Tremendous!

Lovely house with a fantastic view. Clean, perfect pool and comfy beds. Full kitchen and 2.5 bath. Very clean and centrally located on St Croix. Hope to stay again.

Had an incredible stay in St Croix, the island was just the right pace for our much needed get away.The house was a perfect fit for us with the two master suites, there was more than enough space for my wife and I, and our 2 college age daughters. - Amazing View- Wonderful Deck & Pool- Very Clean- Great Central Location w/easy access to all parts of the island- Everything needed to have a stress free time while on island. (Beach Chairs, Coolers, Speaker, sun screen, and more)We’ve had the opportunity to travel to several destinations and stay in several homes through VRBO, Carl makes you feel like your staying at a friends house vs a guest in a strangers home. If we return to St Croix we’ll ask to stay here again and have recommended it to a few friends already.

Perfect private getaway

This place is the perfect size for one or two couples. My husband and I were celebrating our 22nd anniversary and this place was beautiful with an excellent view. It was central to all the places we wanted to go and just a short drive to our favorite restaurant, Rowdy Joe’s. The pool was nice and cold. We had everything we needed to feel right at home.

Beautiful Property

This is a beautiful home in a great location. Perched atop a hilltop overlooking the Salt River and the ocean, it has amazing views. Home is fully equipped for a great stay. It’s location allows for easy access to both Christiansted and Frederiksted. Carl and Sandy are great and had every detail covered. I highly recommend this property.

The Landings

My Husband and I try to visit every year to enjoy all this island has to offer and visit out daughter who is a resident. We have stayed at this house many times. It is clean, private, and quiet with lovely views. It has everything you need. A home away from home. A great location, close to grocery stores, the North Shore, and Christiansted.

Pretty close to perfection

The property was perfect for our stay and would even have been great with another couple as well. The layout of the house is fantastic and they really did think of everything. No need to overpack! When you walk in and see that view….WOW! It was absolutely breathtaking. We enjoyed breakfast outside most mornings and enjoyed relaxing on the patio at the end of the day as well.Carl was great at communicating with us and giving information when requested. We highly suggest this place for your next stay. Thanks for having us!

Amazing views and tranquility!

From the moment we walked in the front door we knew this home was special. It has spectacular views, the interior is beautifully decorated, and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Very private and tranquil spot, lots of gorgeous bougainvillea surrounding the house. Having the beautiful pool and the views made for the best of both worlds! Hope to return soon!

This place is amazing, great central location, beautiful view, house is excellent, perfect for 2 couples, beds/pillows were very comfortable, bath towels better then most high end hotels. Kitchen well stocked, we cooked most our meals. Pool was nice to cool off and enjoy the view. Sandra the property manager was great!

Legit St. Croix Vacation Location

This place is amazing! Four of us stayed at the house for a week in January and had a great time. The view across Salt River bay out to the Caribbean Sea and sister islands was incredible. The house had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was perfect for cooking our own meals in and the pool was a nice spot to cool off after hours at the beach. The location was very central to all of the activities we had planned for our trip. I would definitely recommend this property! We look forward to returning.

Paradise !!

Well we did come back and it was so nice to see that the villa was still so well maintained and clean, we stayed a second week at a different villa because we needed more bedrooms and it was a disappointment after staying at The Landings! We'll be back Joanne & Kurt

Truly a Slice of Paradise

Fantastic home with everything you could possibly need including a pool! Centrally located to make the drive easily to any of the wonderful beaches, restaurants & shops. The owner Carl, & his team Sandy & David, were terrific to work with & quickly responsive to any questions that came up. This house has amazing views & was so relaxing & peaceful it was hard to leave! We will definitely be back to enjoy one of the "best kept treasures" on the island. Thank you Landings team!

We didn’t want to go home

This is a great property that is convenient to everything on the island. The property management team was extremely helpful. Although the house itself is great, the best part is the view. If for no other reason, come for an endless picture postcard of Sugar Bay, the sea, and the sight of St Thomas, St John, and the British Virgin Islands on the horizon. Every night there’s a star show in the sky. We’ll be back!

Overall wonderful house

This was a very nice property. Stayed for two weeks and the photos are a great depiction of the property. We had everything we needed and Sandra met us at the road leading to the property. It was very private, the house was clean and quiet. We would recommend it for one or two couples. One suggestion would be to add a second chaise lounge chair on the deck. Otherwise, wonderful vacation and we highly recommend the property. Thanks Sandra

Paradise !!

