Spring break. pet friendly house,fast Wi-Fi,5min to Castle Rock Lake. Relax

Sit and relax in our beautiful home located on wooded acres while watching birds( there is more than 10 bird feeders on the lot) or enjoy beautiful Castle Rock Lake and Buckhorn State park which is 4 miles away.
Our favorite place in the house is big screened porch with fire pit- we love to sit there with morning coffee and watch hummingbirds.

Additional rental space available- small cozy cottage located on the back. It can sleep additional 4 people (2 king size beds) Please check out our video. It's $50 per night for this cottage. If you want to add this please contact me after you make a reservation.

40 minutes from Wisconsin Dells and 30 minutes to Rainbow Casino.
Christmas mount,Cascade and Devils Head for skiing or tubing are 40 minutes away.

The evenings can bring a bonfire in the fire pit and star gazing which will truly take your breath away.

2 decks and hammocks fora relaxing time are waiting for you..Using a security entry keypad, your peaceful retreat begins. Specious living room with sectional and recliner, flat screen tv , and cable if you prefer the relax while watching your favorite shows.

From the Living and dining room you can view the forest and have a peaceful meals with your family and friends .

The master bedroom features Queen bed with Serta Mattress and sofa that opens to twin bed. The master bathroom has big bath tub and shower. In the walking closet you can find crib for your little one and huge basket filled with toys for your little ones.

The second bedroom features Queen bed and bunk bed.

There is a gas burning grill on the deck for you to use.

Don't forget to bring marshmallows because you have a fire pit that you can use.

Please go and check the garage ! You will find there bikes for your use, ping pong table, foosball table, badminton and many ride-on toys for kids.

You are 4 minutes away from beautiful Castle Rock Lake and Buckhorn State Park so go ahead and enjoy your bike ride over there . Great fishing spot is just 3 minutes away ! There is coupe boat lunches very close to the house in the area .

ATV routes right from our place.

5 minutes to Necedah Bluff Rock for climbing and hiking and 15 minutes to Wildlife Refuge- beautiful place for hiking and wildlife seeing. In less than 5 minutes there is great restaurant with the best Prime Rib in town -Buckhorn Grill and Bar

Our third stay here and doesn’t disappoint. Seclusion is so nice for a get-a-way from urban home. Our pups love the spacious area outside. Everything you need is available including access to on-site firewood.

We have been coming to castle rock lake every summer for over 30 years and this has to be my favorite place we’ve stayed. It was perfect for everyone ages 7 to 73! Very clean, very spacious, it was private and had everything we needed. We especially loved the screen porch area, it was a favorite spot to hang out and entertain. Highly recommend!

Family Trip

The property was a great fit for our family and kids!!! Plenty of room and the garage space was very nice. The screen porch is a perfect place to sit if it rains. The host was very easy to contact and communicate with and we had absolutely no problems

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. It was very peaceful and relaxing (we spent a lot of time in the screen porch which was great)! The home had everything we needed and more. Very secluded and quiet

We absolutely loved our stay here. The place was immaculately clean and had so many spaces to chill out and hang out as a family before we dropped our oldest off at college. We opted to rent the bunk house for him to have his own space and he loved it! So dark at night and quiet. Perfectly located by our favorite places to visit in the area and very private. We will definitely stay here again! The screen in porch was our favorite spot at night!

Would go back immediately. As a matter of fact, we tried to book for the Fourth of July but it was taken. Personally, I think staying there for the summer would be even better. We went because our dogs love the snow and if they could talk, they would tell you they loved as well.

Family Fun

We spent the 4th of July weekend with our family. We have stayed here numerous times. This time we brought my nieces and their children. The kids loved playing in the screened in porch and garage with all of the toys. This was the first time that we also rented the small house. It was perfect for our needs. The host is wonderful. She is very responsive and helpful. The house as always was spotless. We can’t wait to go back!

Feels Like Home

We have stayed at this property numerous times. I open the door and it feels like home. The place is spotless and comfy. The back porch is my happy place. This weekend was cold and rainy. We lit a fire in the fireplace, bundled up in coats and blankets, played board games and enjoyed each others company. The porch is also awesome in the summer, no bugs. We have stayed at a lot of VRBO’s and this host is the most responsive of all. Would highly recommend for families, couples, and children.

Total Relaxation

We stayed at this property last summer and couldn’t wait to get back. We went up last weekend for a quick get away. It felt like home. The place is spotless. Our favorite is the screened in porch with the wood burning fireplace. We bundled up and spent our evenings there. We have booked this place for the 4th of July for a family trip with my nieces and their children. They will love the place. The garage is filled with riding toys, bikes, a ping pong table, you name it. Kate is a wonderful host. Very responsive. I would highly recommend this property.

Wonderful Stay

We loved our time here. It was a summer vacation with my sisters and our niece and nephews. The home worked out perfectly. Plenty of space and roomy; very comfy. It feels like home away from home. The house is very bright with the skylights. The setting in the woods is perfect. Plenty of space there too for the kids to run around and adults to relax. I have never seen a screened in porch like they have here before. We hung out there in the mornings after getting up. Perfect with the breeze and fresh air. We loved the chic touches that give it charm. At the same time felt relaxed that we didn’t have to be wary about the kids accidentally breaking something. The house had everything we needed. The kitchen is awesome; very well stocked. We like cooking and baking when on vacation and it had everything we needed. The kids loved playing outside and hanging out in the hammocks. The garage toys, ping pong table, and foosball table were a big hit. We loved our time at the nearby beaches and it was very convenient for a day trip to the Dells. Kate was great to work with and we expect we’ll come back. The kids were already asking if we could even before we left.

Off the beaten path, good location.

Here at the Shabby Chic House is everything you'll need for a week long get away. Plenty of space to get around in with a group, your dog will be excited to run around on the property. Saw some deer on the property, Bald Eagles and Turkeys are all over the area. Use caution when driving at night...... Beds are comfortable, there's plenty of fire wood for the fire place or fire pit. (fire wood is reasonably priced) The kitchen has most everything you'll need, but if you have a favorite sharp knife bring it...... It's very easy to fall asleep in the screened in room during a light rain of cool night and often did..... We cooked almost every dinner on the grill, there's plenty of Propane..... The neighborhood is very nice, we rode our bikes through it and everyone waved and seem to be happy as we rode by.... The picture of the property are very accurate.... Can't find anything I didn't like. For the outdoors men/fishermen this is at the center of all the best fishing spots, bait and boat ramps.... The Flea Market and Metal craft store are someplace you'll may want to stop at near Necedah.... Stop at the Festival market for your groceries in Mauston. We will definitely be staying here again..... Oh, almost forgot, the Perseid meteor shower was very easy to see right from the front deck !

Off the grid getaway

This rental was perfect for our short weekend getaway to Wisconsin. I booked in the middle of the week and the host still had it cleaned and ready by Friday. We will definitely be back in the summer or fall when we can enjoy the hammocks out front and the spacious yard.

Great place to relax & very dog friendly!

We had a great getaway and the house was perfect for me and my husband and our two bulldogs! The place was immaculate when we arrived and the owner was fantastic about responding to messages when we had a couple of questions. She even recommended a lovely trail by the lake that wouldn't have found otherwise. Would highly recommend for a relaxing stay surrounded by nature.
