Our place is close to public transport and main roads, but still in a residential neighborhood with off-street parking. Also close to the KU Campus, a major grocery store and many restaurants. About 7 minutes drive downtown Lawrence. Great for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Free laundry machines on site!

One bedroom with queen size bed. Couch/air mattress available in living room for a third person.. Great for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.

Spacious, super-cozy, one bedroom apartment with self-check-in and private entrance. Full kitchen, and shared laundry room (1 free load every five days). In a residential neighborhood just minutes from KU and many shops, restaurants, and local features.

Easy stay!

Overall a very good experience. Only complaint is that you can hear the people upstairs walking and that’s how we woke up in the morning. Very kind hosts and a clean space!

The apartment was clean, attractive, and close to the places I wanted to go. The hosts are a lovely couple who are committed to their guests comfort. I really enjoyed meeting them and wouldn't hesitate to book this apartment again.

Nice and Easy

This is a great place, not too far from campus. I walked (1.7 miles) to the game on Saturday after a great night's sleep. I look forward to staying here again.

Simple stay in the best way

We literally only needed a clean place to sleep while we were in town for one night. This unit fit the bill. Approach was a little confusing as I had forgotten this was a basement apartment, but host was very friendly and eager to help. Outside of property could be a little cleaner, but unit itself was spotless and fit exactly what. Do wish the couch was a little more comfortable, but we didn't need it.

Close to campus

Very close to KU and 23rd which has lots of restaurants. Small, but clean, and big kitchen. Basement of a home and owners live above/laundry in other basement area- so you do hear that as mentioned by other reviewers. We didn't spend a lot of time there as we were moving my kid into an apartment, but very nice people and bed is comfortable. One note: entrance ceilings and shower are very low so it is hard for anyone over 6 feet tall.

Lovely people, OK accomodations. Pros: 1. The hosts are very sweet.2. The bed is very comfortable. 3. The apartment has a good kitchen. 4. Nice location.Cons: 1. Communication prior to arrival was not the best. I didn't know how to check in before arriving. Fortunately, I gave them my ETA and they met me when I parked. 2. The place had a slight funk which I tried to ignore, it's a basement after all. However, after getting caught in the rain and having the need to wash my outfit (only packed 1 per day), I discovered it was coming from the laundry room. Upon opening the door I reeled from the smell of stagnant water! I quickly threw my outfit in the washer and set it going, holding my breath as much as possible. After the load was washed and dried, I brought them items into the bedroom to change back into them and realized they all smelled like the laundry room - gross!!! I couldn't wear them again because it made me nauseous. 3. Given that it's a basement, be prepared to be awoken by the hosts' footsteps in the morning.4. The light fixture in the bathroom needs a good clean (see pic).5. The caddy in the shower for personal care products is useless and fell on the floor every time I went to use it.

quiet neighborhood

The host and hostess were very friendly. The property seems to be under renovation so some improvements may be made soon. It's an older place so normal wear and tear is apparent but its very clean. The kitchen, living area and bedroom are quite large.

Brian and Marita were great hosts!

Place was very clean and was nice to return to the coolness of a basement from the very hot heat of the days. We were visiting family in Lawrence, KS so we only slept there in the evenings. It is a basement so there is the usual basement smell. When I return to visit I will be checking to see if this place is available.

Quiet place in town

While check in was not the most smooth, it was quickly fixed and overall it was a fine place for me for a short visit. Glad to have this option so close to university and the grocery store.
