Open floor plan! 4 full bedrooms 3 big bathrooms, all new appliances (dishwasher, wine fridge, microwave, garbage disposal, side by side refrigerator with ice and water dispenser on the door. Back deck and large front porch. Quick walk to the beach, park, dune trail, zoo and casino. Quick bike ride to downtown historical and arts districts. So much to do! 🏖

Great house, close to all that you need!

Visited for a girls weekend! Definitely walking distance to a couple bars, restaurants and the beach! Big, clean house.

Good stay

It was a good get away. The only negative thing to say is that the upstairs thermostat didn’t work very well other than that it was a good stay.

Perfect location

The property was just as displayed, the manager was great at providing check-in instructions and followed up upon check-in. The location is perfect with a quick five-minute walk to the beach, next to Dune Billie's delicious breakfast/lunch restaurant and walking distance to parks and other restaurants. The only minor complaint is that the neighbors were loud with a party outside past midnight, but maybe that doesn't happen often. We hope to return soon!

Weekend Trip

Nice, clean house in a quiet neighborhood. Within walking distance of the beach, casino, and restaurants. We did not have any issues during the stay and the owners were very quick to respond to any questions. The 3 full bathrooms were really nice for everyone getting around in the morning. I would definitely stay here again if I ever find myself back in Michigan City.

Girls Trip

Arrived early to town stopped at Cool Runnings for lunch, fabulous food and atmosphere. Check in was a bit of a mix up as the owners did not manage the outgoing and incoming(ME) parties well. The house is large and as the pictures represent. Home had all amenities needed for the amount of people it holds such as extra paper towel extra toilet paper, accessible laundry and cleaning supplies, extra sheets. The location is central to the most desirable attractions in Michigan City, walking distance to many things, such as the beach and the casino. All in all I would rent this property again.

Spending time with family

While we love seeing our adult children and grandchildren! The house wasn’t nice the mattress was dirty . We were very disappointed in this property. The picture look nice but please beware of the condition of the property very poorly done . Location was good. If you don’t care about cleanliness.

Disappointed

It looked a lot nicer online than in person. On the first night one of the smoke detectors was beeping all night. When my daughter went to shower in one of the bathrooms there was a hair ball in shower drain, dirty footprint in shower and dirty towel and then the shower door fell off its track. Woke up the next morning to another smoke detector telling us 'smoke detected'-not true. And then for our troubles we were told we would get a cleaning deposit refund and as of 23 days after we left, it has not arrived!

The home was lovely. The outside was nothing like the picture we saw when we first booked.

We arrived on Thursday. The outside of the house looked different from the pictures. It was not conducive to outdoor entertaining. It still had not had a spring cleanup. The back was hard to get into due to all of the garbage and junk.The inside was lovely, and I had a spark of hope that the rest of the trip would be better. However, the neighbors where cursing and screaming at each other for hours. The children were running wild late into the evening. We came here for some quiet and rest. That did not happen, we were actually frightened by actions of the neighbors. We had to cancel our trip for our children and grandchildren. They are not used to being exposed to such behavior. The host was oblivious to our concerns regarding the neighbors and told us that she was insulted by my comments. When we asked for some sort of refund we were denied. It was stated that the property keeper came by on Friday to try to resolve the issues we were gone, that was true we could not get out of there fast enough. It was stated that there were no issues when he arrived and the neighbors were sorry for their behavior. I was told to contact VRBO next thing I see is a scathing review of myself and husband. I had no intention of leaving a bad review, because some of it was out their control. (Noise etc.) They are responsible for posting inaccurate pictures of the outdoor accommodations.

The manager/owner of the property were very accommodating and communicated great when I have a few questions as I don’t normally use this process. The property was in great shape and very comfortable.

DONT BOTHER.

First, the house isn’t ready to rent. All the doors are just primed. The flooring is lifting in 3 areas creating horrible tripping hazard. Ac wasn’t working and messaged owner at 6pm and I woke up at 12:10am to banging on the front door and it was the owner coming to fix the AC! I was sleeping and was woken up by then when I wake up for work at 5am! Our last day we came back from work and half of the backyard was torn up because there was an issue with the neighbor. Was never told any of these issues and it says it’s a brand new house! HORRIBLE STAY!

Awesome Michigan City Getaway

The house is even better in person than it looks in the pictures! Highlights for us were the beautiful bathrooms (both 2 upstairs and 1 downstairs) and the great outdoor area out back. We did not walk to the beach, but it's certainly close enough to walk. Two good restaurants within blocks. The Sisters were amazing hosts and were very quick to respond to all of our questions both prior to and during the stay. Would definitely stay again.
