

The Beach Abode is well located, 1 block from the beach and 15 min walk to The Pier and Palace Playland. The place was clean and confortable. My only complaint would go the the key system. A code is perfect while travelling since you don’t have to carry around the keys but I think a code door lock would be an improvement. We found the actual pad lock system not easy to deal with when your hands are full with beach stuff or groceries. It would avoid also a situation where somebody took off with the building key and we couldn’t get in.

Great stay

Clean and cute property in OOB. Communication was great and when we accidentally got locked out someone was there to assist within 10 minutes. Looks just like the photos. FYI the train runs very near but didn't bother us - in fact the kids loved it when they saw it (maybe 2x a day). The beach is a 3 minute walk. Recommend!

Perfect beach condo!

The condo was exactly as it looks in the photos. Very clean and new. It is so close to the beach which made for easy walks with kids. The balcony was a great perk!

My husband was actually sick and admitted into the hospital so I thought I was going to cancel!

I was so happy with the experience! Easy rental, beautiful house, great location! My husband got admitted to the hospital on Sunday right before vacation so I thought I was going to have to cancel! Fortunately, my daughter and her boyfriend came with my younger step children! The location was perfect! The checkin process was great! Sleeping arrangements perfect as well! My parents came one day to help as well which eased my husbands mind while he was recovering in the hospital and it was perfect that the location and amenities were so amazing! We can’t wait to ALL go back next year!

Perfect getaway!

We will not go back to using hotels for family vacations after our stay here. Everything we needed they provided and being able to cook a few meals rather than go out helped save a few bucks too! Very clean and easy check in process!

The condo was great. It was just enough room for the 5 of us. It seemed brand new, clean and well taken care of. Being 1 block from the beach was nice. Plenty of things to do in walking distance. We enjoyed our stay !

Beautiful place!

The rental it self was beautiful! Everything was clean and just as mentioned on the listing. It was extremely see to communicate with the property manager as well! The location was not as family friendly as I hoped it would be.

Very clean and close to everything!

Excellent stay! The condo was well stocked with everything you could need and having a company provide clean towels and linens certainly made things easier! Washer and dryer were super convenient being at the beach with three teen girls and me and my husband. You can literally walk to the beach in less than 5 minutes. On the corner of the street is an amazing little mom and pop restaurant that does an awesome breakfast, lunches and pizza. Literally everything is within walking distance-shops, restaurants and bars. The location is great if you want to explore as Portland is within 20 minutes, Freeport less than an hour and Booth Bay is only about an hour and half. We had a great week!
