Amazing View/Pelican Beach 814

Amazing View. We walked in, saw the view from the balcony and had to have this condo! Sometimes, you can see the dolphin swimming int the Gulf from the balcony. It is a prefect location, beachfront with two pools and a tiki bar by the beach. The Pelican Beach resort has been recently painted and updated and looks great.
The resort has a wonderful beach, 3 swimming pools, 2 hot tubs, arcade, cafe (really good food, especially the onion rings), tennis courts, tiki hut (with very potent cocktails), an outdoor grilling are and more.

Our unit, Pelican Beach 814 is a two bedroom, 2 bath unit on the 8th floor. The master bedroom has a king bed and large smart TV. The master bath has a tub shower combo. There is a great view of the gulf from the master bedroom window.

The guest bedroom has a queen bed and large smart TV. The guest bathroom has a walk in shower.

The living room has a large smart TV and breathtaking views of the Gulf as well as a pull out sleeper sofa.

The kitchen has granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, a Keurig due (pods and a traditional coffee pot all in one), new stainless steel pots and pans and all the kitchen utensils and gadgets you will need. The unit also has a washer/dryer combo unit.

We highly recommend reserving beach chairs as early as possible. We do have beach chairs, boogie boards and a beach cart on the balcony for you to use as well. What we typically do is rent a couple of chairs and an umbrella and take some extra chairs down for our family and guests.

Great stay in the heart of Destin

Couldn't have asked for a better location for our weekend in Destin. The condo itself is beautiful and we loved the views of the beach. Our kids really enjoyed all three pools at the property and it was nice having the snack bar to grab drinks or a bag of ice. We did rent chairs & an umbrella through the onsite company (La Dolce Vita) and would recommend doing so for proximity to the water. Thanks for a great stay!

Condo was the very best of everything

It is rare to find something as good as is promised. The condo was perfect with wonderful views of the beach, pools and from the front door Destin. Everything was clean and extremely well stocked. You do not need to bring anything kitchen related when you stay here. The location was also great with restaurants, bars, gift shops and putt-putt all within a very short walk. I was extremely happy with my choice and stay in Destin.

It was all a dream…

We had a wonderful stay. The condo was very clean, had all the amenities that we needed. Plenty of towels, beach gear etc. We needed a early check in because we flew in on a red eye and the owner was very kind and flexible. The resort is so awesome. It has everything you need on the property. Check in was easy, plenty of luggage carts to assist with baggage. There’s a cafe and tiki bar on the property. The beautiful beach is breathtaking. I would absolutely come back to Destin and rent this unit again. Thank you!

Absolutely Perfect!

Our stay at the Pelican Beach Resort was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The condo was exactly as described with a wonderful beach feel and in very good condition. Shawn was exceptionally responsive to any questions while he was traveling overseas. The Pelican Beach resort amenities are outstanding with the cafe, multiple pools, tiki bar, beach service and close to restaurants. There’s a grocery store very close as well. We highly recommend renting this unit and we look forward to our next stay!

First Beach Trip As A Family Of 5

The condo and location were absolutely perfect for our family vacation. I’m not sure I’ve stayed anywhere before that has been as well stocked for a week long vacation - toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, laundry detergent, everything was plentiful! Kitchen was also fully stocked with everything needed to cook in the room (which was a must with 3 kiddos). Everything was very clean as well. We utilized the pull out sofa bed and I’m always leery of using those because they can be pretty gross. But this one was in great shape, clean, and actually quite comfortable. The one and only complaint that we had was the beach monitors and pool wristband monitors were absolutely horrendous. They watched us set up our gear in the wrong spot on the beach, sit there for 2+ hours, and THEN made us move even though our twin babies were asleep. And another day the pool monitor literally blocked my husband’s way back up to our room and forced him to go prove he was a guest at the front desk. Also, be aware that you’ll be significantly far back from the beach if you use your own umbrellas and chairs (of which the condo has plenty of!) because there are at least 5 rows of rentals in front of you (in August at least…I would assume that changes depending on season/crowds). We tried to rent and were told we would be 4th row at best so we chose to just deal with sitting at the back. To be fair, the owners were great about communicating the need to rent sooner than later if that’s what you plan on doing. Overall, the condo was exactly as described and our stay ultimately couldn’t have been much better!

Definitely recommend staying here. Shawn was on vacation and still very easy to get a hold of for any questions. The view was not only great from the balcony but you could see the beach perfectly from the kitchen. Our family loved it, couldn’t be happier.

Great place!

The property was just as described...updated and kept well. It was a perfect place for the two of us with a really nice big balcony to watch the sunrise and to just look at the gulf. We made breakfast and lunch in the condo every day and we had no problem finding what we needed in the well stocked kitchen. We are middle aged with grown kids and this being the off-season, hoped that we wouldn't run into too many kids. There were a lot of toddlers and the pool was full of them from sun up to sun down. Not what we really wanted but might not bother some people. This resort, however, is extremely kid friendly so it may be better suited for people with young children. The beach was fantastic...great sand, great water. I highly recommend reserving your chairs and umbrellas as soon as you book. If you decide to use your own chairs, you will not be able to get waterfront seats as you have to stay behind three rows of the paid for chairs and umbrellas. We reserved early and were placed front row every day. The location of this place is also hands down perfect. We took an Uber to dinner every night with no more than a two mile ride to all of the great restaurants that we visited. I definitely would recommend this place, especially if you are traveling with generations or children. Thanks for a great stay Shawn!
