Wooded, Lakefront home in Apple Valley

Our home is located right on Apple Valley Lake just outside of Mt Vernon, OH. This house has 3 levels, 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths.

The lower level has a TV room with a walk-out basement to a hot tub and fire pit. The lower level includes a full bathroom, a pool table, and a bunkroom with 2 full & 2 twin beds. On the main floor are the master bedroom (king) with a full bathroom, kitchen with walkout to 2nd story deck, and family room with TV and fireplace. Upstairs has 2 bedrooms (queen & 2 queens) and a bathroom.

Apple Valley Lake is 511 acres and is known to be the cleanest lake in Ohio. It is a beautiful and relaxing setting. Relax and have fun swimming, floating, and fishing off of our dock while enjoying great views of the lake.

Area activities include Apple Valley Golf Course, Honey Run Falls, Mohican State Park and more.

PLEASE NOTE: Steep path to dock, Apple Valley Lake is privately owned and regulated, so while you can use our dock for swimming, floating and fishing you will NOT be able to boat or use the beaches/pools, those amenities are reserved for property owners only. Also, during the winter the lake is lowered.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE: NO LARGE PARTIES OR GATHERINGS ALLOWED / Community Quiet Hours are enforced 11PM - 7AM.

Property was great! Beautiful setting. Well stocked with everything you need. Great time with our family! Only issue was the AC stopped working. Got to 82 in the house. Morgan responded quickly and had someone come out to get it going again.

Great beautiful place.

I love any place that has a lake but i will say the house was great and the lake was nice. The only problem is how steep that walk was to the lake but it was still nice. Love the modern updates on the home. Hot tub was a great addition. Overall it was great thank you!

Easy Trip!

Morgan was transparent about oven issues, but we had no trouble managing with the rest of the kitchen. The kitchen was very well stocked and the master bed was more comfortable than any bed we've ever slept in!

Great Ohio Fall Reunion

Our group had folks from Cleveland, Columbus, Missouri and So. Dakota. All had a great time in this beautiful Fall (but great anytime I'm sure) setting. Sitting by the Lake, fishing from the dock, enjoying the hot tub, gathering for meals in the great kitchen/dining/family room area ( home has great flow), enjoying NCAA Football and MLB Baseball on the huge TV (we didn't know much about streaming from YouTube TV, etc. but this owner had it set up beautifully for us), coffee on the deck overlooking the lake, short trips ot Mt. Vernon for groceries and Danvile for Church made it a tremendous time for all. Host is very gracious and home, setting are fantastic for family, group a few couples, etc. First-rate!

Very nice stay at the Apple Valley lake house

We really enjoyed the house. We took full advantage of the wonderful hot tub with a nice view of the lake, while enjoying the snow fall. Definitely will go back. We also had a really nice dinner for New Year's Eve at The Alcove restaurant. Will be going back there too.

Such a lovely place to stay!

It's very clear the host has been thoughtful and intentional in making their home inviting, comfortable, attractive, and functional. There was plenty of room for our large group (7 adults, 2 teenagers, and 1 toddler) and we all agreed we'd love to stay there again in the future. Thank you!

Well appointed lake house

Our extended family had a wonderful and relaxing time at this property over Kenyon College graduation weekend (and it’s only 20 minutes to campus). The owners have taken time to provide many special touches to increase the comfort of renters. Communication with the owner was excellent both prior to and during our stay. A special request was handled immediately as well-so grateful! The online description is accurate. We would definitely stay again. Highly recommend!

Everyone in our party loved this property. So much to do or just sit on the deck and relax. Beds were comfortable. Owners responsive and great to work with. Highly reccomend.

Great choice for our family!

Exactly as advertised - looks just like the pictures, no suprises. Owners were very accessible by phone/text and super friendly. House was stocked with everything you might need. A/C was very refreshing. Pool table was a big hit with the kids! The back deck and fire pit area were quiet and relaxing. The water was cool and refreshing, easy to swim off the dock. You might want water shoes, since the bottom is rocky or muddy. Gets to be about 10 feet deep just off the dock. Highly recommend! Thank you!

Nice weekend getaway

House has lots of space. We had a adult family members and there was space to all be together or apart (because sometimes you need to be alone!) Easy drive from Columbus, O. Highly recommend.
