Modern Oceanview Beach House ☀ Steps To Beach
Summary:
This glamorous three story beach house offers guests a clean and contemporary space filled with natural light and high-end comfortable furnishings.
Inside there is two spacious bedrooms, three stylish bathrooms, luxe open plan living with a gourmet kitchen, elegant dining and a lounge with an inviting fireplace all leading out onto the private balcony with views out to the sea.
Ideally located only ~50 steps to the pristine beach with shops, cafes and restaurants all just a short stroll away.
The Space:
Enter the beach house via the easy electronic smart lock and be greeted with modern contemporary design, bright sun-filled rooms, balconies with ocean views, all within steps to the beach and everything Rockaway has to offer.
Take the stairs up to the first floor (15 steps) where you will find the spacious master bedroom complete with a luxurious king bed topped with hotel quality linen and bedding for that perfect night’s sleep. Wake up to ocean views from the covered master bedroom balcony and then freshen up in the ensuite bathroom with a huge walk-in shower and a his and hers vanity.
The second bedroom is perfect for families or couples with a large queen bunk bed that sleeps up to four guests as well as a crib stored in the closet for the little one. There is a central bathroom in the hall with a relaxing bath and overhead shower and a vanity filled with bathroom essentials and soft fluffy towels for each guest.
The laundry nook is also located on the first floor with a washing machine and dryer available along with complimentary laundry detergent to keep you feeling fresh and clean. We also kindly ask that guests load the washing machine up with towels before they check out to help keep our cleaning costs affordable.
Make your way up the second set of stairs (15 steps) to the top floor and into the open plan living/dining space with an additional half bath.
The beautiful gourmet kitchen is a pleasure to cook in with its sunny bay window, sleek quartz countertops and its high-end appliances. There is a full-size fridge/freezer with a chilled filtered water and ice dispenser, a large oven, a stovetop, a built-in microwave, and a dishwasher to take care of all the cleaning up. There are also additional cooking appliances available in the cabinets (mixer, blender, coffee machine and more).
Enjoy your meals at the elegant dining table set for six with a built-in serving buffet perfect for entertaining or sit up at the breakfast bar of a morning and enjoy a freshly brewed cup of coffee from the little refreshments cart filled with coffee and tea.
The galley style living space features a plush chaise lounge and comfy armchair surrounding the cozy gas fireplace and huge widescreen 65" HDTV with access to Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, HBO Max, Netflix and Roku to keep everyone entertained.
On a warm afternoon open up the large sliding doors and head out on the balcony where you can fire up the BBQ and cook up lunch or just sit out and relax with a good book and enjoy the beautiful ocean views.
Guest Access:
Guests have private access to the entire house, the free Wi-Fi, free parking, complimentary coffee, a laundry with a washing machine and dryer, two private balconies as well as access to streaming apps on the smart 65" HDTV with Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, HBO Max, Netflix and Roku.
The Neighborhood:
Located right in the heart of town and just steps to the beautiful seven-mile stretch of uninterrupted beach, with restaurants, cafés, and grocery stores all within walking distance, you can leave the car behind and enjoy the easy convenience of this central location.
There are plenty of activities for the adventurous, hike up the nearby Neahkahnie Mountain, go clamming, crabbing or trout fishing, go whale watching or just enjoy the annual events like the kite festival and arts and crafts fair.
Rockaway is best known for its beach which spans seven-miles of sand and surrounds the city with every inch of the beach open to the public.
There are many delicious cafes and restaurants to delve into like Beach Bakeshop and Grumpy's Café for breakfast with an assortment of made-from-scratch pastries and breakfast entrees or the Offshore Grill and Coffee House for the best breakfast burritos.
For lunch or dinner, the Old Oregon Smokehouse and Sand Dollar Restaurant serve up fresh and fried entrees alongside some of the best seafood chowder on the coast.
Getting Around:
The best way to get around Rockaway is by car with parking included with your stay. A second car can be parked on the street directly behind the car that pulls into the driveway or additional parking is available at the Wayside next to Sand Dollar Restaurant.
Other Things to Note:
The house is not managed by a large vacation rental company so you can expect a more personalized service when staying with us.
The ocean view is only from the balconies and it is not visible from inside of the unit.
The home does not have air conditioning which is normal for this area as the climate stays cool.
There are 30 steps in total within the house, 15 steps from the entry to the first floor and then another 15 to the top floor. There are handrails provided to keep guests feeling safe and secure when climbing the stairs.
We ask that guests start a load towels in the washing machine before they check out of the house. This is so we can keep our cleaning costs affordable and get a head start on cleaning as the cleaning crew needs to run multiple loads (sheets, blankets, towels, etc).
There is a smart doorbell at the front door which has a video camera.
The unit has a garage that you can park in, but to open the garage you'll need to enter through the front door and then open it. There is ample free on street parking as well.

We strive to make sure your time at the house is relaxing and enjoyable and are always available during your stay if there are any questions or for any recommendations on what to do and see in the area.
