Thank you so much for your interest in our beach cottage. Our cottage is fully booked for the 2024 season, except possibly the first week of June (June 1-8).

Original 1940’s beach cottage located directly on the seashore at the quiet, southern end of Moody Beach. One of only 2 beach-front homes on Moody offering both full ocean views in front and unobstructed sunset views over the Ogunquit Tidal River in back. The home was completely renovated in 1999 to include modern kitchen, more spacious bedrooms, finished bathrooms on all floors and back deck. Interior furnishings were replaced and updated in 2022. Most recently, we replaced the back deck in May 2023. We have rented our cottage for just a few weeks July - September starting in 2021.

LOCATION
Our cottage is an hour and 20 minutes north of Boston at the southerly end of sandy, private Moody Beach. We are 10-20 steps out the front door to the beach and ocean waves.

NEARBY ATTRACTIONS:
Ogunquit town center is easily reached on foot via the beach. Perkins Cove, featuring more retail shops and restaurants, is a short trolley ride, or drive, down Shore Rd southeast of Ogunquit center. "Finest Kind" lobster boat tours start there. Also the scenic Marginal Way coastal walking trail leads back to Ogunquit center. The Ogunquit Playhouse on Route 1 shows Broadway musicals and other performances throughout the summer. The Ogunquit Museum of American Art is also worthwhile.

Accessible by Car in the northbound direction: Wells Beach Lobster Pound (2 miles north on Ocean Ave) -- best steamed lobster (eat there or order for pick up and enjoy at the cottage), New England House Seafood & Sports Bar (1 mile up Bourne Ave) -- terrific Haddock sandwich, Congdon's Doughnuts (3.2 miles north on Rt 1), Borealis Breads (3.4 miles north on Rt 1), Chase Farms (7 Miles inland on Rt 9B to 9).

THE PROPERTY
Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 - Queen Bed; Bedroom 2 - Queen Bed. Additionally, 2 Twin Beds (best for young children) are located in the open upstairs hallway.

Kitchen: Fully-equipped (stove-top, oven, refrigerator), kitchen basics (pots, pans, dishware, silverware), microwave, coffee-maker, toaster, full spice-rack.

Outdoor Living: Front lawn with sun umbrella, table, 4 chairs, 2 chaises; Back deck with table, 4 chairs; Small garage stores additional beach chairs and beach umbrella; Clothes-line for beach towels and bathing suits.

Indoor Living: Open living/dining room, children's play corner, Internet/Streaming TV, washer/dryer, shower & tub, hair-dryer.
