Feel at home in this beautifully remodeled 100-year-old home in West Plaza. Open floor plan with fully equipped kitchen. TWO master bedrooms, each with California King beds. One walk-in closet. One Queen size bedroom. Two bathrooms both with spa-like shower features. Google Fiber fast high-speed Wifi, smart TV, google in every room.

Minutes’ walk or drive to local restaurants, antique shops, boutiques, and a parks. Short drive to Westport, the Plaza, Crown Center, KU med, and more! This home was made just for you!

About our home:
Your home away from home. Modern elements with a mixture of old-world charm, we have made our home appealing to your senses.
On the main level, you will enjoy an open concept. A little sitting area as you first walk in, perfect for your morning coffee from our coffee bar station or little night chats. Followed by the dining room and fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy are large smart TV as you recline on our comfy oversized couch in the Livingroom.
The Master bedroom, on the lower level, features a lush California King bed. Faux fireplace with electric candles, cute little porch off the bedroom. Access to full bath from the bedroom.
Upstairs you will find a full bathroom with bath and spa-like shower features. The upstairs spacious master bedroom has a lush California King size bed, a walk-in closet with a washer and dryer, and access to a full bathroom. The second upstairs bedroom has a lush queen size bed with a headboard. Enjoy our shelf with games and books.
We want your stay to be relaxing and enjoyable. We hope that our little touches are just what you need to feel at home!

Interaction with guests:
Our home is self-check-in with keyless entry so you will be able to come and go as you please. We can be reached through the messenger app or by phone. We love to help provide tips or things to do or place to eat if you would like. We do not foresee any reason to be at the home, but we are local and available for your needs.

Our neighborhood:
Our home is located in the West Plaza neighborhood with a sidewalk right out front. You can feel comfortable walking to the local park (just one block away) or out to eat at local restaurants and do a little shopping at boutiques.

Security:
The property has security cameras at each entrance into the house and a Ring camera at the front door. There are no cameras or recording devices inside the home.

Getting around:
There are local places to walk or take a short drive using your car (or rideshare), so many places to visit and see in just under a 15-minute drive!

Great stay

Wonderful stay! The host was so helpful and easy to contact if needed, check in was a breeze and check out as well. AMAZING location. Walkable to coffee shops and shopping and short short Uber to plaza or nice walk!

Idea location and access to the wonderful and historic Kansas City Plaza

We loved the property and amenities . It was very conducive for traveling back and forth to several of our scheduled destination's throughout the area. The centrality of the house made it no more than 15-20 min to get anywhere

Great space & location

We really enjoyed staying at this property. There was plenty of space for me and my two friends. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. The location was perfect for going to Westport and The Plaza. The host had great communication.

Great house - great location!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this house. It was nice, updated and comfortable. It is a great location to many popular areas in Kansas City. Communication with the owner was very easy - she was very responsive. The road it is on is a little busy; and we did hear some loud music nearby at times; but still a great place to stay - would highly recommend!

Nice property

We were looking for a property close to the KU Med Center and were blessed to find this property with such a nice host. We needed something quickly and the host worked with us. The home was clean and updated with a modern kitchen and two exceptional bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable!

Beautifully updated 100 year old home

Family of 4 stayed for our visit to KC. Location was perfect, centrally located for sight-seeing with lots of nearby restaurants and shops. Host was extremely responsive and helpful. House is beautifully updated but maintains some quirks of an older home, which we appreciated! Would not hesitate to recommend this property!

Perfect KC Getaway

The property manager was awesome! So many good ideas for us. The location was also super convenient, within walking distance to parks, gelato, and coffee, as well as a few restaurants. Only a short drive to Union Station. Overall it was a great stay for all of us (ages 3 to 65). Would recommend!

Adorable , functional house in great location

The house was perfect for our family of 6. Very clean and comfortable with room to spread out. Kitchen was so functional and we had everything we needed. Location was close to restaurants, coffee shops and event venues and the neighborhood was safe, vibrant and fun to be in. There is a great park a very short walk from the house as well. Highly recommend.

Good living area for family

Every appliance was high tech, and there were no directions we could find. It was very well stocked with supplies. We were grandparents with son snd family. It fit us very well as there was a bedroom on the lower floor.

Very clean and updated property. Pretty much just like pictured. Good location and very thoughtful hosts who left us priceless artwork and snacks as we arrived (children's drawings). Great greeting. The location is also good - can walk to shops and restaurants on Plaza or up on Westport Rd. Only comment is that the downstairs bedroom gets quite a bit of road noise from State Line Rd. Upstairs was very quiet though so if you are a light sleeper - would recommend staying up there. Thank you to the hosts - we had a great thanksgiving with family here.

