Meet Me By The Sea

Meet Me by the Sea is a charming, fully-furnished and fully-equipped Four Bedroom, One- and One-Half Bath home. Prime location with views of Long Island Sound from every room! Downstairs open front porch with both lounging and dining areas. Upstairs screened-in porch with hammock. Views galore! Very short walk to White Sands Beach, and right down the road from the Old Lyme Beach Club.

Located in a very quiet neighborhood, this home offers old-world charm while providing all the modern conveniences, including Wi-Fi and air conditioning. All new bedding, linens and towels are provided along with a kitchen loaded with amenities including both Keurig and drip coffee makers.

The large yard is perfect for volleyball/badminton. There is also an outdoor shower, a gas grill, a detached one-car garage and parking for up to three vehicles in the driveway. Everything you need is provided for a fun day at the beach including beach chairs, beach towels, umbrellas, and beach toys for the kids!

Comfortable cottage with a beautiful view

The cottage was very clean, had nice linens and the kitchen had plenty of dishes and accessories. The furniture was clean and comfortable and there was plenty of living space for 6 adults. We were fortunate to have lovely fall weather that weekend, and we spent a good deal of of free time on the porch enjoying the view of the sound.

meet me by the sea

We had a charter boat out of Groton to fish Sunday afternoon and caught a bunch of bluefish and striped bass. The cottage is beyond charming. Fully stocked and wonderful views of Long Island Sound. We will be back !

Wonderful home in fabulous setting!

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful home in a gorgeous setting! Everything was perfect -Cynthia thought of everything from stocking essentials to providing welcoming flowers and a banana bread! She was so responsive to my questions before and during our stay. Sitting on the front porch was our favorite activity with the fabulous views and sound of the waves. We did not want to leave and would love to return - highly recommend!

Charming getaway on the shore

This charming cottage is perfectly stocked for an easy getaway! Cynthia is a delightful host and we felt at home with a well organized kitchen, beautiful linens and a shed full of beach gear and toys. The pictures are spot on for what you will find when you arrive.

Quiet Peaceful Beach House

If you are looking for a quiet get away - someplace away from the crowds of the Northeast beaches, Meet Me By the Sea is a great place for a family retreat. We were only there for a weekend, but this large, immaculate cottage was the perfect getaway. The property is exactly as pictured and is only a short walk to the beach and the home has a terrific view of the water from the front porch and from the upstairs screened in deck. We hit the farmers market on Saturday morning and picked up some local goodies, barbequed and took a nature stroll in a State Park nearby. The host, Cynthia, went out of her way to leave fresh flowers and biscotti for us when we checked in. When we got about a half hour from home, my daughter realized she left some clothes in a drawer and reached out to Cynthia who replied right away and said they had the clothes and would send them to us. Five Stars!

Gem in Old Lyme!

This cottage was AMAZING! From the moment we walked in we noticed how spotless the place was. Then we started to settle in and Cynthia had absolutely everything to make our stay more than comfortable. It is decorated so beautifully and there was plenty of room for our family of 3 plus my parents. The beach was a 5 minute walk or a 2 minute drive. A beach parking pass was provided which is a hot commodity in Old Lyme. We have already talked about returning next summer. I highly recommend this place, thanks Cynthia!

Beautiful sea view cottage

This cottage was perfect! Lovely linens and towels provided by host. The house is loaded with extra amenities in the kitchen and for a day at the beach! Beautiful location to enjoy the views of the sound while eating or reading on the lovely and comfortable front porch. Beaches to walk and enjoy ! And going to sleep to the sounds of the surf… priceless 🌊❤️

Could not love the house or property owner more!

Gem of a beach house! Five stars isn't high enough! To start, the cottage is ADORABLE. Everything is clean, updated, and fresh; new linens, rugs, outdoor furniture etc, etc. Picturesque ocean views from almost every window, and from the cozy front porch. So many details covered by this thoughtful property owner- from the cozy, soft blankets on every bed, to the fresh flowers, baked goods, and ice that were left for us by the owner. Lush beach towels in a perfect bag ready to go with the beach pass to a walkable beach. Most well stocked home I have EVER rented. The property owner is equally lovely. Cynthia is so kind and responsive, a true pleasure to deal with. Can't wait to stay again!

The Cottage is unique, in that it is an original beach cottage built in 1928, almost 100 years ago! It is a good size for a cottage, with 1450 square feet and 4 bedrooms. The Cottage exudes old-world charm, while providing all the modern conveniences.

Situated in a very quiet neighborhood, you will feel very relaxed and at home in this magical cottage. With views of Long Island Sound from every room, this is a unique property.

And ... you will be just a short walk, or drive, to the beach!
