Located on the Summit side of the resort, you are walking distance or a Free Shuttle ride away from some of the BEST Winter and Summer activities that NW Michigan has to offer.
Indoor pool and hot tub room opens Dec. 19 for ski season.

Great little property, essentially a hotel room +. Cozy and comfy, clean, and well stocked with consumables. Bathroom door gets stuck though, and fridge door handle is falling off. Other than that, great view from the patio area.

Could not watch tv - didn’t have instructions. Suggestion: Be specific when describing if the place is on upper level, main level, or lower level…. With stairs. My husband understood that lower level meant ground level with no stairs. Very difficult for 88 year old carrying luggage 2 flights of stairs.

Pleasant Stay

This condo was as advertised. Check in was a breeze. The hosts are very responsive and will allow for some flexibility when checking in and out. There is a nice hot tub a few doors down from the condo. Having your pets is always a bonus. We have stayed many weekends at Kat and Skip’s condos and will do so again. Thanks!!

We enjoyed our stay. The pictures were an accurate representation of the property. Everything was clean and well kept. The hosts were super responsive and quick to answer. Finding the pool/beach was confusing to me but they quickly directed me on where to go when I asked. We also weren't required to do any type of clean up before leaving. This was a first for me with using travel sites. Bonus points for that.Only critiques would be that the bathroom door was super hard to shut and open. Almost like the door is too big for the frame and the soap in the bathroom was watered down. Overall, I would recommend this condo. The price is affordable for the area and the hosts are A.

Our only issue was with the Communication was we did not get our check in information until I emailed the homeowner The day before my check in other thing we didn't like about the property is the interior is a little dated and they could probably use A make over

Awesome view. Deer and turkey in the morning. Room just as advertised. Fully stocked with dishes, cleaning supplies, vacuum etc. Nice large utility closet with space to hang clothes. Futon is well, a futon not the most comfortable, but what you expect. Thank you for being pet friendly.

Simple yet beautiful

Overall this place is amazing nice location with view to the lake I now it would be more better if it is upstairs than down but still good Rooms clean and sufficient for 4 bath room very clean and well maintained. Available refrigerator microwave and have access to near by club with pool and private beach we don’t use it but next time we will….. we had fun my children enjoyed as well

High and Low Experience

POSITIVES: Condo was clean and well furnished. Adequate instructions and communications to enter and exit property. Nice location and view of landscape. NEGATIVES: Top hinge of bathroom door was missing two screws- making it difficult to close door. Mattress was either poor quality or worn- depressed in the center while trying to sleep- backs either were stiff and/or ached upon awakening. Wife sometimes slept on sleeper sofa due to back ache.

The property in the hotel is fine. But the booking agency was very poor. we needed to change 1 thing on dates after booking was made and it took over two hours to get to talk to someone. Then that person could not help and he was going to have a different person call back and never did. So with that being said I ended up paying for an extract night that I was not even there!! I would never use you again

Nice Place

The area is terrific, the resort and beach club areas were nice. The lady at the beach club was not entirely welcoming, seemed somewhat unwilling to offer information about amenities, I had to ask a lot of questions as she kept referring to us as "just guests". The hot tub pool area at our building location was out of service and closed, so we had no ability to use them, recommend taking the photos down of that area from the listing while it is not part of the package. The other pools that can be used are not on the same property location, they are about a 10 minute drive each way. Luckily we got a map of all the different resort properties from the Shanty Creek resort desk. Recommend having these available in the room. I don't recall if this information about the pools is mentioned in the listing, it should be. The pool right there where the room is close to the main resort is also not available for use with where we were staying, however the restaurants are, I didn't ask about the golf courses. The property and unit are well kept overall. Surrounded by beautiful golf courses and ski resorts, which offers some beautiful vistas, especially at sunset! The owners are pleasant to deal with. We enjoyed our stay! Thank you again!

Shanty Creek Sunsets @ 561

We enjoyed our stay and Kat and Skip’s condo. The one bedroom studio was perfect for our last minute golf getaway. We purposely picked this condo for the balcony/patio. We enjoy watching the sunset in the evening and this view did not disappoint! Nice, quiet location that was close to everything we wanted to do.

Sawtooth condo vrbo shanty creek

Very clean, easy check-in, property could use an update and a few minor repairs. Plenty of room for 2 adults. Our hosts were very accommodating and allowed an early check-in due to our travel. Would definitely recommend this property and hosts.

Wonderful, cozy stay!

Our stay was comfortable, clean and cozy. Kat and Skip thought of everything! Cute decor, toiletries just like a hotel, nice little fridge and microwave, any kitchenware you could need. Beautiful views, quiet and peaceful. A short walk to a cute little pool and a bigger pool and beach a little further. Kat and Skip were very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Great spot for a weekend stay

We stayed at this location for two nights to attend our friend's wedding festivities. Check in was easy and the instructions were clear. Everything was clean and the linens were freshly laundered. Check out was easy as well. We'd definitely stay here again when we're in the area.

Apartment retreat

This is an efficiency apartment-style unit with a large storage closet and limited kitchen and cooking options. I enjoyed a retreat just before the 4th of July holiday. It was just starting to get busy, crowded & loud when I left on July 2. I took advantage of biking to the beach, to town and around the property. There are no walking paths on the property, so be careful walking, biking or recreating in the winding & hilly road. On Friday night I had dinner at the main restaurant and it was a limited & overpriced menu. Shanty Creek is older and is run-down, with the majority of the focus/investment on summer golf and winter skiing.