Perfect getaway

The property is beautiful and well stocked. Worked out great for our group of 6. Comfortable beds, plush linens, everything you need in a comfortable home away from home. Great property getting even better!

This was our second stay, and it was even better than the last! The deck at the back of the house is very nice. The extra towels and sheets were greatly appreciated. Also, our kids loved the snacks! Tracy went above and beyond after we left and mailed us a forgotten stuffy. Our son would give her 150 stars for that alone!

Great place to stay!

Our family of 5 was quite comfortable here, the property hosts have made sure that we had everything we needed. Lots of nice touches that make it comfortable for anything you want to do there. The location was close to many of Kansas City's downtown attractions, as well as other popular neighborhoods like the Plaza. Only downside was the noise in the morning between the neighbors leaving early for work and the construction site across the street starting early, but I'm sure that will be over at some point. Overall a great stay and happy to stay there again.

We had a great stay and felt right at home! The property was close to so many great restaurants, shops, and a super cute coffee shop. The owner had such great communication and so many thoughtful details that made our stay one of the best we have had with VRBO.

Great property, Micromanaging Host (read through)

When I booked the property, I noticed the host posted very specific rules with a pretty harsh penalty for breaking them...cancellation and no refunds. I had to ask her permission to have a family gathering because technically it constituted a "party". We were told that we could only have a certain number of guests. We also saw that there is no smoking allowed in the property. We are not smokers but we were celebrating a family reunion and the guys went outside to smoke cigars with their bourbon. The host used the front cameras to spy on them and I had a threatening message the next morning saying "If there's anymore smoking the reservation will be canceled." My son saw the cameras flicking on and off outside. I decided to check the house and found two Google Nest assistants and two Google dots all in the bedrooms and one in the kitchen. We ended up unplugging everything and turning off the mic on the smart fridge. It was very creepy. We also saw the camera on the front porch go on at other times during the stay. The home was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. It is a very old house that has been beautifully renovated but there were issues. The ceiling leading upstairs is very low and not marked with a caution sign. My son and husband hit their heads pretty hard and my son fell down the stairs and hurt his knee after hitting the ceiling. Granted my boys are very tall but at 5'5", I had to duck when going up the stairs. The backyard is unusable, the rocks in the front yard are constantly shifting and are a falling hazard...I recommend avoiding them entirely. The upstairs floor is slanted and have fun sitting on the toilet up there leaning a little to one side. The host was very kind, answered questions, and was quick to respond but the listening and video devices in the home were unsettling and an invasion of privacy. We felt very uncomfortable. I understand cameras for protecting a property, but they should be off limits during the contract period of the rental. You can see them in the photos if you look closely. Proceed with caution on this one.

What a charming home. Two teachers and three preteens in our group. Ample room for everyone to have some space and still room to gather together as a group. The local shops and restaurants appealed to all of us. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

The Century Chic Review

We loved staying at the Century Chic in the West Plaza area. The home accommodated our large group of 8 adults comfortably. There is an air mattress and cot available. We cooked all of our meals at the house and the kitchen was well equipped to handle preparing meals for 8 people. We celebrated two events, my daughter’s birthday and Easter. The coffee station was a bonus and well equipped for a hot beverage of your choice. The home is located near a cute little antique shopping area and there are a couple of restaurants and a coffee shop a few blocks a little farther up the road. All are within walking distance. There is a park with a baseball field just a short walk, as well. The porch area is nice and the back yard will be a wonderful addition to the home away from home experience, once it is completed. Tracy was a pleasure to work with and flexible. We had an amazing time in KC because this home was exactly as advertised. About 30 minutes from the airport and a short drive to the downtown area.. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful home!

Our trip to Kansas City was all the more enjoyable because of the beautiful home we stayed in! We had two couples, one single, and one baby. It was such a luxury to have two king beds! The home is ideal with a master bedroom on the first floor. The house had everything we needed and more! Just a short drive to the city! Beautiful and clean home!

Cozy and warm

I thoroughly enjoy d staying at this home. She had everything we needed to be able to cook dinner a couple nights and provided multiple things that made the stay more relaxing and enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again. The location is wonderful too

We are a two-part team. I, Tracy, have two wonderful amazing crazy children! I love hospitality, being creative, baking, traveling, and building memories with my children. I grew up in Kanas City, KS, moved away for a while, and love being back home. I run the vacation home and get to “meet” all of you wonderful guests! Jacob, better known as Uncle Jake, fully remodeled this beautiful century-old home by himself! He loves to travel and now travels as a nurse. Jacob, the owner, decided his place would be the perfect vacation home experience while he is away. Together, we are so excited to play a part in your time here in Kansas City! We hope you love it as much as we do!
