Modern Cozy Cottage w/ Lake Access

Come spend a week at Crystal Lake! The "Lake House" is the perfect cottage for you and your family to come spend some time swimming in the lake, or to stay while visiting someone you know! Recently remodeled in 2021 complete with central air conditioning. It has one floor with 3 bedrooms and one full bath. Back patio has a grill and smokeless fire pit as well as a front deck with a table and chairs. Lots of space for animals to run around outside and enough paved parking for 4 cars! Just a 30 second walk to the water. Our dock has plenty of space for several boats to tie up and stairs into shallow swimming area.
New in August 2023 Stacked washer and dryer with steam. There is also a clothes line if you prefer outdoor fresh.

We rented this cute cottage for a wedding. This place was perfect! It has to be one of the cleanest rentals we have ever stayed in. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone. Thanks so much.!

Great Stay!

Property was great and great location! Had friends and family over for a BBQ. Plenty of room. Our boat was docked right across the street. Everything you need is provided and the owner is wonderful! We definitely will be booking with them again in the future.

AWESOME EXPERIENCE

BETTER THAN EXPECTED Cozy cottage in like new condition with excellent furnishings. Kaitlin (landlord) rapidly responded to our questions. Only negative is that there is only 1 bathroom- a challenge for our 4-adults family. However we were still able to host over night stays of guest family members

Not a lake front property!

We thought we were Renting a lake front property it is not a lake front!!! The lake access is across the street and between 2 houses!

Hi Debra, Our property does have lake access as stated in our headline and our listing says that it is a 30 second walk to the lake, including a map to show how to get to the lake access. When you called upset about this, we realized that you had misunderstood the post and offered to give you a full refund and allow you to rent another house. You declined and wanted to stay in the house for the rest of your stay. This review is very unfortunate especially after we gave special accomodations for you to arrive at the house the same day as your reservation, as well as reduce our minimum night allowance.

Beautiful cottage!

We absolutely loved our week at this pet-friendly cottage at Crystal Lake! Lake access was a 2 minute walk across the street and the yard was great to tie up our dogs while we chilled both in the front and back. The home is beautifully furnished and all appliances are sparkling new! The owners were quick to respond to our questions and were graciously helpful! Renting a pontoon from Just for Fun was easy and use of the dock was a real plus! We will stay here again, no doubt! Thank you for being the one and only pet-friendly rental. We are grateful for the trust you placed in us as pet owners. Kathy & Andy

Amazing Stay

I rented the Lake Cottage for a getaway! Everything was absolutely amazing! It was clean and very thoughtfully furnished. The Lake Cottage was even better in person than described. The directions were easy and the check in process was seamless. The owner has thought of everything. Lots of little touches that make you feel at home. Speaking of the host, Kaitlen is incredible; she responds instantly and is very helpful with any questions you may have. She was so accommodating. She went above and beyond. I would definitely return again and again! Book this one, you won’t be disappointed. I would recommend it to anyone!

Beautiful place to stay!

The house was very nice, and in immaculate condition.Very clean and safe, the walk to the lake only took about 30 seconds.Me and my family ( my husband, 2 daughters, one 8, one who just turned 1)Our 8 yr old is always in and out of hospitals while she waits for her kidney transplant, we spend a lot of our days seeing multiple doctors, so between work and our childrens needs, we were looking for solitude.In spite of it being a busy little beach town, we had total privacy, and we’re able to relax for the first time in a long time and recharge our batteries, which we desperately needed!Host was excellent, communication was great.You won’t be disappointed if you stay here, it’s a beautiful place!Many thanks to our hosts!

The Lake House is owned by Steve and Amy Meinhardt who live only two doors away. The Meinhardt family has also owned Rainbow Gardens Roller Rink for 36 years. Steve Meinhardt created a local Internet and phone company called Casair, now called Point Broadband and Amy Meinhardt was Superintendent of our local Central Montcalm Schools until her retirement in 2021. Their daughter Kaitlen lives on the same road and is the property manager. She is also the owner operator of the Roller Rink. We have several vacation rentals and we strive to make your stay wonderful so you return the following year.

This property has zero full time residents beside it. Is a quiet property away from the high traffic areas. Its not unusual to see plenty of wild life including deer looking at you through the window in the morning. Its only 30 steps to the access, or 80 steps from the front door to the dock. There is only one very small step to access the house making it easy in/out but also great for those that do not want stairs of any sort including access into the stand up shower.
