The Starfish House is walking distance to several local restaurants as well as Sunset Park located at the south end of Key Colony Beach. Enjoy the tropical landscaping that surrounds the area while you watch the sun set over the open ocean. Children will love the playground and basketball court located just up the road.

The Starfish House is a ground level (entire bottom unit) 3/2 newly remodeled 1605 sq ft private waterfront home on the beautiful island of Key Colony Beach (next to Marathon) which comfortably sleeps 8 guests.

There’s plenty of living area inside the home to hang out and watch a movie or play cards after cooking up a meal in the fully stocked kitchen.

The Starfish House is conveniently located on a wide deep boating canal with a private 37.5 ft dock (maximum 32 ft. boat + motors) and sufficient front yard parking space for 1 boat trailer.

Boater’s will appreciate the easy ocean and bay access and the convenient location, as well as power and water available near the dock. There’s a bait freezer available for your use as well.

Enjoy 2 Kayaks, a fabulous outdoor area with propane grill and plenty of front, side and back yard.

During the duration of your stay enjoy access to the Cabana Club with includes use of pool and beach.

Excellent Fall and long term (28 plus days) discounts. Sleeps 8, 7 day minimum per license.

Please note occupancy is very strict in KCB and enforced by local officials, so make sure to include every guest when requesting a reservation, including children. Sat. to Sat. booking only.

Great stay in Key Colony! The house is clean and has everything you need. Loved being able to dock our boat and jump on each day. Jennifer is a wonderful host who was answered all questions anytime we had one. Will definitely look into staying again next year!

Family getaway

Well maintained beautiful property on the canal with a lovely water view. The house was clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the pool at the Cabana club. Hopefully we will be back very soon, it was hard to leave

Great place to stay!

From check in to check out we had a great experience! The host was very responsive the entire stay. The home was beautiful and comfortable. Two of the rooms are connected where you have to walk to the back room through the middle room but to was never an issue for us! The kitchen had anything you might need and the ac was cold in the house! A plus for us was fans in the bedrooms! We love having fans! The outdoor living area was super nice to have. We enjoyed many evenings out under the tiki! We also were able to park our boat in the canal which was super convenient! You will love this home!

First Trip to the Keys at the Starfish

The Starfish House was a perfect size and layout for our family group. We had 5 adults and two young boys. Key Colony was a great location and we brought our own boat down to keep at the dock which was a huge convenience. The owners were beyond helpful and helped make our stay as hassle free as possible. The Cabana Club pool and beach were very convenient when the boys wanted to just play on a beach and jump in a pool. (TRY the fruit popsicles from the food bar!!!) The boys loved fishing off the dock first thing in the morning and last thing in the afternoon. Two huge manatees came by our last afternoon right up to the dock to say hi. Plenty of parking for two vehicles and a boat trailer. We are already planning when we can come back.

property was very clean and nice ,our comments would be NO exhaust fans in bathrooms,hot water taking a very long time to reach faucets lack of water pressure in showers and couches need replaced [sitting for a while you just keep sinking,not much bottom support}

Clean and comfortable home in a great location

We enjoyed sitting by the canal and watching the pelicans. The cabana club was great, we enjoyed the beach and the pool. Key colony and Marathon key were both lovely, with plenty of wonderful restaurants. You do have to go through one bedroom to get to the second bedroom, which was an issue at times, but other than that it was a lovely home and we would definitely consider returning!

Starfish house

We enjoyed our one week stay. The property was clean and in excellent condition. The property manager was very prompt in reacting to some minor problems that we encountered (dealing with supplies at the house) but nothing that was a significant problem. Overall we would stay again and probably will.

Perfect island getaway home

One of the best rentals we’ve stayed at since our family started visiting the keys in 2010. We usually come down in august for lobster season. This year part of our group stayed at the property with the young kids. Perfect distance to the cabana club and for our diving/fishing group a short ride to make it offshore. Our host was fantastic in terms of communication. The house was clean, cold air in the rooms and spacious for the family. The tiki hut was a main attraction in watching sunsets. The starfish house was everything my family needed as a getaway and will definitely be one we look for first when booking next year.

Starfish House

Great property and great overall experience! Jennifer was very prompt in responding. The description was accurate. Plenty of space for our family of 6 (9 - 15 year old children). Deep water canal is convenient to open Atlantic waters and fishing, close (3 min walk) to small golf course and tennis/pickle ball courts, and included access to community pool, beach, and tiki bar/restaurant. Nice community to walk - felt very safe. Close to restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, and activities. Marathon does not disappoint with lots to do. We will plan to try to stay at this house again.

Awesome place!

We highly recommend the Starfish House! Was perfect! Everything we needed! Communication with owner was great. Ac stopped working but I texted Jennifer and she had someone there in less than an hour to fix it! Will definitely be back! Thank you for a great vacay!

