This beautiful lake cabin over looks Lake Gilmore with amazing views.
Gilmore Lake is a 371 acre lake located in Washburn County. It has a maximum depth of 36 feet and a public boat landing. Fish include Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye. This professionally decorated cabin comes with a sandy beach, private dock and a fire pit down by the water. Whether you're looking for adventure or a quiet relaxing weekend by the lake you can find it all her at Birch Tree Lodge. From relaxing by a fire to boating and power sports to hiking and Kayaking we have activities for all ages.

Clean, Comfortable private and professionally decorated rooms awaits you at the Birch Tree Lodge. The bunk house has central air and the main house has a window unit. The bedrooms are located on the main level as well as in the bunk house.

Birch Tree Lodge is truly a great place to recharge and vacation with family. The main house has big front windows to capture the amazing views of the lake and a wrap around porch to enjoy the outside. In the bunk house there plenty of room for eight to sleep and spread out. Come relax by a fire after a great day on the water or down at the beach. Explore the lake in a paddle boat supplied free of charge.

Dog Friendly - Tell us about your dog. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs with pre-approval and an additional fee.

ATV's and Snowmobiles - Birch Tree Lodge has room to park your trucks and trailers and the ATV trails can be accessed right at the end of our driveway. Once you arrive here you can ATV all over northern Wisconsin without having to trailer. ATV and Snowmobile trails are just down the road.
Boating: the landing is just 2 minutes down the road

Fire pit and gas grill- There is two fire pits on the property for you to enjoy. One up by the house and one down by the water for you to use during your stay with us. We supply a Gas Grill by the house for our guests to use free of charge.

Parking - You have plenty of room to park trucks and trailers here as it is a circle driveway with extra parking. Sorry no RVs on the property or tents.

Everything we needed accommodated our family of 11 nicely. Kids spent a lot of time and the beach. 3ft pretty far out from the beach which was nice for our younger kids. Nice quiet lake and decent fishing for pan fish.

We loved the place! Fishing was great! Many blue gills❤️. Nice accommodations, kitchen well stocked. Would love to be back someday!

Great place for an up North experiance.

We enjoyed our stay. We went out fishing in the mornings and caught Largemout and Northerns. We had to run alot to visit Family so we cooked very little while there. My grandkids loved having there own bunkhouse and will have wonderful memories for many years to come.. Enjoyed the local grocery store and restaurants. Would highly. We also enjoyed late night fires with smores. Just fyi for older folk. Its has a few steps down to the lake. Also no washer or dryer. Still loved the feel of the cabin and bunk house. Thanks for a great experiance.

CUTE CABIN

so the main cabin has 2 bedrooms , a living room, a kitchen and a full bathroom with toilet,sink, and tub/shower. There is a closet area that has a toilet also in this building, but that is it, one full bathroom. The second building has bunks in it and would possibly be great for 2 families that have 2 or more children to stay there. The fish eye cameras make this unit to be bigger than it is. I have owned and rented 4 prosperities over the years and i think 2 couples with each having several children would have a great time. More adults and there is not any private space. Having said that I am giving the property a 4 because it was clean and the beach toys and paddleboat for kids was nice. having to bring towels for everything........NO that ought to be part of the cleaning fee. Pots and pans in the kitchen do need to be replaced and a few more plates. If you are going to have 10 or more people stay here you will need to do dishes between every meal. Also no washer and dryer, so pack accordingly, This is fine but important for everyone to know.

Great match for my family

We sincerely enjoyed our stay here. Great response times with a few questions to kickoff our stay. We took advantage of the space to play yard games and board games, as well as fishing. Kitchen was well stocked and worked great for my crew. The surprise #2 bathroom we named it, was no big deal, smart use of the space. We appreciated our time together here, thanks for sharing your space. We look forward to next time!

A must visit

We absolutely loved the property. The location is gorgeous, you most definitely cannot beat the sunrise on a beautiful fall day. We traveled with two families and two dogs. Our kids (ages 7-11) loved having the separate bunkhouse. It offered them a little bit of freedom and allowed for a little grownup space to relax. The beach was perfect, just big enough to wade in for the kids and dogs. The yard is spacious, so they had plenty of places to run around. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Gilmore Lake

Gilmore is a beautiful lake. Clean, clear and sandy bottom. Great swimming, wading and boating. The property was very clean and the bunkhouse was adorable. It is hard to find properties that accept pets and we had a dog visitor for a few days, so that is a nice feature. Be aware, this property does not have a hot tub, there is one functional bathroom, only a toilet and no sink in the second bathroom, no dishwasher and no laundry faciliites. The living room seats 5 and the TV not enabled, so bring your streaming device or plan for family games.

Perfect Stay at Birch Tree Lodge

Beautiful and spacious cabin. Clean and stocked with all that we needed. Bunk house was comfortable and perfect for our guests. Sandy beach and shallow shore is great for kids! Water in Hot tub didn’t get hot. Would have been fun to use it. We will definitely come back if we visit the area again!

Not worth the high charges

Lovely setting and liked lots of things about it, BUT Not 2 bathrooms as advertised (a toilet in a closet with no sink, really?) and the advertised hot tub did not work. I am being charged a cleaning fee yet sheets on full size lower bunks were filthy and one had blood on it - no washer to do it ourselves so we were forced to cover it with one of top sheets, largest fry pan was rusted and unusable and rest were subpar - how are we supposed to cook?, and fridge not wiped out with a bunch of stuff left in it and instructions said not to leave anything unless sealed and new. This place has a lot of potential, but too high priced for what I got.

This cottage was very nice for our family gathering. The beach area was nicer than we expected and the setting was peaceful and relaxing. The ping pong table in the garage was a fun thing to do with our adult children!

Overall was a good experience- just a few things to know before you go

We just spent 4 nights at this cabin on Gilmore Lake. The lake is a beautiful - quiet lake and the property has a nice view from the cabin. The bunkhouse was the hit with our stay. We had 5 teenage girls who LOVED sleeping out there. The property is clean. The beds are comfortable. The AC unit worked very well. It was nice being able to wake up and easily walk down to the water. Overall - the stay was a success for our family. There are a few things to be aware of - just FYI. There is no washer and dryer. It doesn't list that there is - I missed that - and it was a bit of a pain not to have on site. It lists that there are two bathrooms - there is one full bath and one room that only has a toilet in it. So only one shower and sink. This area of the lake is very shallow and being able to swim or jump off the dock is not an option. You can wade in the water. Like I said - just FYI's that would have been good to know ahead of time.

Annual Family UpNorth Vacay

Very comfy furnishings, the bunk house was a great place for kids quiet time as well as family movie night! 2 bathrooms is actually 1.25 bathrooms, a bit challenging to schedule showers for 12 with busy days planned, but plenty of hot water. Dock is very high and short which posed a problem with lake being way down due to lack of rain, not typical fishing off dock that kids are used to, only caught 1 fish. The beach was great, but be sure to bring everything needed down with you because steps can get exhausting if having to make multiple trips. Hot tub was broke so no access to that. Overall enjoyed our stay but a little bit pricey in comparison to other homes in the area that provide more room and amenities. But with another rental being sold out from under us at the last minute we were very grateful to have an alternative option with such short notice. Owners have been great to work with!
