The house itself was quaint and nicely decorated, but my stay in August was extremely uncomfortable due to the heat. Temperatures reached triple digits with high humidity, and while both bedrooms had AC units, the living room, dining room, and kitchen area only had a single ceiling fan. Opening doors and windows provided no relief, as there was no cross breeze. This made it nearly impossible to spend time outside of the bedrooms, essentially confining us there just to stay cool.I reached out to the property owner simply to ask if there was an extra fan available. Instead of being helpful, she overtalked me and dismissed my concern, reminding me that “this isn’t the US” and saying most houses in PR don’t have AC. While I understand island life and was not asking for a refund, I found her response unnecessarily defensive and unprofessional. A simple “no, I don’t have a fan available” would have sufficed.Overall, while the house itself has charm, the lack of proper cooling in the main living areas during extreme heat and the owner’s dismissive attitude left a very negative impression. I would not recommend this property for summer stays.
