The house was very beautiful, clean, and offered stunning views. However, a significant concern was the presence of a strong sulfur and rotten egg odor that permeated the area. This issue greatly limited our ability to enjoy the balcony and outdoor spaces fully. While there were occasional moments when the smell was manageable, overall it was quite pervasive, which negatively impacted our experience. Additionally, the abundance of sea grass both in the water and on the beach made it less accessible and unenjoyable. We believe these factors should be clearly noted in the property listing given the requested pricing. While we understand some conditions may be seasonal, these issues affected our overall enjoyment and did not align with the value we paid for the cost of our stay. Also, direction need to be updated. It was difficult finding the home from the directions given. We had to stop and ask the locals for assistance.

Great place to stay , if we come back to st croix and it’s available we would stay here again

Everything was great , only negative is unavoidable ( the beach is covered in seaweed of some sort that grows off shore here. There are many great beaches close to drive to for water activities so it’s not a deal killer

Perfect House and Location

We have stayed in many short-term rental locations and this is definitely one of the best! The house was exceptionally clean and well-appointed and all the indoor and outdoor furniture was updated. There were beach chairs and floats available - which was great! The location was perfect for what we needed - lots of local snorkeling and good restaurants. It was a wonderful house for our vacation!

Lovely

This is a beautiful home with great views of the ocean. Very clean, comfortable. The home had several seating areas with comfortable furniture - pool area, balcony, tv area. The kitchen was well equipped with hardware and miscellaneous food items/staples. We had a couple issues that the home owner and property manager took care of promptly. Excellent location. Would certainly rent again when in St.Croix.

Beautiful property

The house and grounds are absolutely beautiful even better than the pictures. We had a great time on the island went to every beach all so gorgeous. Unfortunately the small beach area at the house had so much stinky seaweed on shore we could not enjoy it but cant control mother nature. The pool is very nice as well. We spent everyday at different beaches, ate at probably every really good restaurant and lounged by the pool in the evenings. Such a relaxing and tranquil property.

Great location, great property

The pictures really don’t do the place justice. Everything was well taken care of and the furnishings were comfortable and homey. The views from the deck were gorgeous and changed daily with the weather and wave conditions. I would certainly stay again

Bonding time

We so enjoyed our stay at the Hibiscus Beach House. It had everything that we needed and more! House was as described in the listing. The location was great for everything that we wanted to do. I would definitely recommend this house for your next vacation.

Perfect for our family

The property was the ideal setting for our family’s winter vacation. Between the beautiful house, the view, the pool, and direct access to a private beach, there was nothing left to be desired. Check-in was seamless and the house had everything we needed. We made some lasting memories in this house and hope to do it again!

Excellent location and house

We enjoyed drinking coffee on the back deck every morning. The kitchen was well appointed. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean.

Assume sunrise!

Wonderfull to watch the sunrise from the bedrooms or the second level covered porch. Everything was very clean and high quality. Private pool was very enjoyable. Short walk to the ocean was for snorkeling or just a swim. Everything was Wonderfull and just as they show. Great place and would definitely stay again!

Tropical Oasis

We have never vacationed outside of the continental US, so we didn’t really know what to expect. This vacation absolutely blew us away! The Hibiscus Beach House was beyond our expectations. Usually when we rent vacation homes I have to tidy up a bit before we unpack, not this time though. Everything was in order and we immediately unpacked our bags, took a short walk down the beach and then jumped in the pool. Centrally located on the north side of the island, we were able to get around quickly and conveniently everywhere we wanted to go. We loved meeting Blackie and Stew, the friendly Salt River neighborhood dogs and also enjoyed the visits from a couple of local iguanas while we were poolside. We learned much about the history of this beautiful island and enjoyed our excursion to find the Monks Baths as well as snorkeling Buck Island and kayaking in the bioluminescent bay. Everyone on the island was warm and friendly and we haven’t stopped talking about a repeat visit in the future. Hibiscus Beach House was truly a tropical oasis for our family.

The property was exactly as it appeared online and was exactly what we were looking for. Great views, great accommodations and very private, quiet and relaxing. Thoroughly enjoyed the great weather and the ability to hear the trade winds blowing and waves breaking on the beach 24/7. It was great to have the beach just steps away although we found some nicer beaches around the island. It was our first time on St. Croix but definitely not our last.
