Soft waves on calm evenings, morning tea in the ocean air, and an easy stroll to 2nd Street's cafés. The Belmont Breeze is a calm, character-filled 2-bedroom upstairs unit in a 100+ year old beach duplex, right across Ocean Blvd from the sand.

BEST FOR: couples, friends, solo travelers and remote workers who want a quiet home base. The maximum is 4 people total, including children and infants. This is a city permit and insurance limit.

THE SPACE

• Across Ocean Blvd from the beach, with volleyball courts, kiteboarding and the beach path

• Easy walk to 2nd Street's restaurants, coffee shops and pubs

• In-unit washer and dryer

PLEASE KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK

• Stairs: the only way up is a flight of old stone, open-riser steps (open gaps between each step). There's no elevator, and the second bedroom has a small doorway.

• Not childproofed: besides the open stairs, there are sharp furniture corners, light-colored furniture and unlocked cleaning supplies. We don't recommend the home for children under 12 or infants, and no crib is provided.

• Close neighbors: a neighbor lives directly below, with long-time neighbors on both sides. Footsteps on the stone steps and the washer/dryer carry into the unit below.

• City beach sounds: the home faces Ocean Blvd and the beach, with an alley behind. The windows keep it quiet inside.

• Noise monitor: a decibel-only sensor sits in the living room, to the right of the front door. It does not record audio or video. It only tells us if noise stays loud, so we can check in before a neighbor has to.

• Exterior cameras cover the front and rear of the house only. There are no cameras inside.

• Coastal weather: wind blows sand and salt onto windows and outdoor surfaces. We clean before every stay, but we can't always clean mid-stay during storms.

HOUSE RULES
• 4 people maximum at all times, including children, infants and daytime visitors

• Full names of all guests are required before check-in (city permit)

• Check-in is 3pm–10pm. Arriving later? Message us at least 24 hours ahead.

• Quiet hours are 10pm–8am. Please run laundry outside quiet hours; the machines sit above a bedroom.

• No parties, events or unregistered visitors

• No pets (service animals welcome with advance notice)

• No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property

• Repeated disturbances, extra guests or neighbor complaints may lead to cancellation of the rest of your stay

GUEST ACCESS: the whole upstairs unit is yours, with self check-in by keypad. The furnished front patio belongs to the downstairs unit, so please don't use it unless you've been invited.

PARKING: free street parking only. It's easy on weekdays and in winter. Weekends, holidays and summer can take some circling and a short walk. Watch the street-sweeping signs. You can briefly load and unload at the red curb in front, and there's a disabled parking space in front of the building. Please be aware of events in the area as they may impact parking, such as the Long Beach Marathon.

GETTING AROUND: 2nd Street is an easy walk. For nearby trips, try the local Circuit app. For downtown, rideshare saves you hunting for parking. BIG EVENTS: Long Beach hosts major waterfront events, including the Long Beach Marathon in October, holiday parades, summer festivals, and the 2028 Olympics. During these, nearby streets may close and street parking can disappear entirely. If your dates overlap one, plan to park farther away or arrive by rideshare. Not sure? Just ask us.
