Love the Sun Shack

This was our 3rd stay at the Sun Shack and we had a wonderful time. I love the decor and the pool area is so peaceful. Very short walk to El Paseo and to all the restaurants and shopping. Thank you Leslie, we had a great time. Bob & Debbie

Quiet and relaxing

Enjoyed this property near El Paseo and Palm Desert Civic Park - were able to walk to the park and enjoy 4th of July fireworks. House is set up to be comfortable and has full amenities. Quiet neighborhood and great house for 2 people - plenty of space to lounge around and relax.

Great Location

The Sun Shack is amazing! We have stayed here two times, and have already reserved the Sun Shack for next year. The house is well stocked with everything you need, comfortable bed, private pool, and it is in a great location - just a 5 min. walk to El Paseo. Perfect Location!

We are long time visitors to this area and were so happy to find out that there are rentals in this complex. The condo had everything we needed to relax and unplug, along with walking distance to food & shopping on El Paseo. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of towels for pool & shower. The shower heads could use replacing, but that's really the only constructive feedback we can give. Overall, this a great place to stay.

Love me some Sun Shack

This is now the second time we have stayed at The Sun Shack. The privacy of the pool and the amazing decor and comfortability of the home is amazing! The neighbors are awesome, especially Barbara who is hilarious. I work in the casino business and can tell you The Sun Shack is a sure bet! We will FOR SURE be back again.

Mid Century Awesome

The sun shack is great sized 2 bedroom quintessential modern century Palm Desert getaway. The owner has done a fabulous job with the furnishings that have given me some home inspo. It's beautiful and the private pool is a good size with a lot of privacy. We walked in to a stocked bar. We don't drink but thought that was a nice touch and surprise for those that do. Grill works which was fun to throw on a steak and watch the game.. Beds were comfortable with ample pillows and blankets. Communication with Leslie was smooth and easy. I hope to return for another weekend getaway.

Great location, great private pool

This place is in a prime location with a beautiful little back yard with a perfect-sized private pool. It’s a sunbather’s dream with easy access to great shopping and restaurants. I had such a relaxing and wonderful time!

Love Shack!

We fell in love with the Sun Shack! Perfect, comfy, clean bungalow for a desert getaway. The amenities are great - wonderful beds, plush bedding, abundant towels, well-stocked kitchen and the pool is clean and refreshing (a wonderful respite from the hot summer temps)! Leslie is a wonderful host and we hope to return again to this groovy getaway! xoox

Weekend Oasis

I love Leslie's place! This is the perfect place for a weekend getaway from LA in the Palm Springs area. I prefer Rancho Mirage to Palm Springs personally and Leslie's place is by far my favorite place and most likely only place I will reserve. She is a lovely host. I rent vrbo whenever I travel which is fairly often and I Leslie is the only host to so thoughtfully stock for her guests. As I mentioned in a previous review she stocks beverages. She stocks her pantry and condiments and she even stocked coffee. Her place is spotless, well kept and very well decorated. Looking forward to my next stay.

Great location!

This was one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever taken. We absolutely loved staying at the Leslie's Sun Shack in Palm Desert. The home was clean and kitchen had all the appliances/utensils we needed. It was perfect for walking to restaurants in the evening and for shopping as well. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect house for a girl's getaway

The house is in prime location, walking distance to El Paseo. We loved the retro vibe and decor of the house. A plus for us was that the house was stocked. We cooked and didn't have to purchase too many spices as clearly the owner is home chef herself. We will definitely book again.

Gem of Palm Desert

The Sun Shack was AMAZING!!! The private patio and pool made the weekend. We travel to the area a lot and this will now be our preferred place to stay whenever we are able to. Leslie was so attentive to anything we needed and was a fabulous host.

Happy Days at the Sun Shack

A slice of heaven on earth! The backyard was like an oasis with a lovely pool that had a perfect water temperature for this time of year (Labor Day weekend), lots of palm trees to look up at, and there were a handful of pool noodles and floats to use. The house was well-stocked with everything you need, the beds were comfortable, and it was in a great location - just a 5-10 minute walk from numerous restaurants and shops. We really enjoyed our time, and will happily come back if it's available on our next trip to Palm Desert. Pro tip: bring an eye mask if in the twins bedroom, as the morning sun makes that room very bright.

Loved the retro vibe

Charming house, plenty amenities, great location, and my favorite thing- swimming at night with that GORGEOUS smell of jasmine in the air! A few hiccups along the way, but Leslie was very responsive and the issues were handled quickly. Highly recommended!

Had a great stay!

Spent 3 nights with my wife… a little relaxing weekend before the kids start school this week, & this place was perfect. Hung out poolside with cocktails most of the time… the weather was stellar Thank you Leslie! We already recommended to friends & can’t wait to come back ourselves!

Suntastic Sun Shack

Leslie’s Sun Shack made for the perfect three-night desert getaway for my wife and I. The Sun Shack was everything we could hope for and more. Walking distance to every kind of shopping, as well as, a variety of restaurant options, this property is perfectly nestled in the heart Palm Desert. If you’re a couple looking to relax and unwind for a weekend or even longer, the Sun Shack’s indoor and outdoor spaces provide the perfect environment for your recharging. The master and second bedroom are very comfortable and tastefully decorated and the bathrooms are spacious and well stocked. I was pleasantly surprised that Leslie provides hotel-level accommodations and service to make your stay comfortable and stress-free. Anytime my wife or I had a question about anything in regards to the property, Leslie was quick to respond. In summary, we couldn’t be anymore pleased with our choice to stay at the Sun Shack. It was definitely the gem in the desert we were hoping for and we look forward to booking with a Leslie again for another Palm Springs getaway.

Great place for a couple or couples

This property is the perfect mix of comfort and convenience. You are close to the hills to hike, nice shops to shop, restaurants to dine. This place is subtly retro but like your stylish aunt's place who hasn't redecorated in 40 years - this is a good thing. It has this understated mid-century charm that doesn't appear to be decorated by an overzealous millennial design student. It is charming and functional and harkens to that Mad Men episode where Draper gets lost with those French expats in Palm Springs. The owner was easy to reach and it is a quiet area. Grocery and liquor stores are close by. The pool is private, not too small but not too big, and a great refuge for afternoon cocktails and dinner outside.