Very Cozy

The property was very nice. One bedroom is connected to another bedroom and requires you to walk through to access the shared bathroom. This was the only thing I would have changed about the home. Everything was clean and Jennifer was a pleasure to work with.

Starfish Rocks

I had great communication with Jennifer. She was prompt to respond to questions and concerns. The Starfish house looks just like the pictures. It was very tastefully decorated with a beachy vibe. There was plenty of room for our party of 7. The cabana outside is key for keeping cool in the shade. The Cabana Club membership is a nice added bonus. We enjoyed our stay. The only thing to complain about, is we had to leave.

Spotless and immaculate

The house is much bigger than it appears in the pictures. I was shocked at the size of the living area. Plus hats off to the cleaning crew. Not a spec of dust or dirt anywhere. Way cleaner than the Marriott's we stayed in on the trip there.

Absolutely Beautiful!

This has been the best family trip!! First, Jennifer responded very quickly to every question we had! Even the ones we had a week before we arrived! This home is beautiful! The tiki hut out back allows you to enjoy the view under the shade! The kayaks we fun for a little evening ride around the canals and inlet. We had plenty of space for our family of 7! Sunset park is a nice evening walk from here! The pool and cabana club, where we had a great time, is just around the corner! I would highly, highly recommend the Starfish! There are many so amenities, it is cozy and we hope to stay again in the future!

Beautifully decorated canal front home!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Starfish house! The location was great! We are missing the beautiful turquoise waters already! The home had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved the outside patio area and even saw some manatees right off the dock! We enjoyed having access to the pool and beach at the Cabana Club. We also loved that we could dock the boat that we rented in the backyard. We had a good time snorkeling and fishing in the area! We hope to stay again another time!

Great property

Had a great time visiting Key Colony again. The house was gorgeous and had most of what we needed. The house and property looked exactly like that photos. We had really good communication with the property manager... Jennifer was wonderful. A few things about the property that weren't ideal, but not big problems... I cook a lot and would've liked more substantial cooking utensils in the kitchen. Plastic//rubber spatula's, etc. don't work well in a hot skillet or with heavy meat patties, steak, etc. Ended up using the grill utensils which were big and a little awkward but got the job done. There might've been one, but couldn't find a mixer in the kitchen (found a blender but no mixer). There was a minor plumbing issue in one of the two bathrooms. Since it was just the two of us, it was almost a non-issue. We notified Jennifer and she's addressing the issue. Overall a great property and good choice for us.

Perfect Location on Key Colony

Great property in a perfect location. It suited our family of 6 well along with my wife's parents. This is one of those properties that definitely deserves a 5 star review. It pains me to give it 5 stars only because that could lead to it becoming more popular and not being available next time I want to rent it, but they definitely deserve the 5 stars in my opinion. The owner has great communication skills and the property has everything we needed for some relaxing family time. The cabana club access was a bonus to be able to enjoy the pool and private beach. I was a little worried about parking before I got there but found that my 29 ft boat fit just fine on the dock and there was ample parking out front for my trailer, truck and wife's car as well. There is a comfy tiki hut and table on the back area along with bait freezer, and kayaks. Thanks for making our trip a great success!

Family vacation success

Stayed here with my wife, brother in law, sister in law, and my two and four year olds. House is very clean and easily accessible. If you are bringing smaller children you may need to childproof a little when you arrive. Pool access was wonderful and the ability to dock a boat out front is really nice. Overall a win!

Perfect getaway spot

Everything was perfect & better than described. There was a little of everything, very spacious & felt at home. The best was the back yard when the tiki hut, Kayaks & daily visitors down the canal. Will definitely be back soon. Jennifer was easy to reach for quick questions.

Great vacation

We had a wonderful vacation in KCB. Great home and patio area with tiki hut to shield the afternoon sun while enjoying a beer. Dock was perfect for 25ft boat. Easy access to ocean and bay.

My husband Jeff and I have been in love with the Florida Keys for as long as we can remember. My passion revolves around water and helping keep our Oceans clean for generations to come. I have been doing business and vacationing in the Florida Keys for over 20 years. I can't remember a day I didn't enjoy the amazing laid back vibe and uniqueness of the Florida Keys. The Florida Keys is home to the only living coral reef barrier which is also one of the largest in the World, provides residents and visitors alike warm year-round temperatures, and scenic, over-water views everywhere you look. We are up the street from the golf course, basketball, tennis and bocce ball court, as well as a playground for the little ones. Want to hear live music and have a drink at the bar? We are walking distance from the famous Havana Jacks! Want to take a scenic drive? We are centrally located in the middle of the Florida Keys just south of Marathon giving our guests convenient access to Marathon, Key West (approx. 1 hour drive) and Islamorada (approx. 30 min drive). There is something to to do for every age! To top it off we are located in the fishing capital of the world!!! The Starfish house is truly a dream boasting location and affordability in paradise.
