Eagle's Nest on Lake Martin

Welcome to Eagle's Nest at Lake Martin! There is so much to say about this vacation spot! This 2br/2ba home, plus loft sleeps 6 and is the perfect lake spot for anyone and everyone. Every room in the house has a view and when you walk will be WOWED!!

The house is located on a flat lot with 551+/- ft WF, a boat dock/house, year-round water, and a private boat ramp. The water at the full pool is approx. 14'. For your outdoor cooking, there is a covered BBQ pit area and a gas grill on the deck... What more could you ask for when looking for a vacation rental?!

The kitchen is fully stocked with just about anything you need including a drip coffee pot for all the coffee lovers out there! The Master is equipped with a King bed, a walk-in shower, and a large soaking tub. The guest bedroom has a queen bed and a shared bathroom with a large walk-in shower. Then take the spiral staircase to the loft area that has two twin beds and a small work desk with the best view!

**Eagle's Nest is the sister property to Eagle's View, another Big Fish rental that sleeps 16. Both can be rented out together for a negotiable rate. Please contact Big Fish Real Estate Group directly to book both. Eagle's View, however, is NOT pet friendly. If rented separately, beach access is for Eagle's View use only, and the boat dock and boat house access are for Eagle's Nest use only. Both properties share a driveway so please do not block access to either property.**

**PLEASE NOTE: Water levels can fluctuate (even at full pool) due to the lack of rain. Big Fish is not responsible for any inconvenience this may cause. You can download the Alabama Power Shoreline app and monitor the water level from there. If we meet the requirements for the fall extension, the winter pool draw down will begin on October 15th each year. Please be aware of this if you are booking in the fall.**

Pets are allowed. A non-refundable $150 pet fee is required. Max of two pets.
Must be 25 years or older to book.
Exterior cameras in use.
Quiet hours are between 10 pm and 8 am
This is a non-smoking property.
The total number of occupants will not exceed the quoted number unless agreed upon.
All trash and perishables must be disposed of properly and dishes washed.
Please always leave trash bins on the road to ensure trash pick-up is not missed.
NO DIVING off Swim Platform.

What a great stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay. The dock is amazing! We loved most everything about this house. Great location and the rental company was very attentive. I can't say that our stay was flawless, however, the rental company was very attentive and responsive to our issue. Would highly recommend! Reviews usually tell you either that a place was amazing or that it was awful. What I'm saying is that is a great house, but if you have an issue, the rental company is on top of it. Making what could have been a bad experience into a good experience.

We enjoyed our stay! The outdoor areas are great for relaxing and spending time together. The kitchen was well stocked.

Too much clutter!!!

The dock is a 10 out of 10. No doubt. We loved it. We were so disappointed in the interior of the home. The owner treated her home as a home exchange instead of a VRBO rental. We felt as if she just left when we arrived. She had UPS boxes in the foyer and many were delivered during our stay. Tons of her food was in the pantry and other cabinets. Her toiletries were packed to the max in her bathroom cabinets. And the decor was cluttered...so many nix nax. It was nearly impossible to set our belongings anywhere. The master bed needs to be moved up to the wall. The pilllows kept falling behind the bed on a very dusty carpet. There was also too much furniture on the deck attached to the house. Way too many chairs. Finally, there were so many dead potted plants and burnt candles everywhere. Very gross. I have rented from VRBO so many times. Never have I seen this much personal belongings of the owner left behind in cabinets. Her home did not feel relaxing due to the clutter. This home needs to be cleaned out. Not that hard and it would easily be 5 stars.

Review

Very satisfied - sleeps 4 adults comfortably and two kids in a loft. Property Mgr. needs to make sure kitchen is better outfitted - no large serrated knife and only 5 forks were stocked. Recommend owner to have a couple of adult kayaks with oars available (I know you can rent them but having two there would be very convenient). The boathouse was a big hit - we hung out on it every day. Would definitely stay there again.

Summer on Lake Martin

Our 11th annual summer trip to Lake Martin was fantastic. The house is clean, close to the water with an excellent boat house and dock. Located on a quiet cove - - excellent and convenient access to all parts of the Lake Martin. Perfect size house for a family of five (5). Very comfortable with excellent amenities. Will look to book again next year.

Property was its own private cove. Our dog had the run of the yard. My sister brought over some kayaks and we had a blast! Had everything we needed!

A perfect get- away for a multi-generational family.

Speaking as a grandmother who loves getting away with her daughter and family, this was the perfect home. The home is an immaculate space, with generous living areas, an adorable loft for two children with their own TV, a great kitchen with the newest hotpots, coffee maker , pans and dishes, as well as a huge smart TV in the living area. The yard is surrounded by water and the view is spectacular. The house has a private little beach perfect for the family to swim or just play in the sand and water. Other amenities we enjoyed were a great pier with gazebo, L-shaped covered porch with lots of seating and lush grass areas for children to play. We will go back again.

Private Retreat

This property is situated on one of the best areas on the lake if you are looking for a private retreat for your family. The view from every single window is breath taking. Sunrises are not to be missed each morning. There is a short walk from the spacious back porch to the lake. The beds are comfortable with high thread count sheets. Kitchen well equipped. The dock is old and has peeling boards. This fact did not stop us from enjoying the lake. We were able to dock our boat and use our Lilly Pad. Plenty of room to swim and play all day. This is a special place.

Such a great spot!

We had the best time for our quick little spring break trip with the kids - and even were able to bring the dogs to this pet friendly rental. We were very pleased with how clean the house was upon our arrival and the kids loved the loft area. There were places to eat and get supplies within a 10 minute drive of the property and we were also very shocked that a lot of the necessary items were in the house - like hand soap, hair dryer, coffee, filters, etc... we brought our own, but it was a nice surprise to see that there. My only recommendation - and having had a lake house most of my life so I know this is a major expense / undertaking - was the dock and floating piers. They were in pretty bad shape and it was kind of a challenge for the kids and dogs to navigate getting from the stationary pier to the floating docks, but nothing a little concentration and agility couldn't handle. I would be weary if the kids were younger. We rented a pontoon boat from Lakeside Marina and it was a great addition to our trip. It was a bit far by water, but with a little help from Google Maps, we navigated to and from okay. We hope to come back one day when the weather is warmer!

An Alabama gem

Beautiful home in a sheltered cove with plenty of shade and good boat launch. Great place to come and fish while the family enjoys the home and the beach and dock. Had to miss a day to attend Georgia- Auburn at Jordan Hare and was very happy to get back!

Peaceful Place to RELAX!!

Super Clean and way better than the pictures represent. My only suggestion is a big one... the dock has splinters... I know that Winter is the time for Lake Maintenance, so it is probably already on the homeowner's list. The location is great and the property is just stunning.
