Bad stay

Concrete restoration was going on. Construction equipment in front condo ,blocking view. Unsafe electrical wiring in bathroom and kitchen.

This guest was immediately offered a full refund upon expressing dissatisfaction. He said he was not bothered and stayed a week. We then asked him to leave and gave him a full refund of unused days. This is a disgruntled guest.

Disappointment and Joy

There is not room to submit complete review. I would be more than glad to share the total review that I created. Main concern is that we were never told about the construction that blocked the entire view for most of the time that we were there. When we saw it upon arrival, we figured we would just make do, as we were told that it would be moved, but as time went on, it pretty much stayed the same. I have spoken to an attorney. This could be construed as false advertising. There were 13 days that the total view was blocked. It was dangerous to walk to the dock. I believe that we should be reimbursed the 7 days that we had no view as advertised. I had concerns about cleanliness. I had concerns about safety. The wifi wiring outside was dangerous and we left bloodstains on the cement where my husband caught his foot in it. A light fell out of the kitchen ceiling. It was reinserted by the former resort manager. Only 2 of those lights worked. I have been told that the wiring has just been brought up to code, but that did not seem to be the case. We did chip the stove and reported it immediately. Scott (Unit Manager) inspected it and found it to be minor, said there was nothing further we needed to do. He was shocked we were there. He did not know the property had been rented. The location is gorgeous. I simply feel that we should have been told about the construction. I do have a detailed write up regarding my concerns with pictures to accompany each concern.

These guest stayed two full months. I ran into them in person on several occasions and not once did they state any concerns. I am on the premises daily. VRBO can also confirm that there was no correspondence between us regarding any of guests concerns. All wiring is code inspected and we were contacted once about guests breaking the stove top and Scott did go over immediately and said they didn't have to worry, we would take care of it. He also knew guests were there as he readies the properties for check ins. Had any of this been true, guests could have immediately reported it to VRBO for their relocations services. I was never notified by VRBO or guests of any of the stated concerns. Shameful to stay two months and then try to destroy an owner's business.
