Spacious, remodeled, family friendly lakefront home.

This lakefront home, built in 1937, has all the quant character of its time, yet has been newly renovated to give you all the modern day amenities to make you feel at rest and ease during your stay! This home sits on the west shore of Crystal Lake and provides plenty of room for you and your family and gorgeous views of the lake. The open floor plan provides room for everyone with multiple sitting areas. While the inside charm is comfortable and pleasing, the outside deck and sitting area is where you will find the breeze of the lake and the sound of the water for a truly relaxing time. So whether you are having a bonfire in the pit or taking one of the kayaks out on the water we know you will fall in love with this place like we did! A golf cart is available at an additional cost for sunset cruises and a quick run to the ice cream shop. There is parking for 4 cars.

We had an amazing vacation with the kids and grandkids. It's a perfect house with a great lake for the young ones..plenty of shallow water to enjoy! The house was great and the owners very responsive to any needs. Highly recommend!

We really love the location of this cottage. The deck out back, the bonfire area and the sandy bottom in the lake are great. Great outdoor toys and outdoor kitchen. Inside has a nice kitchen, dining and living room spaces along with plenty of bedrooms for all. Host was great. We had a mix up on our arrival date he was very generous in making it up to us. Hoping we can stay again next summer.

Nice property but not the best communication from the owner. 8 out of 10

I surprised my wife with this rental for her birthday. This property was actually owned for 25 years by my wife's family before they sold it in 2008. The cottage had some nice upgrades, like the kitchen and adding AC upstairs, since my in-laws owned it. It did retain much of the same charm including some furniture that my mother-in-law left, which I thought was pretty cool. However, the upstairs shower was the exact stall that we used to have and probably could use an upgrade. I'm pretty sure it's the same because the door would "stick" in the same way. Not a huge deal as the shower still did work. But there were 2 main issues in this trip. First, when we went to use the Keurig, we found that it was dirty and it looked as though the filter had not been changed in a very long time (if ever). Secondly, the listing said that a paddleboat was included but there was nothing in the lift. I reached out to the owner the same day for both of these issues. I also sent another message asking about renting the golf cart in the garage. The next day I got a response and was told the paddleboat was out for repair. It would have been nice to know that ahead of time as we were looking forward to using it. They did apologize for the Keurig coffee maker being dirty and said they needed to do a better job in the future. They never responded to the golf cart message. Since we didn't have the paddleboat, it would have been nice to have use of the golf cart for something more to do. Rating 8 of 10

Family wedding weekend

This was the perfect lake house for our family of 11 to enjoy our nieces wedding at Woodland Weddings ! The bedrooms accommodated all the guests, the kitchen and large dining table made for a perfect charcuterie brunch ! The patio on the lake has a gorgeous view and the sunrise over the lake was beautiful !

Great place for a bigger group

We had 10 adult family members here for a celebration with our cottage down the street that could not accommodate that many. It was great for all the options for seating, large tables indoors and out for meals. Grill and fire pit were great. Very clean. Owners very responsive. Would definitely use again or recommend for families large or small.

More spacious than it looks

Did a brothers hunting trip here, we really enjoyed the place. Had plenty of room to accommodate 10+ adults. The weather wasn't the best so we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor amenities but they were available. The only gripe was the hvac was either too hot or too cold and never felt like it was steady temp in the house.

Lovely stay

We enjoyed our time in this pleasant lakefront home. It was clean and sunny, with lots of extra amenities. There was an issue with the gas being turned off, but this was resolved ASAP by the owner. Especially enjoyed the fire pit out back, and the neighborhood was nice for strolling around. Would return!

Location location

We were looking for a special place to celebrate a big anniversary with our family - and we found it!! The house is beautiful and the property is perfect with a great deck, dock, fire pit and yard. Plenty of beds for everyone and lots of seating and tables inside. We made great memories for sure! The Hendricks were very helpful with anything we needed.

Lots of water to play

We had such great weather! Our kids had so much room to play with the water being shallow for so long. It was so relaxing, as parents, not having to worry about kids falling in. The house was spacious with plenty of places to sit and sleep.

Excellent Property

We traveled from up north Michigan for our sons to play in a baseball tournament- during graduation weekend for all colleges. Lucky we ended upon this property. It was beautiful- comfortable and clean. We would love to return to use the lake and have it be just a little warmer!

Perfect Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at your beautiful, spacious, & updated home. We loved that there were several seating areas to relax in & lots of windows to see the awesome views of the lake & watch the sunrise. The 5 upstair bedrooms were very accommodating for our group & the beds were very comfortable. The owners were friendly & very quick to reply to our messages. We didn't have any time to enjoy the outdoor amenities, but they are also a 5 star rating. I definitely recommend this vacation rental! Thanks Dave & Carolyn!

Beautiful place with room for everyone!

This property is even nice than the pictures show. Who would have thought that in October we would be able to enjoy swimming, kayaking and paddle boating, but we sure did. Great hosts too. Would definitely recommend!

Better than we thought!!!

I brought my girls mentoring group for the weekend for bonding and fun. The house was sooo much better than the pictures!!! We all were wowed. The house was a perfect location. It was very peaceful. We loved it! We will be back next year.

Cousins Weekend

This spacious lake house was perfect for our annual Cousins Weekend! Nice big kitchen table, plenty of space to relax inside and out, and lots of beds all on a beautiful lake. We used the kayaks and paddle boat and enjoyed an evening bonfire. We'll be coming back!
