Our home on Exuma, Once Upon a Tide, is located on Hooper's Bay, a quiet and spectacularly beautiful beach. It sits on a hill overlooking the beach and palm trees with a walkway leading to the beach. Our beach home has a fully outfitted kitchen, sunroom, living/dining area with a full size bed in the master bedroom and two twin beds in the guest bedroom. Relax on the beach, float in the water, swim with the turtles, play badminton or volleyball, or kayak at our home.

The host and caretaker were very welcoming! We love this location, it’s central to the island, nearby to Georgetown without being in town, there’s a couple small grocery stores within 1 km of it and it’s on hoopers beach which is our favorite in this area of the island. The home is welcoming and very well equipped, everything (and more) in the kitchen… I mean everything from a juicer to a bread machine, coffee drip and pods, toaster, toaster oven and oven. We also enjoyed the complimentary 2-person kayaks and most of all it’s literally on the beach. Morning coffee on the back deck looking over the beach was very relaxing. If you’re looking for a place on the island, I’d definitely recommend once upon a tide!

This was an ideal property for a relaxed vacation. The location was perfect for us as it was near stores and Georgetown. The beach was beautiful and not crowded and the whole process of getting there was super smooth

Great location on Hoopers Bay with beautiful views. Well equipped home with everything you need for an amazing vacation. Highly recommended!

Just as described

The home was great, well stocked. BBQ Grill, coolers, beach chairs, and kayaks too. The beach the home is located is awesome. We saw sea turtles, a sting ray and small fish.We would definitely stay here again.

Look no further.

Fantastic place, located on one of the nicest beaches in the world. We anchored our sailboat 20' from shore. House is very nice: high ceilings, great AC, spotlessly clean, washer and dryer, everything you need in the kitchen, etc... House is located ON THE BEACH. Super nice. We will be back. Hooper's Bay Gem!

Everything about Once Upon a Tide is spectacular and I didn't want to leave. The villa has it all: breathtaking views of Hooper's Bay, convenient location between airport and Georgetown, exceptionally clean and well maintained, kitchen stocked with all the essentials, spacious floor plan with endless views of the beach, comfortable furniture, plenty of beach toys and the convenience of a washer and dryer....what more could you ask for! Rosemary, property owner, was great to work with and provided detailed information prior to our arrival. She was quick to respond if we had a question. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the villa and look forward to returning. Thank you for everything, Rosemary!

Loved this house!

Once Upon a Tide is a beautiful, comfortable, well-appointed house. The hostess, Rosemary, provided great info on the property and recommedations for local activities before our arrival. Communication was great. Luther, the caretaker, met us upon arrival and showed us around. We had a small maintenance issue with one of the AC units and Rosemary ensured it was taken care of right away. All in all, these were genuinely nice people with pride in the property. The decor and artwork was obviously locally handpicked and gave it a lovely Bahamian vibe. The master bedroom was stunning: waking up in a sexy 4-post bed with a view of the morning ocean was most memorable. The kitchen was well appointed with every kind of appliance and cooking gear you could need. A water cooler was provided, in case the tap water wasn't preferred. The backyard was manicured and had an upscale feel as you walk through several palm trees onto the beach. There were beach chairs and a few miscellaneous beach items. I would definitely recommend this house if you're looking for something a little upscale that's centrally located on the island.

Amazing Location

Our family of three spent a week here in July/August 2025 and it was amazing. The home is just as described in the listing although I don’t think the pictures capture just how amazing the location is. The home was clean, well equipped, and had strong AC in all rooms. It sits on the best stretch of Hoopers Bay - calm, crystal clear waters and powdery soft sand. On many days, we had the beach entirely to ourselves. A busy day saw maybe another 3-4 groups stretched out across Hoopers Bay. The beautiful trees in front of the home offer sought after shade throughout the day. The host Rosemary was amazing and her local contact Luther was as well. We will definitely be back.
