Summary:
Newly remodeled in 2021, the property was originally built in the 1950s by the army corps of engineers prior to the establishment of a coastal construction line. As a result, the building is the forward of the neighboring structures offering a stunning panoramic view of the oceanfront. Several of the launch pads at the space center are even visible from the second-floor deck. The private beach access is just ten steps from the back door.
The Space:
This beautifully updated 2-bedroom, 1.5-bath, two-story townhouse is one of two townhomes at Canaveral Beachfront Villas, a historic oceanfront property located directly on the beach with private beach access.
As of 2026, the townhouses have been fully refreshed and improved, including new windows, exterior updates, a new roof, and thoughtful renovations throughout to create an even more comfortable and enjoyable beach stay.
The second floor includes two bedrooms and the full bathroom. The oceanfront king bedroom opens onto a private second-floor deck overlooking the beach and ocean, with views that may include launch pads from the Kennedy Space Center. It is a beautiful spot to enjoy morning coffee, ocean breezes, or the glow of a rocket launch when the timing is right.
The second bedroom features a queen bed and is also located on the second floor. Each bedroom includes closet storage with shelves and hangers, a laundry basket, alarm clock, TV, and ceiling fan with light kit. The full upstairs bathroom includes a walk-in shower, single vanity, and toilet.
Please note that this is a historic two-story townhouse, and the interior staircase is original-style and somewhat narrow. Guests should be comfortable using stairs during their stay.
Downstairs, the townhouse offers a bright sunroom with dining space, couches, and chairs, along with a comfortable living room that includes a queen-size sleeper sofa. Extra linens for the sleeper sofa are stored in the downstairs cubby for guest use.
The first floor also includes a half bathroom with an in-unit washer and dryer. Laundry supplies are provided for your convenience.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook and enjoy meals during your stay, and there is an additional four-seat dining area off the kitchen. We provide linens, pillows, beach towels, kitchen items, starter paper products, cleaning supplies, and basic household items. All you need to bring are your personal bathroom items, clothing, food, beverages, and your people.
Because this is a beachfront historic property, we kindly ask guests not to leave food, fruit, or open food items on the countertops. To help prevent insects or wildlife from being attracted to the unit, please store food in the refrigerator, pantry areas, sealed containers, or oven when appropriate.
Outdoor areas include a private second-floor deck off the king bedroom, a first-floor patio area, and access to the shared outdoor spaces at Canaveral Beachfront Villas, including the grill courtyard, outdoor shower, yard, and private beach access areas.
We do not currently provide beach equipment due to changing supply, safety, and replacement concerns. However, there are wonderful local rental companies that offer beach chairs, umbrellas, bikes, and other items, with delivery available during your stay.
The townhouse includes Wi-Fi, TVs in the living room and bedrooms, digital TV setups, and access to your favorite streaming apps. Spectrum cable is also available through the Spectrum TV app.
Canaveral Beachfront Villas also offers a Tesla Wall Connector for EV charging, available to guests staying on the property. There is currently one charger for the property, and it must be shared responsibly with other guests on site. The charger is for registered guests only and is not intended for visiting friends or family.
Smoking and vaping are not allowed inside the townhouse or around the property.
Whether you are here for a family beach trip, a peaceful oceanfront escape, or a launch-viewing getaway, this townhouse is designed to give you a comfortable home base with the charm of a historic beach property and the ease of modern updates.
Guest Access:
Absolutely. Here’s the reshaped **Guest Access** section for the townhouses, with the parking and access instructions folded in clearly:
**Guest Access**
Guests will have private access to the full townhouse, including the in-unit washer and dryer. Everything located inside your rented townhouse is for your private use during your stay.
Parking is available in front of and around the buildings. When parking in front of the townhouses or garage area, please pull in nose-first toward the garage or buildings and park as straight as possible. This helps ensure there is plenty of room and safe access for other guests parking around you. Please refer to the parking section for full parking details and instructions.
Guests also have access to the shared outdoor areas of the Canaveral Beachfront Villas property, including the grill courtyard, outdoor shower, yard, and beach access areas. These common outdoor spaces are reserved for guests staying at the Canaveral Beachfront Villas properties.
To access the grill courtyard and townhouse entrances, guests may use the main stairwell located between the green garage building and the blue and yellow building. This stairwell leads directly up into the grill courtyard.
For access with as few stairs as possible, guests may also use the walk-up path throught the white gate located to the north of the green garage building. This pathway leads into the grill courtyard, which is directly in front of the townhouse entrances. We recommend taking a few moments upon arrival to explore the access points on both sides of the garage so you can decide which route works best for your family during your stay.
Please note that there are no elevators on the property. As a historic beachside property, the building and grounds include some original-style access points and are not designed as an ADA-accessible property. Guests who have difficulty with stairs or mobility concerns are encouraged to contact us prior to booking so we can help determine whether the space will be a comfortable fit for your stay.
The Neighborhood:
Canaveral Beachfront Villas is located at the beach end of Grant Avenue in Cocoa Beach, on the north side of the city along Florida’s beautiful barrier island coastline. This area is loved for its wide sandy beaches, ocean breezes, relaxed coastal charm, and easy access to the activities, restaurants, attractions, and entertainment that make Cocoa Beach such a special destination.
The neighborhood itself is primarily residential, with a friendly mix of local homeowners, families, seasonal guests, short-term rental properties, and people who live and work in the area. It has that classic beach-town feeling: quiet mornings, sandy feet, neighbors walking dogs, kids heading to the beach, and visitors enjoying the sunshine.
Cocoa Beach is a family-friendly coastal community, and our area is served by both the Brevard County Sheriff’s Department and the Cocoa Beach Police Department. We ask all guests to be respectful of the neighborhood, local residents, and fellow visitors so everyone can enjoy the beach safely and comfortably.
Whether you are here for a peaceful oceanfront getaway, a family beach trip, a launch-viewing weekend, or a few days of sun and saltwater, Grant Avenue offers a wonderful home base for enjoying the best of Cocoa Beach.
Getting Around:
The Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach area is easy to explore by car, rideshare, bike, e-bike, and, in certain areas, golf cart. On the quieter neighborhood streets off A1A, guests will often see people using bikes, e-bikes, golf carts, and cars to get around.
Please note that A1A is the main roadway through the area, and guests should plan to use a regular vehicle when traveling along or across busier roadways. Bicycles and e-bikes may be used on appropriate sidewalks or paths where permitted, but golf carts are not intended for travel on A1A. Guests are responsible for following all posted traffic laws and local transportation rules during their stay.
We do recommend having a car, or being prepared to use rideshare and delivery services. While many things in Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach are relatively close, the island is long and narrow, so grocery stores, restaurants, bars, the Cocoa Beach Pier, downtown Cocoa Beach, and Historic Cocoa Village may still require a short drive.
Florida is also hot and sunny for much of the year, so walking long distances for errands, meals, or activities may not always be the most comfortable option. If you plan to explore beyond the immediate beach area, we recommend driving, using Uber or another rideshare service, renting bikes or e-bikes where appropriate, or checking the local public bus schedule.
Whether you are heading out for dinner, visiting the pier, exploring Cocoa Village, or catching a rocket launch, a little transportation planning will make your stay much easier and more enjoyable.
