Cabin with sunset VIEWs for Miles! Close to Boone and Blue Ridge Parkway

Beautiful Buck Mountain cabin sitting privately on top of 5 acres with long range mountain VIEWs to watch both sunrise and sunset from the wrap around covered porch. Sit by the gas firepit and enjoy the view. 4 step entry into 1st floor with kitchen, dining, family and ensuite master bedroom. Downstairs is the second bedroom with a queen size bed and bunk bed, full bath, laundry room. Buck Mountain has so much to offer...hiking trails, waterfalls, stocked fishing pond all within a private gated community. Wifi high speed internet and cell phone service!

Area attractions include: App State, Merlefest, FaithFest, Apple Fest, N.Wilkesboro Motor Speedway, New River tubing, trout fly fishing, skiing, antiquing and so much more! Scott Kerr Dam Lake - 8 miles away(boat rentals available). Ski resorts such as in Boone (20 minutes away) or an hour to Sugar and Beech Mtn. Tweetsie Railroad is approximately 35 minutes away. For scenic access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, you'll only have to drive 7 miles north on 421!Alpine Coaster in Banner Elk. Grandfather Mountain, Linville Caverns and many more hiking spots are within an hours drive. Shopping and day tripping to Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, West Jefferson. Wineries in Boone (Grandfather winery), West Jefferson(Old Barn Winery), Blowing Rock, Elkin(many off of 421) are a wonderful way to spend the day.

3 night minimum on holiday and special weekends (4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Merlefest). 4 night minimum for Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday. ***Property not appropriate for children under the age of 8.***

We have been staying here once yearly for many years. It’s a beautiful location with great views. The house is well stocked with anything you may need and very well-kept and clean. It never disappoints. Communication with the host/owner couldn’t be any better. Highly recommend this place!!

The host was great to work with. She gave us many ideas of places to visit and they were all great. The cabin was beautiful and was perfect for what we were looking for- a quiet getaway. The kitchen was well equipped and the porches front and back had spectacular views. We would love to return at another time!

Relaxing

We had a fantastically relaxing time. Cathy has a beautiful home situated overlooking the east and west. The sunrises through the trees and the sunsets over the mountain in the horizon was breathtaking. I wish I was still there. :-)

Great getaway

Once again this place did not disappoint. The checkin process couldn’t have been easier and the cabin was clean and stocked with all the essentials and then some. The wrap around porch with beautiful views was amazing. This was our second time staying here and it I’ll definitely be back!

We had a great time. The home was clean and in perfect condition. The mountain views were second to none. Cathy was very helpful and responsive. Great feature was the gated mountain neighborhood. Highly recommend!

Anniversary Trip

My husband and I made a quick get-a-way to the mountains for the weekend to celebrate our 20th anniversary. The cabin/house was amazing. We had everything we needed there. The views are even better than the pictures. We sat on the porch both nights and watched the sunset together. Everything about this place is 5 stars including the host.

Sunrises and Sunsets

We enjoyed our stay and the views were beautiful. Sitting on the wrap around porch allowed for amazing sunrises and sunsets The unit has everything for you and even some things you would not have thought of. This is a place to escape to and get away from the hustle and bustle and spend quality time with your family or even on your own.

Awesome views

This cabin was just what we needed! Such awesome views of both sunsets and sunrise. Weather was different on each side of the wrap around porch. The cabin was beautifully decorated. Cathy had it stocked for what ever was needed. The cabin was secluded and so peaceful. We can’t wait to go back!

Excellent Cabin

Excellent cabin with outstanding views. The cabin was attractively decorated, very comfortably furnished and impeccably clean. The kitchen contained anything you could need. The cabin felt like someone’s home rather than a rental. The wrap around deck provided miles of mountain vistas with sunrise and sunsets. The owner was immediately responsive, friendly and helpful.

Great views, quiet and relaxing....

with multiple outdoor seating options from front porch or back porch! And thank goodness for 2 ceiling fans on each of the porches for the July heat. We enjoyed exploring Buck Mountains and hikes and the waterfalls in this private community! We went out every other day - One Day to Grandfather Mountain one day Mount Jefferson. We were quite comfortable in this cabin for our little getaway!

Great mountain retreat!

We spent 2 weeks at this homey and comfortably mountain home! Our host Cathy provided everything we needed to make our stay the refreshing, cool-air reprieve we were looking for. We have come to the NC mountains for a number of years, and my son and his wife said this was the place they've liked the best. The views were o/standing. Our communications with Cathy made it clear that she wanted us to enjoy her place. I would recommend her cabin to anyone.

Simply wonderful

This was the first vacation my family and I took since my mom passed two years ago and it was absolutely wonderful. The cabin was pristinely clean, warm and welcoming. We felt very at home and great communication with the owner. She is lovely and the views are spectacular. We loved the privacy and quietness of the beautiful cabin. Highly recommend a stay.

Spectacular mountain views

Fantastic family memories at this well-appointed, immaculate cabin with majestic views of God's country. The property owner is very accommodating and easy to communicate with. We stayed 2 nights and wished we had planned a longer stay because we enjoyed it so much. The cabin has a unique feature where you can take in the sunrise in the morning AND reflect on your relaxing day with a sunset view from the wrap-around porch, wine is optional.

Picture Perfect

Our family booked this beautiful home last minute and the owner was one of the most helpful and kind owners I’ve ever experienced through VRBO. She really cared about making sure we had everything we needed and helped with wonderful ideas for exploring the area. The home was perfect and I can’t imagine there being a better place to witness both sunrise and sunset views than from her porches. We had a perfect weekend and are thankful she shared her home with us!
