Excellent location

Nice detached property in a quiet area of Calahonda. Off-street parking is good for security. The back garden is a particular highlight with access to a lovely shared pool. The hosts were very helpful throughout and a pleasure to deal with.

Very good property well presented and maintained.

The villa is situated in Calahonda and is in a very quiet area. It has a great shared pool and garden area with plenty of space as well as its own private garden. It is within walking distance of local amenities and restaurants but does require a car for access to further restaurants and beach areas over the bypass. A very good property well presented and maintained and I would use again.

Villa Calahonda

This villa was just amazing, clean, tidy, beds made, plenty of towels , well appointed kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. The Villa is furnished comfortably with a good range of television channels and AC which was welcomed during the hot afternoons. The pool is a communal one but it feels like a private pool. It was just perfect. We used it mainly in the evening, after 5pm and the sun had warmed the water up so it was just fantastic. The Villa is located in a quiet neighbourhood in close proximity to supermarkets and restaurants all of which are very good . We were so happy with our choice of Villa and will definitely be going back. The host was lovely too. He was always at the end of the phone to answer any queries. Thank you Jose.

Fantastic house with great hosts!

We (4 adults & 4 kids) stayed in this villa for one week. The pictures are great, but the villa is actually better in reality. Very clean and with all the amenities that you can expect. The garden was perfect for our children and we almost had the pool for ourselves the entire period. Jose and Jean-Philippe were very helpful and took us on a guided tour upon arrival to show us where to find supermarkets, restaurants, the beach etc. Within walking distance you'll find supermarkets, mini-markets, restaurants. It's a very friendly and quiet neighborhood. The only negative part was the distance to beach, it's stated 800m, but would estimate that it's about 1.2 km to the closest beach, but that wasn't a nice one. The best beach within walking distance is Luna beach, about 1.5km. The upside is that one can grab a taxi next to Supersol on the way back to the villa for about €5. We truly recommend this villa!

Photos don't do it justice

A really nice villa that has had a lot of money and passion put into updating it. The kitchen is really well stocked with utilities and the bathrooms have been nicely updated. Nice extra touches that cleaning products are provided, along with beach towels etc. The pool is shared with other properties but during our stay we only saw two other families using it. The villa is located up a hill (most properties are in the area) and is around a 10 min walk from restaurants and bars - the walk home is a bit harsher after a glass of wine :-) There is a bit of noise to contend with as the new sports club at the back is still having some work being done. It will be finished at some stage in the future so it won't be an issue forever. The hosts are fantastic and the communication was brilliant. We would definitely look to stay again whilst visiting family in the area.

Super relaxing villa holiday

We visited the villa as a family and had a fabulous relaxing time. The villa is lovely and well cared for, everything you need is there including beach towels (a nice touch). There's lots of outdoor seating around the villa both in the shade and in the sun so just choose your favourite spot. There's also a charcoal barbecue which we used one evening. The shared pool is big, relatively quiet and very well looked after, there is shade and free sun loungers available and even during our peak season visit there was always space. Some days there there was hardly anyone there at all. Two local supermarkets, restraints and bars are within 7-8min walk and the beach within about 15-20mins. There's off-road parking if you hire a car but you can manage perfectly well without one, we used Uber for the odd trip (you'll need to enter a passport number first time you use Uber in Spain so beware) The hosts were lovely and welcomed us to the Villa personally when we arrived and provided prompt help and advice in English via WhatsApp before and during our stay (thanks José). If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, hassle free place to unwind then the villa is perfect and I would highly recommend 🙂

BEAUTIFUL RENOVATED HOUSE WITH PRIVATE GARDEN

The house is in a very good shape, recently renovated. it is composed of 3 bedrooms ( 2 medium size and one big ) . The kitchen is big with all the tools used to cook properly. The living room can be used to eat/listen music/watch TV. there is a fantastic terrasse with a garden surrounding the pool which can be used by the whole condominium ( 5 houses approx). Safety for the kids is 100%, no issue at all. the house is one kilometer + far from the beach which is fine because of the )traffic jam close to the sea ( motorway A7). you can easily go to malaga ( 25 minutes) , to Marbella ( 15 minutes) by car. IT IS better to have a car to visit beautiful villages around MIjas Costa. We went to ronda ( 60 minutes), sevilla ( 120 minutes), granada ( 120 minutes) and that was very easy going due to beautiful roads. you will find tennis clubs ( marbella royal club) , gold club within 3 minutes drive from the house. the house is calm and you can read your books in the garden during the afternoon or at night. the owners are very nice and helpul and are in the spirit of this area of Spain. we had a good time with all the family ( composed of 3 kids) and really enjoyed our 3 weeks within this house isa&jp

Perfect place for relax

If you are looking for a place far from the noisy areas full of tourists, this villa is your place. The house is fully equipped, the rooms are big and the garden is beautiful and perfect for being with friends and family doing barbecues and so on. The swimming pool was almost private, because we were there alone 90% of the time and in July, the temperature of the water was nicely warm day and night. The area is nice and quite day and night. The owners are nice and willing to help in anything you could need. I totally recommend this villa to anyone who is looking for a place to rest.

