Welcome home to your dream vacation!

Location, natural beauty, and endless things to do await you and your family and friends at this little piece of paradise. This roomy four-bedroom beach house is nestled on a dead-end street in a private neighborhood at Ferry Beach in Saco, Maine. You can walk the pristine seven-mile beach perfect for seashell hunting, swimming, and building epic sandcastles.

The beach house is 50 steps away from one of the prettiest beaches in Maine! We are blocks away from the state park and within walking distance to Camp Ellis known for its seafood, jetty, and fishing pier. Two miles down the beach is Ocean Park where you can putter around in seaside gift shops, grab an ice cream at the charming Soda Fountain or play a game of shuffleboard. Want Honky Tonk? Travel three miles to Old Orchard and enjoy the amusements, pizza, and pier fries. In the mood to shop? The outlets in Freeport and Kittery are less than an hour away. Looking for more exploring? Kennebunkport and Portland are each a quick 20-minute car ride. The beach house is easily accessible to the turnpike and Portland airport.

Wake up to a sunrise each morning on one of your two decks and end the day with a cocktail on the expansive, second-floor deck with breathtaking views. Both decks have barbecues and places to dine al fresco. The beach house has three comfortable bedrooms: a king, a queen, and a second queen bed with an attached half-bath. Upstairs is the bunk room with two twin bunks and another full bed tucked into a cozy nook. Gather for family meals and epic game nights around a huge dining table in the fully equipped kitchen, including a lobster pot and all the fixings to enjoy Maine's famous fare! There are plenty of spaces to spread out and enjoy quiet moments alone and family time as well. Games, puzzles, and books are available. Computer users have WIFI, internet ready TVs and a DVD in the living room.

The outdoor hot/cold shower is very refreshing when coming off the beach. Book today. A lifetime of memories awaits you!

Fantastic location. Communication with host was great. Everything was as described- no issues. There are opportunities for a bit of refresh on paint and on patio cushions- torn and have mildew on them. Bathroom flooring (where washer and dryer are) needs a deep cleaning - grout is light grey in spots and black in others. Window doesn’t open in bedroom with king bed. Those are mild issues- easily fixed - truly a lovely family cottage.

Magic

Deck upstairs is a happy place. Lots of seats, a retractable awning, and the best view of the ocean. There are many towels, sheets and beach towels. Really great beach. Waves were pretty big (5-7’) a few days. The beach was not crowded, usually 3-4 other groups. We want to stay here ever year for our annual OOB if it’s available. Enjoy. 😎

Spectacular Stay at Grenier Family Beach House

We recently spent a wonderful week at the Grenier Family Beach House in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, and we loved everything about it. The location was spectacular, providing easy access to the beach and local attractions. The accommodations were incredibly thoughtful, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We had an amazing time and would love to make this our go-to summer vacation spot every year if possible. Highly recommend!

A little slice of heaven!

First time in Saco and very pleased to have found it. House is spacious and well appointed. View and proximity to beach can’t be beat!! Best of all, dogs allowed on the beach (all Saco beaches!). You could literally show up with your suitcase and some groceries and never have to leave. Two decks to enjoy the view and sounds of the ocean. Quiet, peaceful location close to a ton of activities if you do decide to go exploring. Can’t wait to return!

Beautiful house close to the beach

We love staying at this house. There is plenty of room inside for everyone - living room and another 'living room' upstairs with terrific views! We spent plenty of time on the upstairs deck, morning and evening. We had everything we needed for the kitchen and plenty of towels to use. The washer and dryer were a big help. We love the small neighborhood and being SO close to the beach. Plenty of off street parking, too. Looking forward to the next vacation! We miss the place already_- Wendy

Beautiful home, seconds from the beach

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this property. It was the perfect home for my family, including kids ranging in age from baby to teenager. The house is only a minute (maybe less!) walk to the sand, which is a dream for families with small children. The property was very clean and we appreciated the availability of towels and linens, along with everything you would need to cook your own meals in the kitchen. We ran into one very minor issue and the property owners were incredibly helpful. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us! We hope to be back next year!

Location

A beautiful second floor deck with views of the ocean was our favorite spot after a day at the beach. Comfortable beds too! It could been a bit cleaner upon arrival but other than that it was a great place.

Ocean Star

Exceptional beach house with space and everything you could possibly need for an extended stay. Quiet area with great views from the upstairs deck. Beach is steps away with no crowds. Lots to do around the area for kids too. If you want a clean quiet place for a family vacation do not hesitate to book this property. Easy communication with the property manager. Lovely views from 2nd floor deck!

Great property- lots of room. Kids loved the bunk room upstairs and claimed the upstairs living room as their own!! Can see the ocean from most rooms and even hear the waves a bit at night! Practically across the street from the gorgeous beach. Highly recommend.