We stayed here for a week March 6-13 2010 The Villa was better than what I expected , the furnishings and the pictures were all lovely. The views and relaxing by the pool was awesome, also the setting and the privacy of this Villa was a plus. Kayaking on Salt River was fun to explore . We cooked in most nights by the end of the day who wanted to go back out when you have it all right here.We did have lunch at Angry Nate's and Rumrunners. and if you want to see a St Patty's day parade like nothing you've seen before come to St. Croix!!! We cannot say enough great things about our experience so I'll try and keep it short. The interactions with the hosts were probably our favorite part, and that's saying a lot considering the incredible views and amazing accommodations. - Location: Awesome. Short drive to Christiansted. Short drive from the airport. Short drive to some great beaches. Picturesque views - Accommodations: Comfortable, classy, and felt like home the second we walked in. Spacious and well stocked. If you have the opportunity to book this place, just do it. Our family is genuinely counting down the days until we can visit again. The Landing Villa - Estate Montpellier East

We were very happy with our stay at The Landing Villa. The layout was great for the two couples in our party. The location was convenient; we always felt safe on the property. The villa was well equipped and furnished; the beds were comfortable. The view of of Salt River Bay from the deck was beautiful. Sandy met us at the airport and escorted us to the property. She was very helpful and charming, with suggestions and recommendations. The property manager was easy to communicate with and prompt to reply to any questions. The water in the pool was too cold to be comfortable for us during our January stay; a pool heater would be a nice improvement. We would stay at this property again.

Stunning!

Such a beautiful property with an incredible view for our honeymoon! Carl was very attentive and provided a lot of details before we arrived, making me feel way more comfortable going somewhere I had never been. Sandy met us at the airport, waited while we got our rental car, led us to the house and to the grocery store. I am so grateful! Driving on the wrong ;) side of the road was intimidating at first, but it was super helpful to follow her! I did get the hang of the driving pretty quick. The house was perfect, you could hear the neighbors (not loud at all) but you couldn't see them. The pool and view were wonderful! Watch out, the tiles are slippery and sharp. Carl and Sandy were very thoughtful and made us feel special! Can't wait to come back someday (not in June though (humidity!)... maybe January lol

Best VRBO Experience Yet!

This property is the best 'home away from home' we have experienced in our global travels. We have stayed in dozens of VRBO properties around the world and this house tops them all. From the view, to the 'little things' in the kitchen, to even small laundry baskets on wheels, Carl and Sandy have thought of everything to make your stay stress free. Sandy was great to meet at the airport and was very helpful navigating our frustration of the airline losing our luggage for a day (on a direct flight). We had a small incident the first night with one of the AC units not having freon and it was taken care of the next day, even during the week of Christmas! I could go on and on about all the little things that were great, from the beach chairs, cooler, toiletries, etc. but the biggest reason to rent this property is the people. Sandy and Carl went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, even going as far as offering to extend our stay in case our flight was cancelled (as so many have been during the holidays). St Croix is a lovely island with wonderful people and Sandy and Carl are shining examples of this hospitality.

Everything you need.

Upon our arrival we were met by the property manager Sandy at the airport. Our flight was delayed and texts that I sent her were responded to promptly. She escorted us to the home to ensure that we did not get lost. When we entered the home, she had left us a ‘welcome basket’ that was filled with plenty of yummy treats. The home was well stocked and extremely comfortable and secluded. The owner of the home Carl was quick with a response to any questions we had prior to our arrival. He prepared a nice welcome packet with suggestions on how to make the most of our trip to the island. We had a few minor issues that were addressed immediately. These issues were beyond the owner’s control but the repairs were performed within hours. Sandy was great to deal with and if ever we decide to return to the island… we certainly would consider staying at the home again. Thank you to the home owner(s) and Sandy for providing such a lovely and comfortable home and ensuring we had the best time possible.

Don't hesitate - book it now!

Great house, great view, great manager/agent. Tom Pinchbeck (the owner's agent, & with Calabash Realty) will meet you at the airport & guide you to the house, show you around and leave you to enjoy the house. We had a minor problem with the hot water & he responded immediately. The house is very well maintained & spotless when you arrive. Everything you need is provided. Perfect for 2 couples, 2 king beds probably don't work for a family with kids, but check with Tom to see if options are available. Fully airconditioned in all rooms. We didn't ever consider using it - perfect weather and constant breeze. Both bedrooms are very large - larger than the pictures show. Combo kitchen, dining room, living room is plenty roomy (8 people at dinner wouldn't be a crowd). There are neighbors, but you can't see them & seldom (barely) hear them. Water is filtered & UV treated - no need to buy water. Nice central island location to explore from. A car is a must - nothing within walking distance. Groceries, restaurants, Christiansted... all within 5 or 10 minutes drive. The listing data is accurate, except that the pictures just don't do justice to the view. Not a single reason to worry about renting this property - excellent in every aspect.

A dream anniversary trip!!

