COTTAGE BY THE BEACH:3 bedrooms, air conditioning, washer/dryer. Dog friendly!

This charming 1950s cottage is only about a half block from the lovely Tierra del Mar beach, and it's central to so many fun activities. Surfing in Pacific City is about 3 miles away, Lincoln City Outlet stores is about 25 minutes to the south of us, and the Blue Heron and Tillamook cheese factories are about 25 minutes north. There is hiking very close, and the famous Dory fishing boat charters are about 6 minutes away. For those riding the Sandlake dunes, we are approximately 15 minutes away. Then of course, it's fun to just walk down the quiet street to the beach and enjoy the view.

The house was perfect. Bed super comfy and kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The host was on it keeping us informed on everything. House was spotless and warm and inviting.

Really comfortable and homey house. Larger than the photos depict. Very well stocked. Quiet neighborhood and short walk to the beach. You can hear the waves at night! The kitchen has a ton of equipment, sharp knives, and a few condiments. Coffee bar was a fun touch.

Great Cottage!

This is a wonderful cottage close to the beach. The space was great for our family. The kitchen was very well stocked. It is located close to many things to do - hikes, beaches and other adventures. Highly recommended!

Steps from the beach!

This beach cabin was SO CLEAN, we really appreciated how comfortable and easy it was to settle in from the moment we stepped in the door. The house is just steps from the beach and on your way there you get to feed the wild bunnies! The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking in. The house had extra towels, blankets and pillows, really everything you needed to feel comfortable (even beach chairs!) All of the house rules and guidelines were clearly written out and easy to follow. The owners were easy to get ahold of and so communicative both via phone and VRBO app when a small issue did arise. They took care of it promptly without interfering with our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely little home

This is a well-cared for home (with an amazingly stocked coffee bar!) in an area that feels a bit remote - it's great for a short walk to the beach, but it rained the whole time we were there so our kids (5 & 4) loved the array of games and art supplies. Cell service was nonexistent and Wi-Fi was very spotty which was a bit rough when the kids wanted to watch a movie. Originally we were to be joined by my parents and our dog but they were unable to make it and the hosts were wonderful about refunding the pet fee - it ended up being fine as I think the configuration of bathrooms is best-suited for a one-family stay. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and great host communication!

Great house!

My family and I had an amazing time! The living area is set up so the whole family can sit at the table playing games or on the couch watching tv. It’s an easy walk to the beach and plenty of friendly wild life along the way. It was a quiet neighborhood.

Great location and clean

This is a great little home that is clean and inviting. Loved the ample, comfortable seating in the family room. Close to the beach with easy access located on a very quiet street. Could hear the ocean from the house. A sitke forest with trails near by, that we enjoyed as well. Overall great experience!

Birthday getbaway for husband

We had a lovely weekend stay woth our adult children. Kitchen was well appointed, walk to the beach was wonderful and super close. Only negative is there is only one functional bathtub / shower. The other works good as a dog wash though.

We love Tierra Surf!

Another great year at Tierra surf. we just love that cabin. I’ve been going there ever since I was a kid and to be able to bring my family Is a great thing. It truly feels like a home away from home. Thank you!! See you next year.

A few missing details

Overall the stay was great. Home is beautiful, proximity to beach is fantastic. Small town is right what we wanted. Two things felt like they weren't disclosed for a reason. Wild rabbits everywhere. Triggered my dog's prey drive so walking them at least twice a day was tedious at best. One time they ran up from the beach and by the time I climbed my way back up to the house there was a very angry neighbor waiting. But the worst part was the promise of an over size bathtub in the picture on your site. Turns out that it is only big enough for a small dog or toddler. Not a place for relaxing soak. Take that photo out. Feeling misled.

So close to the beach!

This is our second stay at this property. My wife and I were here in February to celebrate her birthday - we returned for mine. The biggest issue with the property is the two tiny bathrooms. They are functional but very small. We love that the beach is just a two minute walk from the property. We were blessed with mostly good weather during our 3-day stay.

Beach Cottage

This Beach Cottage was exactly what we expected. Just a minute walk to the entrance of the beach and then another minute or so to reach the water. Semi secluded with not very many people on the beach. The home is in a very quiet street with virtually no one moving around. There are maybe a dozen homes on this dead end road, thus the quietness. The cottage is older, but has that great lived in feeling that helps you relax. Plenty of seating area inside and a very nice outdoor fire pit and plenty of beach chairs to gather around and enjoy the fire and conversation. The beds were comfortable and there were enough blankets to keep out the cooler evenings. This was late September and we managed to avoid the rains that came on the morning we returned home. This home reminded us of that 70s beach funkiness. By this we mean we liked it very much. We didn’t bring any kids, but there were plenty of toys for that age group (3 to 7 years). A ton of board games and TVs in every bedroom. There are 2 bathrooms, but only one shower per se. The second one is more for cleaning your feet or cleaning up the kids because there was no shower curtain and the basin was small, but a heck of a lot better than camping. I guess that is about it. The price was reasonable, so for a family to enjoy the beach I would highly recommend this cottage.

Tierra surf stay

We hsve stayed in this cabin before. It is located close to the beach. The cabin is well maintained and the owners care about your stay. I would highly recommend staying here.

Wonderful little beach house!

Tierra Del Mar is our favorite beach at the Oregon Coast. Any given time we went out to the expansive beach during this most recent trip, there were less than 10 people out there on the sand - and it's typically like that. The Tierra Surf House met all of our needs - allowed the doggies, fully stocked kitchen, full-size laundry, TVs in each room (teens loved that) and tons of games to play in the morning while waiting for the mist and clouds to clear. The owners were super communicative, accommodating and easy to get a hold of. They made sure that our stay went smoothly and we appreciate all they did for us in our week in June. Look forward to renting again in the future - maybe in the fall, when we can make good use of the wood stove and fire pit. :) Thank you!

Comfortable Cottage, Responsive Hosts

We were there for Christmas and the owners had put up a Christmas tree and some nice holiday decorations which really added to our holiday vacation. The beds were comfortable and all of the other amenities were great. The location just off of the beach can't be beat. I would definitely stay there again!

We love Tierra Surf

I’ve been staying at this cabin ever since I was a kid and have always enjoyed my stays. This year was the first time I rented with my wife and kids. This cabin holds so many memories near and dear to me and the new updates are great and don’t take away from the cabin atmosphere. We love the privacy of the area and how close it is to the beach. The Copkos are such wonderful and welcoming people and truly care about you. We hope to be able to stay here in years to come.

This beach cottage was purchased by our grandparents for a family getaway. Five generations have enjoyed the sea, sand, roasting marshmallows over a fire, board games, fishing, and great food. It has been instrumental in keeping our family close.