Excellent Home Away From Home

Had a wonderful time with my family. Great location and set up for our smaller children. Great neighborhood - beach was one of the best I had ever been to. Couldn’t have asked for better hosts - they were responsive and kind. Our family is most grateful for sharing their beautiful home!

Beautiful clean house in a quiet neighborhood

We were so impressed by the organization and attention to detail by the property owners. The home is a bit older but very well maintained. We had everything we needed and expectations, along with an abundance of resources, were laid out in a very handy manual. The location was perfect for our family and our friends' family, which included six children 7 and under. It was easy to walk to and from the beach, which was clean and not at all crowded. There were huge seashells, which our kids had a blast collecting. The water was calm and, though a bit chilly, perfect for our kids to play in- they didn't mind the cold at all. The view from the back deck of the property, overlooking the ocean, was absolutely breathtaking. I loved having my coffee/breakfast out there each day. It was very safe for the kids as well. The kitchen was well-equipped. There were tons of things to do within a short drive away, from restaurants, to hiking, to putt putt golf, etc. We would highly recommend this property!! I hope to come back again.

July 4th Week

We enjoyed our stay very much and lover the location but just a few small items that could be improved upon. Trash bags were not provided and barley any tissues or toilet paper were given in the house. Also the rose bush located near the hose needs to be trimmed as we kept getting scratched and caught in the thorns when using hose to rinse our feet before entering the house. Other than that everything was excellent. Thank you very much.

AMAZING!

Beautiful home, perfect location! We really enjoyed the decks, the huge family dining table, the 1 minute walk to the private beach, the proximity to Old Orchard and Portland. The house was immaculate and very comfortable. We all absolutely loved it!

A little slice of heaven!

This place is hands down the best place to stay! Our family loved the space and how close this was to the beach and also the drives to Portland and Salem were easy peasy! I would highly recommend staying in this 3rd generation home! Absolutely beautiful views! The outdoor deck with views of the ocean were breath taking!

Perfect family getaway

Our family of nine spent 4 nights at the Ferry Beach house . The location of the house was perfect , literally a hop , skip , a jump and a few yards up the street and onto the beach which we had to ourselves . No car needed what a treat ! The house was more than adequate for all of us . Peaceful with amazing sunrises . Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer but hoping to return again one day .

Great family spot, quiet and close to the beach!

We had a great week with our extended family. Easily accommodated several couples with plenty of space, privacy and gathering space. Upper deck was great for morning coffee and family dinners. The upstairs suite was perfect for us and our toddler. So close to the beach in a quiet friendly neighborhood. Easy trips to OOB, restaurants and shopping. Thanks!!

Family gathering

Excellent home for multiple members of our family. Very easy walk to the beach for my 81 yr old mom. Very clean. Upper deck was the best for ocean view evenings.

We are third generation caretakers of this beloved family home in Ferry Beach. Our grandfather built it for our grandmother with whom he shared a 52 year love affair. He knew even then that the salt air is good for the soul.

Our grandmother loved the water and was always happiest at the ocean. Growing up the four of us were spoiled with ready access to the beach and more importantly grandparents who nurtured in each of us a deep love of the ocean.

When our mothers inherited the property, it changed physically; with an extensive renovation completed in 2004 which expanded on the original footprint and after living there together for many years it has now transitioned to us for safekeeping.

Our home is filled with four generations of memories.

We’ve celebrated birthdays and weddings at the beach. Our dogs have run along the shore and swam in the water, less concerned with the temperature then their humans. We’ve had clambakes and eaten so many lobsters. We’ve walked along at low tide, collecting sea glass and sand dollars. We’ve visited during stormy weather, witnessing the ocean’s power. We’ve had quiet moments with just a few of us and more lively ones with extended family. We’ve had joyful days filled with laughter and devastatingly sad ones filled with tears.

Each new family member has felt the pull of our ocean. It’s magic. A house is just a house but when you fill it with decades of memories it becomes something more.

We are excited to share this special spot with you and hope you are able to create your own wonderful family memories here.

You are close to everything at our beach house. You can get into downtown Portland in 20 minutes. Kennebunkport is also a short drive as is Ogunquit and the famous Marginal Way walk along the ocean. Hop on the Amtrak down to Boston to catch a Red Sox game. Or head north and visit one of the charming coastal towns or Acadia National Park. Feel like shopping? The Freeport outlets and the LL Bean flagship store are a short drive away. A few miles from your home away from home are family-friendly attractions like Old Orchard Beach, Funtown, Splashtown, and Saco Drive-In. Spend your days on a pristine beach where you have plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the ocean even in the height of the summer or escape to any adventure you can dream up!