We had planned to come to St Croix and the Landings back in April for our 20th anniversary. My mothers passing that month forced us to try to reschedule. The owners of the Landings were kind enough to allow us to come last week, October 8-15. The house is everything the previous posts have mentioned!! We woke daily to the view down the mountian to the Salt River with sailboats anchored and the Caribbean beyond. Some of the days were clear enough to see the other Virgin Islands in the distance. The early part of each day was spent enjoying our coffee and light breakfast poolside with our good friends who enticed us to visit St Croix with them. They are planning to relocate there and having visited numerous times, wanted to share their future home with us. Usually by 1 or 2 pm, and a Cruzan rum drink or 2, we were ready to do some exploring. As also mentioned previously a Jeep is a good idea for a car rental and also remember that Cruzans drive on the left!!! Our first day was a drive to the rain forest and a visit to Mt. Pellier Domino Club and the famous beer drinking pigs. Other days we went to the beach, hit some laid back beach bars, shopped in downtown Christiansted and drove to the easternmost part of the island, Point Udall which is the easternmost point of the United States territory. Every day we returned to the Landings to enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening. There are many fine restaurants in St Croix, we particularly enjoy casual places that have good food. At Rumrunners we ate the best conch fritters, had melt in your mouth filets at Bombay Club and a huge lobster at the Golden Rail. In wrapping this up I must thank the owners for providing such a gorgeous house for us to celebrate our special occasion and compliment them in their choice of Tom Pinchbeck as the property manager. He has been friendly and courteous from the first conversation regarding the rental and always available for questions once we were on the island. We hope to return to visit and enjoy the Cruzan hospitality again before our friends move there and also look forward to much longer visits once they build their own home in Paradise!!!

A++ stay from beginning to end

Our host Sandy was awesome!!! She meet us at The Market after we finished our initial food/drink shopping then escorts us to the property. Island roads are not well marked or maintained making it a little difficult to navigate so it was really helpful to have a guide for the first trip home; also it is DARK at night so make note of landmarks (we knew to turn at the stone wall off the main road). After making the drive once, we felt confident in finding the place on our own. The driveway is steep but has a nice turnaround at the top. It was no issue thanks to our jeep. Sandy gave a brief tour of the place, answered any questions, made some recommendation and even stocked our fridge with a nice variety of drinks (including some local favs)...and left us a tasty treat basket. Extremely thoughtful! She was a joy to speak with. As soon as we walked in, this property felt like home. And then, THAT VIEW! Very clean, comfortable furniture, really soft/plush linens, a nice stock of appliances/dishes, the coffee maker has a metal filter and uses standard ground coffee (did a great job!). Every appliance or kitchen tool we needed, was there and in good shape. The sunscreen bar (formerly a wine/cocktail bar) was a fantastic idea and offered some alternatives to be reef safe or get you started with SPF. We left behind all the sunscreen we brought knowing that everything is much more expensive on the island (importing is costly). The pool doesn't have a handrail to step in and the pool tile is extremely slick so be careful getting in and out of the pool. We'd sit at the steps and scoot in. Loved the color, the size was perfect and overlooking the ocean was stunning. The layout was perfect for 2 couples (a king suite on each end of the house, each with its own bathroom). It was very well stocked with laundry, cleaning, basic cooking supplies, pillows, pool towels, etc. They had some beach equipment to borrow but you can rent chair/umbrella at Rainbow and save yourself the hassle. The AC worked super (not a common experience on the island). We mostly used the room AC at night with the bedroom doors closed...allowing the main living space to remain open and unconditioned. Just be respectful and turn it off when youre not there during the day because energy costs are extremely expensive on the island. Checkout was awesome-- do nothing! Of course we still cleaned out the fridge and took out the trash, but it wasn't required.

The Landings is not just a rental property for us, it’s our second home. We grew up in St. Croix and love sharing it with guests from around the world. We hope you'll love the house but we also genuinely hope you'll enjoy the island and its lovely people. It's a weird, special place.

While we are lucky enough to be the current stewards of The Landings, we are a small part of a much larger tribe. We could not do this without the terrific team that cares for the property as well as the island. Special thanks to Christine and David, Sandy, Mama C, Honnie, Bill, Phillip, Drew, Moses, Joshua , Elizabeth, Eugene, Miguel, and all our beautiful Crucian friends, families, and neighbors who keep this little rock in the Atlantic running.

The Landings is a special place. It's secluded, quiet, and relaxing. Truly the perfect escape. It's situated perfectly between Christiansted and Frederiksted and close to all the best beaches, bars, and restaurants. And the view - wait until you experience the view!

But the view is only half the story. We also try to take care of all the details.  Everything you need for a special visit has been considered. From beach chairs, coolers, and Yetis, to sunscreen, towels, and portable speakers, you'll have everything you need during your stay. But it's not just the fun stuff - we also provide soap, shampoo, conditioner, paper products, detergent, phone chargers, and a fully stocked kitchen. It really is our second home and it's appointed as such.

We'll also provide our personalized St. Croix Guide once you book. In it you'll find all of our updated picks for dining, shopping, activities, and of course, beaches!

Lastly, our team will do all we can to make your stay perfect. (Without intruding!) Meet you at the airport when you arrive? Of course. No hassle check-out? Absolutely. Ask you to do laundry or clean? Not a chance! The Landings is all about relaxation.
