We loved this house! Plenty of space for everyone and plenty of comforts. We saw moose outside the house everyday we were there and enjoyed the trails right outside the door. Beautiful touches of the home and beautiful surroundings. We would love to stay again!

Great accommodation. 100m to the free gondola to town or direct to the slopes.Ps. It’s an extra 100 for early checkin and the same for late checkout if available. This will not be told to you until right before you want access to the house. 1pm of early checkin and 12pm for late checkout.

Beds were all uncomfortable. Appliances and cookware were awful. Garbage disposal did not work. Bedspread in master was disgusting. It had human hair weaved in the material. We had to wash and clean everything before use(dishes, wine glasses etc) Oven temp was way off. Thank goodness we cooked our turkey at home or it would still be cooking! We have asked for compensation but have not heard back as yet. I do not recommend this particular condo

We have been 100% disappointed, to some extent, in our rentals for the last 20 years, until this one. A real nice place, not new, but well cared for. Excellent location near the free gondola for trips into town. In our two weeks there, we saw a moose cow and her calf, a large fox and a small bear, all from the living room.Minor discrepancy, no condiments, not even salt and pepper.A very enjoyable stay.

Great place

Great place, great stay, no complaints whatsoever. Walking distance to downtown (if you don't mind exercise) and close to the gondola as well. We will definitely be back to this property!

Great location for skiing and amazing customer service

Property is perfectly located within walking distance of Breck Gondola and 5 minute drive into town. House had everything we needed for a great ski trip! Management was great! We had a small issue with the dryer and they had maintenance there within minutes to fix!

This place was perfect for a group of eight. Great location, short walk to the Gondola, which was very important to us. There is the Nordic trail the passes right next to the property but we really enjoyed watching and talked to the enthusiast as we sat on the deck having a drink or a beer (one actually stopped and took me up for the offer for a beer). It truly is an experience that family thoroughly enjoyed and are planning our next trip to this property!

Thanksgiving 2024

We had an amazing Thanksgiving week at Shock Hill Retreat! It was the perfect place for our family of skiers and non skiers. We took full advantage of the home’s proximity to the gondola. You are literally a half a block to the gondola. The home could not have been more perfect. It was an idyllic place to spend time with family. We would come back in a heart beat!

Beautiful cabin

Beautiful cabin in Breckenridge. While the pictures may give the illusion of being out in the mountains away from everyone you are actually close to town. Interior is beautifully done with comfortable beds, extras like individual shampoos, conditioners and lotions and plenty of space to spread out.

A slice of heaven!

Very nice property. It was well stocked, comfortable and in a great location. We had a few issues with the house, but the property management company was quick to resolve the issues. I’d give it an A+.

Almost too nice

The property was fantastic. So fantastic that our 2 families did not want to leave after our days of skiing to check out town or do anything it else. Our two families played games and had some great family time the the beautiful common space. That type of family time is a rarity these days with 15 year olds

5 star location but mattresses sagging and not comfortable especially larger beds. Workers staining all steps and rails at the house on 7/15 with absolutely NO notification limiting access. Need to let the renter know that the kitchen has minimal cooking supplies

Phenomenal location

The location was great, hop on the free gondola to go downtown or up to Peak 8. Scenery was perfect for a mountain stay, access to walking trails. Loved that every bedroom had a bathroom plus a half bath on main floor. Very spacious. Everything was clean and tidy. There are some humidifiers and small fans available for use. Management was able to accommodate a slightly early check in and communication was great. Worth noting-there are no basic kitchen staples such as salt, pepper, oil, foil, seasonings, coffee, creamers, etc. If you plan to do any cooking or eating at the house, you will have to purchase everything. For the price/level of lodging, I would expect these basic items. Adequate supply of dishes, coffee makers, etc. Overall, I would recommend, just know the kitchen supply situation.

The overall stay was favorable . Nice to have a bath fur every bedroom. Bedrooms were lacking dresser space and bed side tables and lamps, especially queen room . Master adequate but we moved love seat and floor lamp from Master to LR fur additional seating and reading light. We own a rental home in OBX and surely supply critical staples like s&P , cooking oil, a few common spices and plastic wrap and foil during rental summer season. I was very surprised at no salt and pepper! Maybe housekeeping takes it all away? However, we had a good time and choose shock hill fur location to Breck connect. Carol

OK. Room for improvements

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was generally clean. Beds were comfy.The small bars of soap provided were something I would expect in an inexpensive hotel-Comfort Inn etc. when I requested 2 more bars for the master bath for the other sink and shower,you refused. The t.p. And paper towels were of low quality. The down stairs shower drain was plugged with hair. My son was standing in 2 inches of backed up water. He cleaned it out. Yuk!No barbecue utensils.Only 2 dish towels. Should have been 4 for the week.The bigger issue was the painting crew for 2 days-Friday and Thursday. They had drop cloths and ladders with at least 2 workers on the deck. Preventing us from using it. Or opening windows for fresh air- paint or stain fumes. They had 2 ladders on jacuzzi side of house blocking our view and preventing us from opening the windows.They played music on their boom box-annoying They stained the steps leading to the front door,preventing us from using that entrance.They asked us to move our vehicles away from the house- twice. No feasible alternative to park. We were in the neighbors way.The clanking of the aluminum ladders was disruptive when we wanted to nap and relax.All of this for 2 days was the biggest issue. I paid over $1000 a day for the full use of the home, but did not receive that. The painting or staining should of been coordinated with the HOA when no renters were there.
