We had a delightful time staying in this house. it had everything we needed for preparing meals, playing games, relaxing, going to the beach, and riding bikes around the island. There were plenty of towels for the beach, as well as an umbrella and chairs. The patio had a barbecue that worked well. The house was immaculate and beautifully appointed. The owners were extremely generous in letting us use all their possessions . There were great books on the shelves and the art work was extremely tasteful. Kim, who manages the property was great. She was extremely helpful without being intrusive and very responsive when we had a minor issue with a bathtub drain. We had a wonderful time, enjoying this beautiful island. The location is easily accessible to all the beaches and restaurants, super market and Shelter Island Heights. We loved watching the wild life-turkeys, birds, butterflies and the roosters, pigs and sheep across the street. I can't recommend it highly enough. The only caveat I would have is if you like super firm mattresses, you might want to bring something as the mattresses, while very comfortable are foam.