Fantastische Villa in einer ruhigen Gegend

Die Villa bietet alles was man für eine Familie benötigt und ist super ausgestattet und sauber . Ferner hat man eine schöne Aussicht von der Terrasse ins Grüne. Der Gastgeber ist super nett , organisiert und immer hilfsbereit. Die Lokation ist ideal zum ausruhen und liegt sehr zentral , um die Umgebung zu erkunden .. Strand , Málaga , Marbella , Mijas Pueblo sind praktisch um die Ecke . Wir hatten eine super Zeit und kommen wieder ..

Une maison très agréable

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable dans la villa de José. Elle est spacieuse et très bien équipée. Le jardin est luxuriant et très bien entretenu. Par ailleurs elle est vraiment au calme ce qui est agréable pour se reposer et recharger les batteries. José est très réactif, organisé et la communication a été fluide et facile. Merci pour les gâteaux à l'arrivée. Je recommande cette villa.

Magnifique maison au calme

Maison très spacieuse et très bien située, avec petit jardin fleuri mais suffisant. La maison est très bien équipée, il ne manque rien pour passer un bon séjour. Très belle et grande piscine à partager avec d'autres maisons. Beau jardin à la piscine. Hôtes très accueillants. 2 semaines au calme avec juste le bruit des cigales.

A wonderful place to stay!

From the moment we booked to our arrival and time at the villa, Jose looked after us and answered our questions promptly. He greeted us on arrival and showed us around and was available if we had a queries during our stay. The location is great with the pool just down a few steps. Local restaurants are within walking distance and all very good. We shall certainly be back, just wish we could have brought the sunshine back to the UK!

Wonderful! Merveilleux! Wunderbar!

Wir verbrachten zu 5 (Kinder 17, 14 und 3) eine wunderbare Woche in dem schönen. großen, geradezu luxuriösen Haus von José - mit vielen tollen Details noch schöner als auf den Fotos. Der Swimmingpool hat fast Schwimmbadgröße und wird tatsächlich wenig von anderen Gästen genutzt. Ein Paradies voller Blumen und Licht und trotzdem immer angenehm trotz Sommer! Nur Calahonda ist ein eher durchschnittlicher Urlauberort, aber sehr praktisch für Ausflüge nach Marbella, Mijas oder Ronda. Jose ist ein toller Gastgeber, flexibel & freundlich - sogar mit Begrüßungscava .. alles ganz wundervoll. Wir kommen wieder, irgendwann!

Prachtig!

Heel erg warm, gastvrij ontvangst. Het huis straalt klasse uit, erg ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien. Het zwembad is fantastisch en kan beschouwd worden als een privat pool. Het was heerlijk!

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by the owners. The villa is beautiful and very private the communal pool was fabulous and really quiet, I would highly recommend this villa. All amenities are within walking distance.

Magnifique villa très équipée dans un quartier calme. La situation est parfaite mais je vous conseille un moyen de locomotion pour les déplacements (supermarché, plage,...). Il y a quelques restaurants pas loin de la villa et accessible à pied. Nous nous sommes le plus souvent déplacés en taxi pour aller visiter certaines villes ( Marbella, Mijas, Porto Banus,..). La villa était nickel lorsque nous sommes arrivés, nous avions tous à notre disposition. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et répondent avec plaisir à vos questions ou vos demandes. Nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances, nous vous la conseillons sans hésitation. NB : si groupes de jeunes, ATTENTION au bruit car voisinage proche ;-)

Une très belle découverte!

Nous venons de rentrer de vacances et après avoir séjourné à Calahonda , je peux vous dire que le retour est difficile. Nous avons découvert une très belle villa dans un écrin de verdure. Tout est fait pour que l'on s'y sente bien. Après de longues journées passées à découvrir les pépites de l'Andalousie nous étions ravis de nous retrouver le soir entre amis autour de la piscine ou dans le patio pour boire un verre. Je ne vais pas décrire la maison car c'est très bien fait sur le site mais je confirme cette impression de bien être que l'on ressent en voyant les photos. Aucun doute : nous reviendrons ! Merci à nos hôtes pour les cours d'Espagnol et les bonnes adresses...
