I thought my place overlooked the beach but it faced a building instead. Next time I want to be SURE I’m on the beach. Hot tub was great. Beach was very nice and amenities were easy to get. Staff were friendly and Padres Escapes was quick to correct a leak under the sink.

Great spot for family

The property was ready early, clean, and just as described. Check-in and out was very easy. There was no additional charge for parking like some other places.

Best Beach Stay!

We absolutely loved our quick getaway to the beach and stay at the Gulf Stream! The check-in process was quick and easy, the room and grounds were clean, and every staff member we encountered greeted us and asked how they could help us. Being steps from the beach was so convenient; we could run back to the room anytime we needed to. And the pool/hot tub was comfortable any time of day. We will definitely be back!

Great stay

We’ve been coming to this area for years, this was the first trip for my grandchild. There was a storm the day before we arrived and it blew out the living room TV and cable box. Amber and team did an excellent job installing a new TV and box very timely.

Great Easy to Access Condo

This condo is on second floor which is great. No elevator really needed. The elevators are very slow. You can get sneak view of the water. Room located opposite pool which is great for low noise level. Gas Grills located close to this condo. Condo clean and roomie. Twin Beds well equipped bedding. I would just ask that more trash bags be left for use over the weekend.

Also, the big knives were was well kept and one of the best Gulfstream condos we've stayed at.

Great beach property

Very well maintained complex, pool and hot tub were great. Right on the beach, as close as you can get. And just a short walk to the jetty at Packery Channel, with all its shells and sea creatures.

Padre Escapes please correct.....

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo could’ve been a five star except for,(1) there is only 1 small pan,1 pot and no cooking sheets, for a party of 6 planning to cook, this was not sufficient.(2)there was a dirty paper plate with old food on it under one of the twin beds. Not acceptable Padre Escapes! Please have your cleaning crew look under beds for trash. Other than that the condo was very nice and furnished and decorated nicely. I use Padre Escapes often in the summer and this is the first negative experience.

The proximity to the beach could not have been better. The beach was so nice and clean. We were completely satisfied with the staff and amenities. Definitely recommend and will return again.

Excellent home! We stayed during spring break. Home was clean, well maintained. Property had beautiful pool and access to a great beach. Great place for family to enjoy.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit itself was in fair shape, although the furniture really needs to be replaced. The glass coffee table is too much of a hazard to shins.Thanks to the ladies at Padre Escapes we finally got some pots and pans to cook with, wasn't any at all in the unit. The two bedrooms were a plus as was the walk in shower. Nice for us older snowbirds!The beds were quite comfy. The unit could use a new coat of paint, pretty scuffed up in a lot of areas.

Amazing Place To Stay

Great “Regular Folks” Vacation

My family had a wonderful time on the beach in this condo. We stayed a full 7 days and took advantage of all the amenities on the property. This is not a 5 star experience, so keep that in mind. The listing is very accurate and is priced appropriately. It had some issues but we are just “regular folks” and don’t require perfection. The good: There is a front office that is extremely helpful if you have any questions or problems. That is also where you check in and get your key. There is a loading area very close to the gate, where you can get your suitcases up one flight of stairs to your room very easily. The property has 2 elevators if you need them but it’s a little further to walk. The pool is nice and the staff make sure everyone follows the rules and strictly enforces the 11:00pm closing time. We used the shower by the pool after being at the beach and took a dip in the pool to really get rinsed off. There is tons of storage in the unit for clothes. Both bedrooms have a good sized closet and dressers. The beach is really just a very short walk from the room. You just walk through the condo and you are there. The beach is wonderful. It’s very wide and very clean. You can rent any number of items to use (beach chairs and umbrellas, surfboards, beach loungers). We rented a golf cart and drove it around the whole week. There is a fantastic grocery store close called Island Market with lots of healthy options and fresh produce. Bad: There is no washer/dryer in the unit. There is one on the property that accepts coins or credit cards. We used it. It was fine but a little inconvenient. The view from the balcony is pretty bad but as the pictures show, you can lean over and see the water. The water pressure was not great. Only one person could shower at a time. There wasn’t much in the restaurant category. Lots of cheap Mexican food, pizza, and burgers but no great seafood. Even the”nice” seafood at Doc’s restaurant wasn’t that great (nice views, though). All the chain stores (WalMart, Academy) are 15-20 minutes away, over the bridge. The knives were crazy dull, so I would really recommend bringing your own if you plan to cook. It took some serious sawing to get my onion chopped. There also was a broom but no dustpan. We tracked in a lot of sand, so a dustpan would have been nice. Overall we had a wonderful vacation and would certainly stay here again. Keep in mind the beach is public.
